Changing the back is irrelevant. No one will see it. Generally you change an avatar's front.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

You are misinformed, sir and/or madam, as I never change an avatar's front. In fact it is extremely dangerous to do so, because anyone watching an avatar as it undergoes its transformation will be able to see into the owner's mind.

If you change the back and then quickly flip the avatar over then your bright face obscures your darker mask at all times.

NEVER! ALL SHALL FEAR CREEPY NURSE NORA! FEEAAAR THE NOOORRAAAAAAAAAA! AH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yes, I am being a supervillian. Fear her, fear the creepy chibified character from a show. Feeeaaaaar heeeeeeeeeeeeeeer! Or a mod forces me to change it. Then that just forces me to draw a mustache and well, it becomes a game of tennis between me and the mods until they finally get fed up and change it to a picture of nothing. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Neloth laid an egg.
He grew a big fat dragon and conquered the world.
Dashing through the air, on a neloth dragon.
He burnt the world for MAGIC, oh what a joy it was.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, run for your life
for Master Neloth is coming for you.
He knows when you're awake.
He knows when you're asleep
He knows when you have the heart of lorkhan for talos's sodding sake!
So you better hide, you better no cry.

Things are pretty good with me. Christmas and New Year's were good, I had a couple of weeks off work and had lots of time to chill out, relax, catch up on sleep and play Morrowind. How's things with you?

Glad to hear things are fine with you; those activities in your time off all sound good to me!
I did the same as you, aswell as generally just being lazy (it's what the holidays are for, right?!), except replace Morrowind with Ori and the Blind Forest.

My thoughts never got on nor about the moon. They did manage to achieve escape velocity, though.

Not much. Everyone's migrated over to the Discord server. The forum's all but dead now. :(

Discord is okay, but it lacks the community feel the forums (used) to have.

I reconnected with a lot of old forum friends in ESO, actually. Very happening over there, and it has that nice community feel. It's really fun. :)

Discord is indeed awesome. But what stays on the forums, stays on the forums. And I'm one of those that think that forums are still better than just instant messaging.

I could only afford ESO if I didn't spend so much on my guitar and effects and accessories for it. But it's the only ES game that I haven't played (I love TES 1-3, but only finished Morrowind base game [I'm yet to finish the expansions], the rest was OK but not really fit for me).

What about TES3 online mod for OpenMW, anyone up to some multiplayer dying to rats and mudcrabs? Dammit, I miss my first playthrough of this game. It really defined my taste for RPG open-ended world gaming.
