It can take time to get used to something new. Reminds me of the first few times I had to go into NYC on my own... Interesting to think of the things that once gave us anxiety but we've come to conquer. Example, I used to be afraid to talk to people. Wouldn't answer the phone or the doorbell or anything. And look how that turned out - can't get me to shut up these days.

I've been getting back into SNES and collecting some games from my past. I want Utopia but it's evading me. Ordered it the other day then shipping info came back and said 'cancelled out of stock.' That [&@%!] seller should give me some credit. I genuinely would if it was my acct.
Would love to. Tried buying late season plants but they all getting fried from the heat. 1 min they look great the next they look like holocaust survivors. Kinda crazy cause they're getting like 5 hrs sunlight and still cant take it. You know it's bad when damn plants are wilting in shade.
What has the Dovah of Sheo been up to? Well, he moved the rest of his stuff in, got pillows(Cheap ones that are likely to become crap within 6 months), a cushion(both pillows and cushions were £3). £2 for pillow cases. So he can sit comfortable on the ottoman chest. Got a hotplate yesterday for a tenner! Cooking atm, The lowest setting seems to be broken but the rest of it is perfect. Got saucepans and sink is fixed. Gotta be extra vigilant about what goes down it as food caused the issue. :-/ But yeah, everything is ready, the den is ready. The Dovah can freaking cook again! *rips shirt in celebration, dances*

Got a hand powered food processor and confirmed a Food Safety course for next week. Did some tidying around the place whilst job hunting and volunteering. Got my hands on some excellent reciepe books. Grub on a grant is an excellent book along with 101 good food books. Tis the name, not literally 101 books. Yet.
So yeah, tis about it. Also, I nicked all the cookies and ate them from here. It was me, UESP.

Took off of work for the first time since my birthday in early July - we’ve been too busy and only just now have been able to start taking a day off at a time again.
Treated myself to sleeping in, a massage at a spa (making use of a gift card that I won in a raffle 3 years ago and never got around to using), and a nice ramen/sushi supper.
Did a few courses and infuriatingly, the [&@%!] sink is playing up again despit my efforts. I heavily suspect some cous cous got past the strainer and really gonna to have to look for a decent plunger. FFS. Getting a washing bowl today to further my efforts of my war on food in the sink. The damn strainer was meant to prevent it! It was the chosen one, it was meant to stop the food, not join it! Reporting and getting the drainage in is something I want to avoid as it would be costly and I do not want to part with £55 for it.
On the plus side, a griddle pan is on it's way! Yay! Just need to get a heatproof table then frying is back on the menu! No, you can't join me.

Let's see...what have I been up to...
We moved to an awesome new town in Washington state, my husband and I both started new jobs, kid is growing fast (he is now a tween), I started vet tech training, about to publish my 8th novel, and we might be adopting a kitten tomorrow. Life is busy, but good. Oh, and our furnace broke, which is highly annoying. Apparently it was the original one placed in the house back in 1952. So we're getting a new one tomorrow but it won't be hooked up until a few more days. In the meantime we are using a space heater. Been too busy to game regularly but whenever I do, I still play Felina. <3
Why is so hot nowadays, I feel like I can't even go out of my car or do some cardio exercise. I had a not so productive day. Who's ready for Halloween?
Contacted my landlord for the first time today due to the sink issue deciding to escalate. The odd thing is, I've been really careful around it. No food(aside from cous cous potentially but unlikely to be that) going down it. If it doesn't go down the strainer, it ain't going down. Only removed it a few times to clean the strainer out and i think, I am gonna to have to be even more brutal. Washing up bowl through collander to catch everything, that i don't wipe down or wiping down everything again. The damn strainer should have stopped this. It should have acted. I should have known as it was foretold.
Potentially gonna to cost me if it is food and gonna to have to be even more careful. Stupid sink.

I enjoy running on the hottest days possible. Makes me feel good to know my body is physically capable of it.
Halloween always fun. I don't dress up or anything but I want to get a Mexican Luchador mask for my dog. Hard to shop for him cause he's a larger size dog.
I er... I kinda slept most of today away. Exhausted this morning despite having plenty of sleep and literally couldn't focus. So, i allowed myself a nap and I am hoping it's because I did a 6 day voluntary week at the bookshop. Otherwise, it is a red flag for me as it could mean depression. Doubt it is and likely just me being tired and overworked myself.
