Nora the Fox

"Aye, I may be. But worry not.." She dipped her finger once more in the honey before applying a quick dot on Niralie's lips, as if silencing her for but a moment "I be no match for thee" she removed her finger, leaving behind a sweet imprint amongst her compliment, and returned to tending to her burn

"It be not so much burns as it be scrapes and ointments" she said gingerly "Perhaps I am my mother's daughter.. if not her lesser" she dropped to a solemn smile, she so rarely spoke of her family this be the first time she mentioned any of it in their company

She took her coated finger, satisfied with what she could apply, and promptly stuck it in her mouth, tasting the honey as she cleaned it off. She then reached over for the bandage, and began to tie it around her finger like a cloth ring. "Are ye sure you dont want me to do more?" Alluding to what little magic she herself had

Niralie - Willowdale Inn

Niralie leaned back in surprise from the finger coming toward her face, but not enough to avoid the dab of honey being applied to her lips. She stared at Nora in mild confusion for a moment, unsure why the Nord had done so, and licked her lips to clean off the honey. "If you mean you have any healing magic, I wouldn't mind," she replied. "The sooner it's healed, the better.... I'd do it myself, but I'm a bit drained on magicka at the moment."

Nora thought for a moment, registering Niralie's response, and her own capabilities. With a nod of her head and a smile she said with a chime "Yes M'lady"

She clasped together Niralie's hand between her own, her warm touch raising her's closer to her brow, as if she was to pray. It took her a moment to recall the incantation, and when she was certain, she tried to cast a simple spell to speed up the recovery, and further more siphon some of her own reserves and zeal into the Altmer

Arellius Afer III

He sat in the darkened corner, sipping a cool ale. Despite washing his hair, it still hung in tangled webs around his ears: an unkempt, scraggle which seemed to tell you enough about the man in itself. The grit which had once decorated his face was gone however, though it remained plastered across his armour all the same: the dark, hard-boiled leather, victim of a million slights and grazes. His blades hung at his waist, ebony shortsword on his right, steel tanto on his left. He stood with a slight hunch, lingering consequence of having been slammed by the sea serpent from, what seemed like, years ago.

With Ravel speaking, he peered up from his drink and to his side. His jaw, square, masculine, features beholden by a certain aristocratic daint, he might have been handsome if not for the harshness seared into his features. His eyes wandered up and down the other person before he finally interjected:

"Some mage's 'mong us, c'n sort yah ou'f y'need't."

Ravel
Ravel turned and looked the mysterious man up and down. They'd seen dozens of people like him in their life, sellswords lacking on morality but making up for it in skill. Might be working with the people who attacked us.

"And you are...?" Ravel asked.

Arellius Afer III - Willowdale Inn

"Concern'd." The Imperial winked and the stood up: a sharp grin pressed out from his features. "B'ya c'n call me 'Rellius Demetrius Afer tha'third: sell sword, smuggler, agent o'tha Emporer--" and, he realised as he spoke, a lot more affected by the alcohol than he'd realised before he had stood up. The blades jingled at his waist as if to add effect.

"Y'mi' noh' wan' me help bu'tha'bartender can confirm I arrived wi'a host'a people: some o'tha meek'r magely sor'n I can grab'm if y'need."

He'd closed some of the distance as he spoke and left a hand out to shake. The calculations in his brain were obvious: his companions would insist their help regardless--he might as well claim the station of the Good Samaritan while it was open.

Ravel
Ravel looked anxious for a couple of seconds, especially after he mentioned being an agent of the Empire. Empire? Just what's going on here? But the young mage, in an uncharacteristic show of tact, decided not to ask him about it just yet. Ravel took Arellus's hand, wretched their head upwards and smirked. "Ravel Rallen. House Telvanni." said Ravel, introducing themselves. Ravel released their grasp and with it, the smile. They looked at the bartender. "Brandy for me, ale for my two friends." Ravel already knew what the twins liked to drink, every tavern in every town, the same drink. A 'commoner's brew' they'd say, helps them get in touch with everyday people. Of course their only frame of reference for 'everyday people' was Ravel and servants. Regardless, there was no need to ask. Ravel pointed at one of the larger tables. "We'll wait for your companions over there."

Eolwyn

With Nora tending to Niralie, there didn't seem much point in lurking around the room, therefore Eolwyn returned her chew stick to her satchel and got up from her seat.

"I'll leave you to it, then." She gave a nod to Niralie. "Nice work. Thank you for doing that."

Eolwyn exited the room and closed the door behind her. She then made her way to the Orc situated behind the bar.

Arellius After III - Willowdale Inn

The Imperial issued one of his toothier grins as the name was received and passed a nod as the other indicated he would wait at the bar.

Spotting Elowyn moving towards the bar he strode to intercept her position. "Men a' tha'bar in need'a mage: Niralie ain't t'busy, she?" Up close Eolwyn could smell the alcohol on his breath but he seemed to be in a sober enough condition.

Eolwyn - Willowdale Inn

Eolwyn glanced over to see what men Arellius was referring to.
"What do they need a mage for? Niralie is busy and has done enough for today."
She sat down on one of the bar stools.

Willowdale Inn

The twins eagerly accepted their drinks; exhaustion and anxiety often produced dry throats. They sat together almost totally in sync, and likewise raised their mugs near simultaneously to take their first hearty chugs. Ravel received a brandy from the bartender, who nodded with a soft "Enjoy".

Nora's spell went off smoothly, restoring a measure of relief to Niralie's aching body. She no longer felt like collapsing on the spot, but for true rejuvenation, no magic could beat a hot bath and a good night's sleep.

The pain finally subsided on the blackened portion of her finger, but the wound subsided for the moment.

Nora cheerily smiled at her friend "Better?"

Ravel Rallen

Ravel gave a nod of approval, hauled over a couple of septims and took the brandy, sitting down with the twins. "Cheers boys." said Ravel, raising their glass and taking a sip. Ravel's eyes briefly looked in the direction of the mercenary before looking back at their friends.

"Look, these might be the people who attacked us. So, be ready if something happens." said Ravel in a low and serious tone.

Niralie - Willowdale Inn Room

Niralie sighed in relief, closing her eyes for a moment, as the pain subsided. "Ahhh, yes, that feels much better," she said. A few moments went by, and she opened her eyes again. "I suppose now that that's done, we can move on to less serious things?”

Nora leaned over from her seat "Liiiiike.. maybe gettin'a nice meal n bath for a change?" She patted Niralie on the back, much as if she was her own kin in the barracks, possibly restrained to be softer handed on second thought "Let us discuss from where we shall set our travels and plans while we enjoy the hearth's glow, k?"

Niralie - Willowdale Inn Room

Niralie smiled, standing up. “Yes, that sounds wonderful, after so many nights out on the road. Let’s go.” She led the way back to the common area of the inn.

Eolwyn - Willowdale Inn

Eolwyn held up a finger to get the bartender's attention.
"I'll have a flagon of mead, please."

Niralie - Willowdale Inn

Upon reaching the main room of the inn, Niralie made her way to the bar. Seeing Eolwyn and Arellius there, she gave them a nod of greeting as she approached, and then said to the bartender, "I'll have wine of some sort - whatever the local favorite is."

Arellius After III - Willowdale Inn

Arellius had begun to move forward a step more to fetch Niralie, but then spotted her stepping out into the common room. He turned his body and passed a wink to Ravel.

"And'r mage, y'see, mage'ly look t'her, like'I said," he slurred.

Nora kept a comfortable pace beside Niralie, ever that friendly companion."Aye, forget te' local. What be thee house's favorite" she said with a bit of nay say charm, holding up two finger to the keep "Nother for me there"

Niralie - Willowdale Inn

As she stood at the bar, Niralie looked curiously at Arellius and the people he was addressing; he seemed to be talking about her. “Hmm?” she asked him. “What did you say about a mage?”

Ravel

Ravel got out of their seat once they heard Arellius slurring his speech, saying something about mages. The young dunmer approached the group and addressed Niralie. "Sorry, mage. Are you are mage?" Ravel asked quite intently.

Niralie - Willowdale Inn

Niralie turned her gaze back to the approaching stranger. She was uncertain what they might want - a spell to be performed, perhaps? “I am, yes,” she confirmed, her tone polite. “Is there something you need?”

Nora leaned from behind Niralie's shoulder, a hand resting on her belt as she eyed the curious stranger
