Olivia looked to the timid voice which emerged beside her, and offered a smile to Sophie. Thin-lipped, but hopefully reassuring. "You can pose as a researcher then, and help me come up with questions." Her own response set itself in deep contrast: measured, professional, aimed at being calming. Like how she addressed every worried witness ever.

In that moment her hand reached across to lightly touch against her lower arm, and she nodded. "Sound good?"

The question was added a moment later, placing Sophie in control.

Sophia/Reeds

She held both her hands upon her lap "Yes." She squirmed a bit, unsettled by her lack of confidence. She looked up, at her stark contrast, someone who just seemed to resonate with it. "I.." she stopped herself, taking a shallow breath before resuming "I'll do my best" nodding in set agreement

Travis started by addressing Sabrina's comments first. "Something like that. You're CIA, sure you heard of MKUltra. CIA mind control experiments in the 70s? They moved onto shifting crack to the ghettos in the 80s, get kids to kill each other, throw those they don't kill in jail. Now that's mundane social control, but I see no reason they'd give up the esoteric." said Travis. "And it's not. If you're expecting everything in the world to tie into a central threat, one big conspiracy you fix so we can go home at the end of the day, you gonna be disappointed. World doesn't work like that. But this keeps our cover up. Makes A-Cell think we're still on the level. How's that for you? A danger is a danger, the things out there aren't going to go easy on us just because our bosses have it out for us too."

"Right then. Got change of clothes in the bedroom drawers, if you don't like what you've got. Gonna be taking the black van downstairs to the location. Got the tech in there. And a .45 if things go south. Anyway, you're the crew of Cat's Eye. A new show for Oregon Public Broadcasting. A look at life and culture in the beautiful state of Oregon. Hasn't aired yet, producing a pilot on Arcade culture. Thus, ask all the Polybius questions you want."

Travis went through R-Cell, announcing their names and role for the upcoming operation.

"Johnathon. Camera Guy." pointing at Blake.
"Nancy. Tech." pointing at Sabrina.
"Catherine Christie. Host." pointing at Olivia.
....and Lily Jones. Assistant Reporter." pointing at Sophia.

"I'm Benjamin Franklin. Your producer and boss. Can reach me on the phone if need be." Agent Rory handed each of the agents a black flip phone, a genuine actual flip phone in the year of our lord twenty eighteen. They couldn't play Super Polybius, take pictures or check your email, but did have snake and a calculator. "Burners. An hour of pre-pay minutes on each. But still, be best if you only used them once, if you can. And keep them turned off unless you're using them. Got one number saved on it, different for each, but they're all mine. Have four phones here myself, can call me if you need to talk. Or if one of the Rosses wants to talk to me. I'm the one they've been emailing anyway."

Olivia Patel

Olivia had extended a slow nod toward Sophia--a nod she peppered with a smile as the other women seemed to advance in her confidence. But when Travis started talking she snapped her full attention back to the broader conversation.

Her brow raised at the mention of the CIA enabling smack smuggling during the 1980s. Though she decided to discard immediate misgivings. Irrespective of the truth in that claim she understood the broader point: institutions of the state sought independent power and there was a long record of them working to secure it.

Travis continued irrespective. "Catherine Christie." She muttered the alias to herself as it was assigned. Then her gaze passed between the others. In her head each of their aliases were repeated. She had them remembered in but a few seconds.

She gave a single nod of familiarity in hearing of MKUltra.

At Travis' 'how's that for you?' question, whether rhetorical or not, Sabrina calmly replied, "That's fine. Just wanted to know if it was related to the End Game."

Listening to the information given, Sabrina smiled in amusement of Travis' alias. She wasn't sure why he'd picked such a commentable name, but didn't dwell on it.
She picked up the flip phone and slid it into her jeans pocket, then stood up from her chair.

"I'm ready then." Her dark brown eyes looked at the other three, as she smoothed her fingers through her hair. "I'm guessing some of you will want to get changed first. I'd suggest writing out some questions you want to ask too." The suggestion was directed at Olivia.

Olivia Patel

Olivia extended a quick, thin-lipped smile at the suggestion. "Good idea," she nodded. Obviously.

With that, she stood up. "Unless, though, there's something left to go though"--her gaze locked onto Travis--"I am going to change into something which makes me look a little less Spook." That purse-lipped smile arose again before she nodded to Sophia. "And, eh, Lily if you want to come with, we can develop some questions at the same time."

Sophia/Reeds/Lily

As the debriefing continued, her general air of inaptitude seemed to fade away, looking far more profesionally relaxed when on the state of information, like she was giving it her full undivided attention. Even by occassion, she resumed scribbling down notes. She even stood, or rather sat, firm when her role was called, only slightly holding her breath this time around.

At a moment of reprieve, she looked off over to Olivia and the others, a few dashes of hair falling infront of her glasses 'So she's CIA? Huh?[/'] referring to Sabrina. She herself wasnt unknown to some of what occurred, even some of the stuff that didnt make it to public. One of the few benefits of having access to shared records. 'We've got a checkered past, don't we..' who was she kidding, things like this probably still do occur. She didnt even need to consider Delta Green or MJ-12.

She got dazed out of her thoughts for a moment by the woman again. "Uh.. umm.. yes, i..it would be my pleasure." she fidgetted a bit still in her chair "Just, uh.. give me a moment"

She passed off her gaze, going back to memerizing the accumulated info, before reaching the question she wanted to ask "Sir. If the primary objective is real, and terminated along with any malicious data. Am I wrong to assume all supplementary data should be treated the same? No copies, no files, no feedback, no evidence." In complete contrast to Olivia, her voice was alot more clear and decisive

She wanted to know this stuff sooner than later, even if it seemed like she was taking the initive. If they wanted anything back other than leads or outcomes, it's worth knowing.

She resumed sitting, awaiting patiently for clarification

"What do you mean?" Travis asked Sophia in a confused tone. "Like do you need to destroy pictures they have of the cabinet? Twitter posts they wrote about it? No. I mean, ideally we're going to make it took like arson or theft or something."

"Look, I'm not expecting you to do everything now. Check out the place, do an interview, case the joint, check on the security, examine the cabinet, get a feel for the couple. Once you do that you can come back here and we can take it from there."

Sabrina

"Any other information you need to give us?" Sabrina asked Travis.
"If not, I'll wait in the van."

I assume the van has a sat nav system?

Blake

"They gave us pretty good coverage of everything. I think we're as prepared as we'll be." Blake affirmed with a confident smile. "I, Mr. Johnathan, will be in the van. Thinking up a good last name to go with it." he said as he stood from his chair and made his way to the door. Given that he was already dressed for the part of an indie cameraman; fur-collared denim jacket, black shirt with a pac-man ghost on the face, and a pair of faded grey jeans; he felt no need to change at the time.

Travis took his walking stick and stood up out of his seat. "No. Good luck out there." said Agent Rory. "And look out for each other."

"Just needed clarification, sir" she stood up from her seat, smoothing out her skirt before standing at attention. A hint of unease still prevailed through her, but she swallowed her worries and said with relative practice "We'll do our best"

She dismissed herself from the table, she took a weary step towards Olivia "C..Cathrine?"

Olivia had lingered as Lily asked her question, and squeezed a smile as her alias was called. She was collecting them now. "I'll try be quick then." It was added to the rest of the group with a strong nod, before she began to leave towards the backroom where she could get a fresh pair of clothes. Moving as slowly as required to keep Lily in line.

"So, truth be told, I don't know much about video games. I don't play them really." She waited until they were out of earshot of the rest to state that. "But I am thinking we start with something of the human interest side of things, women in gaming, yada-yada, and once we have them comfortable jump across to their inspirations and eventually the cabinet: Sound good?"

Her tone struck a note of cordial professionalism, though she didn't wait on an answer before adding:

"Questions about the cabinet, that jazz of things, is what you'll need to help me with."

After being informed that there was no more information to be given, Sabrina accompanied Blake to the van.

"Hope you've got a good shoulder, Mr. Johnathan." She smiled at the soon-to-be-cameraman.
"Those cameras can be kinda heavy."

Blake

Blake chuckled as he approached the driver side of the van. "If you wanna see me flex, all you have to do is ask. All this muscle ain't just for show."

He placed his hand on the van's driver-side door and awaited the arrival of the others.

Hidden:

Traceable phones are obviously a no go, but can Blake have an old iPod for music? I just want an excuse to play some Hendrix in the story's context. Or some Blue Öyster Cult.

The raven haired woman gave a small laugh and tilted her head to the side.

"Believe me, if I want something, I don't hesitate to ask for it."
Her gaze and smile lingered on Blake.

"Looks like you're wanting to drive, then." She noted from his positioning next to the vehicle. "You know the location?"

Blake

Scrolling through a battered old camo iPod from the early 2000s, Blake nodded absent-mindedly at his position as he perused for some road tunes. "Yeah. Been to Portland a few times, I know the area where Duke street is. GPS if we need it."

[Aarah]

Sabrina

"Good." Sabrina replied, moving around to the passenger side of the van.
"I prefer to have a human that knows where they're going, than have a machine that can get us lost."

She opened the door and got inside, clicking her seatbelt into place.
"Get in then. We can get going as soon as the two ladies finish their fashion show."

Blake

With a grunt of approval, Blake hopped into the van, cranked the ignition, and plugged up his iPod to the speakers. The first song to come on was Cult Of Personality by Living Colour.

"So. Nancy." he said with a chuckle at the terrible name. "What's your feelings on this? Good vibes, bad?" he asked. He reached up to adjust the rearview mirror to a safe position, and did the same for his side mirrors. Safety first!

As Blake plugged in his tunes, Sabrina gave a side glance to the music's source. It was unclear if she liked the song or not.

She raised an eyebrow at the chuckle over her alias. It didn't appeal to her very much either, but things like names were of little importance. As long as you could remember it, then it was suitable.

"Early to say. What about you?"

"I.. uhhh.. yes, can do" she said following a few steps behind, treading in the wake of this lady's confidence. Oh how she wished to do the same "We.. we should maybe narrow it down to the arcade and indie genre.. the culture that revolves around them, women in the scene.. and then branch of towards the more technical side." She looked down at her suit "Do.. do you suppose I'm a little too.. formal? For an assistant?"

Olivia Patel

Olivia looked the other women's suit up and down, eyes casting across her person. "You look cute, but you don't want to be dressed more formally than me, so depends on what we find in here." She dropped her jacket as she entered the room now, turning the conversation back to business as she pealed through the wardrobes for clothes.

Her hand moved in rapid function, eyes flashing discriminately across each option. "I also think that's a good direction, but, I won't lie I am going to need to be fed questions on it." She paused, brow wrinkling before adding: "I should have brought a pen and paper--You don't have one?"

Her leafing intensified as she waited on that question to be answered, and with her unoccupied hand she began to unbutton her blouse: it dropped off a moment later, hitting the floor with a gentle puff.

Her back was a mass of largely taut olive-painted muscle, though she hung a bit loose around her mid-driff. It flexed with each shift of her wrist through the wardrobe. Then suddenly she turned around, holding beside her person a suede-Y wine top with a round neck, sleeves which reached to her wrists and large, round buttons rising up its centre.

"Appropriate?" A second question, and then she motioned across her chest area.

"Though you never really know until you see how it fits across these fugly things." Her lips came together in a look of disgruntlement at their mention, and then she began to try on the top.

It was rather tight, and that made her feel uncomfortable, but to Sophie it probably seemed to fit fairly well.

Sophia/Reeds/Lily

She tilted her head down, not sure how to respond to the compliment, before quickly readjusting it to an affrimative nod. She wondered to herself though, if she would have been better off with her clothes at homes. For a split moment, her mind driftes into her wearing her comfy pajamas.. She leaned off to the left, eyeing the wardrobe for something comfortable

"Ye..Yes.. of course" she took her eye off of Olivia for a moment as she reached for her scribing utinsles "Ah, yes.. here" reaching out her personal notepad just in time for her eyes to witness Olivia's blouse drop

But as if to shake her back into a reality, while the compliment was as much expected, she didnt expect her to so casually change attire right there in front of her! The hairs on the back of her neck seemed to jump as she quickly tried tried to hide her gasp from under her breath. A touch of red under her cheeks

She quickly tried to regain some composure, darting her eyes off to the side and adjusting the angle of her head obviously so. But after a few skipped heartbeats, and her gaze drifting a bit, she couldn't help but notice the muscular tone, which helped reaffirm her to look off to the side again with greater commitment.

And then, as soon as Olivia suddenly turned around, she could hardly help but jump, her sight now jolting forward. She tried to smile, clearly nervious "Y..Yes.. appropriate" though when she motioned towards her chest, she felt both a tad intimidated and jealous. After a bit, she added "It.. it looks cute on you" before holding out her notepad as if to draw away the topic to anything else

Fitted into the top, Olivia began to realise the redness that had creeped into Sophia's face--the nervousness which passed through her smile making an impression but a moment later. She didn't avoid contact herself at the thought, though it did spend a longer time focused on the notepad before she had raised a hand to refuse it. Her own smile had glistened at the compliment.

"One moment, I'll grab a pair of trousers to match." She'd power through the uncomfortableness, she decided--though second thoughts a moment later had her raise her gaze back up to the girl. "You don't mind right? I'm not that ugly I hope--and time, essence, etcetera."

She hoped to release the tension with a joke, though the smile she issued didn't quite reach her eyes.

She'd turned before further time passed for her to absorb Sophia's own reaction, dropping those trousers with an unbuckling and a less than smooth wiggle-of-her-waist as she searched. Her thighs were thick, her hamstrings bulged with definition--her glutes, well established in their own right, seemed small in comparison. However, this time she had learned better than to turn and dress. Finding a pair of tight-fitting dark grey trousers, she substituted these for her current wear. With them on, she turned around.

"Certain I don't look fat and everything fits?" With that she extended her grasp for the notepad and pen, her gaze at the same time wandering for a mirror.

"Y..Y..Yes, very well!" She retracted the notepad and held it against her chest, turning completely around now that she had been given ample warning. Though after a moment to reflect on a genuine response, she further replied "No.. no.. it's just.. I wasnt expecting you to change while I was still present.. and.. no.. ugly isnt a term I would use" she ended with a kind tone to her voice

She didnt once peak

Upon clue that she was dressed, she meekly turned around, still holding that notepad to her chest. She gave her a courtesy inspection before handing off the requested utensils "You look more than presentable, Catherine"
