I've sent attachments to other players a couple of times before-- once I sent someone some free lockpicks, and once I sent someone some free soul gems.
Tonight I was sending someone some free soul gems and I had to pay 11 gold in postage. Is that a recent change from an update, or has it always been a thing? I don't remember having to pay postage on the other occasions. It's no big deal-- I made back the 11 gold almost instantly-- but I generally carry 0 gold on me (so the guards can't take it) and I had to port back to Vivec City in the middle of a quest to get the money to pay the postage.

Re: Is Postage a new thing?
Is it possible that the previous times you have a small amount of gold on yourself that you didn't realize at the time of sending those items? Because paying postage for sending items has been around for as long as I can remember (and I have been playing since the game went free to play format).

Re: Is Postage a new thing?
Yes, that's entirely possible, and is why I asked. I'd never noticed having to pay postage before, so I was trying to figure out if that was because it was something new or if it had just never been an issue before. In the case where I first noticed it, I happened to have only 10 gold on me and the postage was 11 gold, so I couldn't send the attachment without either entering a COD amount-- which I didn't want to do-- or teleporting to one of my homes and running to the nearest bank to withdraw another 1 gold.
