You know nothing, Child. We, Brits are forced to be on CONSTANT VIGILLIANCE against the seagulls. Many sandwiches have been nicked. Many pasties never got to fufill their purpose and the seagulls can be aggressive. There has been reports of pets being attacked by the little pieces of vermin and yet, they are "Endangered." Endangered my backside. Worse, tourists think it's good to feed them. It's not. Never feed the seagulls as it can attract 30+ at once.

Was it a foodstuff that it stole? Or was it a full-on thief gull that will just steal anything for the thrill of it?Cassandra wrote:When I was in Québec, a seagull stole something straight out of my hand! That has never happened to me before. It was very unexpected.
I don't like seagulls much.
Seagulls can be extremely brazen, especially in areas where humans are common and they have become wise to a lack of threat.

I haven't had any issues with seagulls. They're chill. I did have a monkey steal a packet of chips from me when I was sitting in a jeep.

^Ha ha! I'm sorry you lost your lipbalm, but it's a pretty funny story, at least.
Somewhere in Quebec, there's a seagull with a lovely moisturised beak.

Lip balm? Hey now, seagulls don't have Sephora y'know. I'd be stealing lip balms too if I were them.

That would be a fun session of past life regression:
"Where are you now?"
India.
"And what are you doing there?"
I'm in a Jeep.
"Interesting. What else?"
A monkey just stole my chips!!!

Re: General Discussion
It's never funny. Losing a bacon sarnie to the feathered [&@%!] is always a tragedy. It is one of the worst things that can occur to a man of the south east of England. *sniffles* Bacon sarnies, you will be avenged. One day. Maybe. Never. Also, anyone that feeds them should be fined heavily. Not kidding, feeding them has resulted in the little gits relying on humans for food and will attack. I've lost so many things to them and legally, there is nothing one can do. Because "They are endangered." And the noise, they are one of the noisest birds in England. They can be aggressive too if you happen to walk past one of their nests.

Re: General Discussion
I've been binge watching Lost and noticed a couple fun things. At one point there's a guy with a 'heart rate monitor' strapped to his arm that will trigger an explosion if someone kills him. Thing is the heart rate monitor is obviously a slightly modified guitar tuner. The other little easter egg type thing is when they go to diffuse the bomb. One of the guys goes down the list of things that can't be disconnected w/o triggering the bomb, one of them being the battery. His solution is to freeze the battery with liquid nitrogen.... This is why I need to be on movie sets. If you tried that the battery would explode 1st, then the bomb second. I mean it'd happen so fast you wouldn't tell the difference but I'm just sayin.
That would be fun to talk with an actual ordinance disposal expert. I'm really good with electronics I bet I could diffuse a bomb, but not in the movie scenario where there's like 10 seconds and you have to cut the right wire.

^But it's Halloween. Canadian flag maple leaves don't say spooky.
Maple leaf flag coins would look cool, though. And it is Autumn, I suppose, so it would fit with that.
I feel it's a bit early, but I really wanna get the pumpkin coins out for everyone!
Oh and just on a completely separate note...

Re: General Discussion
You DARE post Johann Sebastian Bach on a forum that I lurk?
Oh, Countess, verily hath you earned a tongue lashing the likes of which the world has never witnessed. The bards of the ages will speak of it, not in hushed tones but in frantic shouts, mostly in part that my deranged rambling damaged their ear drums.
I just seriously hate Bach for real tho. The dude made my life a living hell during my first two years of college and I'll elaborate on that later when I have more time to do so.
