i got killmoves against my char accidentally when leveling/releveling my armor skills vs summoned dremora lord on legendary difficulty while wearing only iron boots (unaltered) . he chopped my khajiit head off his shoulders.
yea i have read something about skyrims bruma , its part of larger mod to recreate oblivion , but not by directly porting from oblivion, but to create a new version of it part by part

Well, for starters, it's a Mod. From what I've seen, it's an accurate recreation of the city, with intentions of expanding to the whole northern region. And the nice bit too, it's not a mirror copy either, after all, it's been hundred of years. Things change, like factions. Plus, since it's built off of the skyrim engine, things should look more detailed and npc's can be more dynamic

Hold up, I know there has to be a video of it somewhere.. Ah, here it is Yep, even from the trailer, I can say it's a mod I am more than happy to see made. Projects like that, ones that actually create their own experience and content that sometimes can even rival DLCs throughout the series >_> sometimes being expansions by their own right. Ya, I wouldn't mind paying or donating $10 on that. Certainly beats some reskin/modded gear someone could have made in an afternoon

I'm surprised that it's larger than Solstheim. Must be more than just the city of Bruma?
I wonder why they chose Bruma too.
(I couldn't hear the audio (my issue, not the vid) so not sure if they answered these questions there).

The Beyond Skyrim project has an obvious goal, i.e, modding in each and every province, with multiple teams taking on different regions.

As to why Bruma? Well, it makes sense, especially for a launching point. It's close to the borders of Skyrim, already a pivotal location thanks to the civil war. Culturally and environmentally it's similar. And unlike most regions, those in Cyrodil at least have a good reference thanks to Oblivion, so it's not all from scratch

But ya, it's not just the City' but also the region, fully fledged with quests, dungeons, and a quality you would expect from a Dev studio like Bethesda. Hince why I said I would gladly pay or donate for this, it rivals even the professional DLC >_> also, quality voice acting and original music? That couldn't have come free
-----
I'm curious where they will set off next. The Cyrodil team at least. I wouldn't mind Chorrol or Cheydinhal being next

Ah, yes, of course. Bruma is the closest to Skyrim.

I would like to see Cheydinhal too. I've always thought it to be the prettiest of the Cyrodiilic towns/cities.
Anvil too.

I've always liked Chorrol. Not that I'll be able to play any time soon. One of those times when I'm sad to be a console gamer; this mod seems so especially amazing.

I feel ya.

Still, if we ever go up a console generation, Skyrim Special Edition is a possibility and then mods!

There are some parts of console gaming that are fun. Other parts, not so much. I was fine as long as I ignored everything about mods and such. But that time has come to an end.

Yeah, I find once you've played the game for a good number of hours, and finished the DLC, that's when you want the mods.

I would have liked the Graphics Overhaul and some other 'essential' mods from the get-go though.

Make that three total then ^_^

Personally, I find Skingrad my favorite, just look at how it's built. Tho Bruma is sort of cheating on account of the strikingly handsome statue of theirs. Looking good pal, looking good

The Skingrad bridge is a goodun', especially at night.

The name though, Skingrad...
Sounds like a tough old sailor.

Or a posh University  But seriously tho, walking down those streets? I can't imagine how Beyond Skyrim will improve upon that. Oh, add in some ambient lighting n graphical mods, maybe a good weather mod. Oh... Foggy mornings.. Stormy nights, or the final hours of twilight.. All with the ambient lighting, decor, and candle light from the windows.. Oh.. I could just die <3

Yeah, this looks super cool. I'd download it but we're moving in 2 weeks and the last thing I need is to be enamored by Skyrim again. That game just sucks me in and never lets me go sometimes.

Bruma was always my favourite city in Cyrodiil so this sounds great. I think Cheydinhal is definitely going to be next, being bordered by Morrowind to the east (if they're gonna spread their wings there, I don't know, have they already?)

I've been following Beyond Skyrim on FB and their content looks amazing. It's a shame I play on console (if I weren't, I'd be playing Wheels Of Lull)

It's a pretty good looking mod.

The soundtrack has excellent original material with recognizable music from TES IV.
A perfect fit imo.
Listen for yourself and/or download for free from https://danielran.com/blog/beyond-skyrim-bruma-ost.

It's a huge file, 3.1GB unpacked, and on v1.33.
I installed it long enough to wander into Cyrodiil and take some screenies.
I'm waiting for another update/patch for bug fixes (currently 22 pages of bugs under the BUGS tab with 9 pages being New Issues, Known Issues and Being Looked at Issues).

Available for LE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/84946/? and SE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ods/10917/?

Ahh, the soundtrack is so good. It sounds like Skyrim and Oblivion and it's own thing all at the same time. I'm crying.

@Aarah: wait, how can you get the mod? I thought you played on console...

Oh, yes, I remembered that after I posted. I think I just didn't realize that you had SE.

Thank you. :)
Yeah, I just noticed the other day that the SE was in the store to download to try out or something. And so I downloaded to try it out!
It was quite an exciting discovery, although the reality of the mods are not as exciting as I anticipated.
At least, I mean I'm not as excited in playing with them, but I think it's just a time thing.
Would be great if I enjoyed Skyrim like I did on the first playthrough. I was totally into it then. Now, it's just not the same. Even with new things. Shame.

Maybe you can get the SE on PS4 to try?

Maybe I could... It always seemed like a bit of a waste of money, but Bruma kind of seems like it makes it worth it.

Perhaps I'll ask for it for Christmas; then I can also use my grandparents' good wifi to download stuff.
