Persona: It's usually not alluded to in the games to keep a degree of separation.

For the purposes of the roleplay? To maintain real-world integrity, unless otherwise stated, then yes. Unlike ATLUS, the developing company, we don't have to worry about copyright in the story and thus pop culture can be referred to moreso than in the games.

There might be some in-universe call-ins (ie; the party member from Persona 4, Rise Kujikawa, is a mega-popular idol in Japan and probably has some fans in the west), but other than that, pretty much the same.

Persona: The quote is not working for me and it is really [&@%!] me off! Literally refuses to display it as a quote despite me doing it and even tried quoting others to check it. All it does is show the flipping text instead of the quote box. FFS. Was gonna to post as well. *flips chair*

Perhaps, the classic still statue turns out to be an actual person but gets stabbed by said person before the alarm can be raised trick? Or take the Agent 47 approach?

Persona: make sure that you put whatever is in the quote tags in quotation marks, that can be easy to forget. Example would be

Persona: I've tried that and it doesn't want to work. Tried using Oscar instead of the full name and tis just frustrating for it to play up. But depending on my mood, i'll have another crack at it after lunch.
