@Cass
Looks like a fun, easy to replicate cosplay outfit you're planning! Winry's skirt is very short though.
Yeah, fairly priced wigs that don't look really fake are hard to come by.
I have a wavy red one but it's really shiny so it makes it look unrealistic. (Though, saying that, a did have one person ask me if it was my real hair, but everyone else thought it was a silly question).

Either shortening works.Cassandra wrote:@Aarah: A Hawkeye + Hawkeye cosplay would be lots of fun. ^-^
@Beta: Oh, you know I'd never try to shoot you. Whether I'd try to hit you with a wrench or not is another story...
@SM? Dreamer? How does one properly shorten this name?: Yeah, my first convention was Fan Expo last year, when I went as Kaylee Frye from Firefly. I'm excited to try out Winry this year. It's a good cosplay 'cause I'm actually the right age and everything. And it's not super hard to make, which is really nice. Work? What's that? Not something I want to do.
Also,It's good to know someone else on here shares my love.I adore Ed so much.
And omg Kaylee! That would be a cool cosplay, too.
Ed was my fave when I was younger, and has remained my fave over the years. He's just so awesome.

Fool of a Took. If you do that, you'll unleash the Balrog of Kazadúm and we lack a mair capable of smiting it though if you ask nicely, i'll destroy it with Ysgarmor's spoon.

I can deal with short skirts. Crop tops, not so much (hence why I'm not going with this outfit).Aarah wrote:Looks like a fun, easy to replicate cosplay outfit you're planning! Winry's skirt is very short though.
It was a lot of fun! My cosplay* was far from accurate, but people recognized me and wanted pictures, so that was neat. And it's also super comfortable, so I just wear it out and about all the time.SM-Dreamer wrote:And omg Kaylee! That would be a cool cosplay, too.

See, I'd be more comfortable in the crop top outfit than the other one (except the sandals, because, ewww, toes.) They're both funky though; whatever is comfy!
Great pic as Kaylee! You look ace!
I think Mario is perfectly fine.
Who is the girl on the right cosplaying as?

Yes, I prefer boots over sandals, as well.
That was yet another last-minute cosplay (see, my older sister and I both wanted to cosplay as soon as we heard that we were going. My younger sisters both said that they weren't going to, than changed their minds at the last minute). So she's going as Amy Pond if you squint/random person who has seen the Silence. People still recognized her, though.

Re: General Discussion
You look great Cassandra!
Speaking of cosplay, facebook ads have been trying to get me to buy these shirts all year and I'm very close to giving in. I mean, Halloween is getting closer and closer. Also I just like them.
Sans camera, Max Caulfield's outfit is what I typically wear anyway. And my hair is reverting to its natural brown.

Oh, are they all your sisters? I did wonder about the age range, but somehow never made the connection.
That's a cool family event, and that your parents are into that kind of thing.
That's also a great picture for looking at when you're all adults.
(Don't encourage Mars' pasta obsession. Shouting out pastas yourself only eggs her on more.)
@Dov
Force a Gandalf av on you? Of course not.
Oh, how on Earth did that get there?

@Aarah: Yep, those are my sisters. ^-^ It's a shame my mom isn't in the picture, she cosplayed too. I think that her cosplay this year is going to be better than anyone else's in my family, tbh. She's going as Yukio from Wolverine.

Re: General Discussion
If I ever end up in a position where I can learn the basics of cosplaying. I.e. crafting side and i'll be honest, my dyspraxia is likely to go "It would be a reaaal shame if you were to struggle to sew." (Basically, some of my fine motor skills are a bit naff. Writing is the most affected and I struggle with some things. Like tying ties. Heck, i only really got a handle on doing shoelaces in the past few years. I'm like a Bethesda game. Only, less buggy.
)
But as I was saying, if I could learn how to sew, do chainmail, Lord Sheodovah may become a thing. Or SheoPotter as apparently, I resemble Daniel Radcliffee. I would go the whole 100% with it. Robes, wand, fake glasses and probably do my best to ruin everyones definitive version of it. What? Nothing against the rules to say that a member who looks like a fictional character can't do their best to utterly ruin the character for them as petty revenge for something.
Joking aside, Sheo Potter of Hogwarts will occur one day. I would also do DMC3's Vergil, Big Boss from MGS PW(Mainly because I can get the beard done without effort), Sheogorath(The Oblivion version. Though, a lot of creative libtery may be taken with the outfit.), Darth Dovah( Basically, what Dovah would look like as a sith) and lastly, the legendary character. The man who does not cosplay. Easiest cosplay of them all. No effort involved.
@Aarah. HA! You call that forcing it on me? Pfft, Beta is so superior at doing that! Ah crap, Now I'm going to get stuck with Gandalf as an avatar. That said, I should change it from Lord Sterling of Jimterfell(Yeah, I did not make that. Even by my standards, I know that's just awful) to either Sheogorath of the Isles or a Skyrim based one. Or Link riding Alduin whilst shooting lasers out of his eyes whilst [&@%!] Metalic plays ontop of Paarthurnaux and it is a heavy metal version of the Skyrim theme.

Beta is not superior at forcing avatars upon you. I could up my game if I really wanted to. Hey, I could just change it without your consent. But I don't do stuff like that cos I'm not a cheeky lil' greenie like Mr. Cakes. I is legit.
