I really like Claddagh rings. I like the symbolism of them, as well as the look.

Are you a silver or a gold person, Kerr?

Silver. Hands down silver. It's shiny, pretty and kills werewolves. I like it.

It's a shame diamond companies trying to sell people diamonds ended up making those the popular gemstones. Because there's a tonne of gemstones which are nicer; sapphire, emerald, ruby, etc. Plain diamonds are super bland compared to more colorful gems.

I mean, bands are a good and acceptable placeholder for an engagement, not so for wedding rings. I mean, if I personally had to wear a ring? Just a metal band will work. Per one I would like to give to that special somebody? It's just gotta have that stone.. And, mate, sapphire comes in more shades than just blue

@Kerr
Gold is shiny too. But aye, I be liking silver too (though it concerns me that werewolf slaying is one of the pros for you. Don't go looking for them, pal.)

I agree. The only thing that makes them fancy is when they have lots of facets to make them sparkle, but even then, you need a certain type of direct lighting.

I really like AB coatings. I don't think it's something that's done on expensive stones, but it gives a stone that rainbow shimmer effect, that makes you go Ooooo.

@Beta
I just want to check:
What's your standard for engagement and wedding rings (I.e. what's the norm for people to have, in general).

I'm not going looking for them but well, you never know. Although a Dullahan is a kind of headless horseman, an Irish faerie which is hurt by gold unlike the rest of us, um I mean, them who are hurt by cold iron. So it would have some use against monsters.

Anyway I think we can all agree the best thing to do with a diamond is cut a hole in glass to steal a cartoonishly large emerald.

Ha ha, it's a good use.
Although I'm thinking the best thing you could do with a diamond is power the Batcomputer.

@Aarah: Around here? I wouldn't necessarily say it's any different. Traditionally, male engagement and wedding rings are fairly simple. In contrast, female engagement rings often sport a single diamond, with the wedding ring sometimes incorporating it into it's design >_> I mean, it's not terribly uncommon to go with a fairly basic ring for the proposal, since in truth it's more or less a placeholder for the real prize i.e wedding ring

In a similar situation, look at Hat. The ring he proposed with didn't necessarily need to be all gem'd up or fancy. Instead, why not be a lil creative and give it an even greater emotional significance. The One Ring to Wed them all :lol: It's poetic, in a very Tolkein geeky way

Would Hat be Hat the Grey or Hat the white? If so, he may need the following: One Bridge of Kazadúm, one pair of greyrobes/white robes, one epic beard, one flame of arnor, belong to the order of the secret fire, a fellowship to watch you, one Balrog of Morgoth and an epic theme for the battle.

Oh and a sword.

Speaking of rings, beards, stuff like that etc... I will get myself the One ring. I'm pretty much am UESPF's version of gollum so the preciouses belongs to me. Me! Dovah! DOVAH! Joking aside, it would be neat to wear it. Or a dragon necklace. Oddly, no men's necklaces seem to have that. :( I may have to take an extreme option, buy a dragon statue, get some chain and wear that motherlucker around my neck. Yeaaaah, just me walking along with a decent sized dragon statue around my neck. As for beards, I really am tempted to turn my epic beard into a viking/nord inspired one. Alas, the day will come where I will be forced to bravely sacrifice it(again) to the fires of mount doom. Or shave. Mount Doom is so much easier due to how thick it is. That said, if I ever get around to doing Cosplay, yes, i will do a Skyrim one. Or well, do a Dovah the purple,red and white rip off.

As for rings, is it wrong that I would consider having Sauron type armour as rings?

It can get cringy at times, but hey, people like WWE so why can't I like Jim? :dur:

Everything in moderation tho. And knowing how to keep or deduce your own opinion from things, than copy&paste :roll:

Plus, I need my double dose of pessimistic game-talk from Yatzee and Jim on a weekly basis, it's either that or I pick up playing COD with teamspeak always on.. And boy do I not want that

It can't be worse then canned bacon. I'm hopefully making it up but if canned bacon is a thing, whoever invented that is a right cur! You do not put bacon in a can! You don't! No! Dovah refuses to accept that is the case. You do not commit that crime against bacon!

Goshdarn it, America. First you try to nick Sausage Rolls and claim it is your invention after potentially spam flavoured oreos but canned bacon? That is too far. I'll accept that you did Canned roast chicken(Seriouslly, do not google it if you are eating. It is [&@%!] disgusting and makes me want to unleash my inner Mehrunes Dagon on teh world) but canned bacon? That is [&@%!] awful sounding. In fact, anyone that even considers it should be banned. Yes, I take bacon that seriously. #Truebaconisnotcanned

Oh and going back to Jim [&@%!] Sterling, son, for a few seconds. As cringy as some folks may find him, it seems that his constant coverage of the trash that Steam has to offer has given Steam a massive kick up the ass(there are others who did the same) and now they are changing their way to handle asset flips. By charging per entry. Also, Sony, you won't allow mods but the life of the black tiger is allowed? No. Mods are too iffy. A cruddy game that looks like it is at least a decade behind and is duller then an all elcor cast reading the Elcor bible is allowed. What the Sheogorath's hairy beard!? Seriously. Just seriously. Asset flips allowed/lower tier trash allowed but mods? "It may harm the preformance of the console." isn't. Copyright may be the reason as well but asset flips on PS4. I repeat, Asset Flips. PS4. What the Skeleton warriors is going on there?

Back on bacon now. Canned Bacon.... oh god, i think it is a thing over here. Why!? Who would dare inflict such a cruelty upon us!? Whoooo!? T-T

EDIT: It is! It is a thing over here.

Nooooooooo! *weeps in dispair*

I'm not sure how "we use it in the prison where we torture people" is supposed to make America seem better.

Anyway there's countless gross bacon stuff. Just tonnes. Like I eat meat and I think bacon is pretty nice. But that gross fethisization of it that some people have and the weird things that's done with (baconaise) it's just, ugh.

Tho to be fair, having hot bacon vinaigrette with a spinach salad is, like, so well appreciated

Well you're the one bringing up 'torture' and that's a relative term so that's a cheap accusation. I mean we Americans provide free meals and housing to these residents so what's so wrong with that?
