Alternative to Microsoft Word

Post by Aarah »

Can anyone recommend a word processing package that they use, as an alternative to Microsoft Word?

I've looked at Libre Writer and Google Docs: anyone use these?

Any other recommendations?

Google Docs is all you'll ever need.

I use Libre. Tis handy and is very similiar to Word but i really do not trust the spellchecker. Tis worth getting the office package. Tis free and unlike Google Docs, can be used offline.

Aye, I'm thinking Libre looks like more my cup of tea than Google Docs, and it's a bonus that you can use it offline.

Google Docs you can access anywhere, but that's not a requirement for me.

Sorry for late post but LaTeX is a pretty popular one. It takes a bit of getting used to but you have a lot of control over your document.
