Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Physical description:
Gender: Male
Height: Five feet and approximately eleven inches
Weight: 140-150 pounds. It fluctuates.
Build: Wide shoulders but skinny.
Skin: Caucasian, light brown/tan
Eyes: Hazel brown. (Brown is dominant color but both are present)
Hair: Dark brown
I am eccentric and detached but usually friendly. I am asocial, and at times pretty antisocial, preferring solitude and the company of my own thoughts to even that of my few friends.
If I listed things I dislike, I'd have to write a bookseries about it.
I also don't like baring my soul to people I don't know.
TES Information:
Favorite race: All of them. Specifically Altmer, Dunmer, Bretons, and Ayleids.
Favorite class[es]: Acrobat, Assassin, Nightblade. (On ESO I prefer Templar and Nightblade)
Favorite birthsign: The Thief, the Steed, the Tower
Favorite province: Morrowind, Cyrodiil, Summerset Isles, Hammerfell
Favorite faction: The Empire, Great House Hlaalu, the Psijic Order, the Tribunal Temple, the Morag Tong, the Dark Brotherhood, the Court of Madness, the Greymarch, the Volkihar and Aundae vampire clans, the Knights of the Nine, and undoubtedly plenty of other things I can't remember.
Favorite god and religious figure: Auriel, Saints Vivec, Sotha Sil, and Almalexia, Julianos, Jyggalag, Saint Veloth, Magnus
I don't know what else to put here.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Hi everyone, I'm Sophia.
About Me:
I'm 15 years old and I live in Canada, about an hour away from Toronto.
Most people see me as either unfriendly or really shy when they first meet me, but I just don't get the point of small talk.
I'm very non-confrontational.
I'm a proud Christian but I believe that everyone has the right to believe what they want.
I have 4 cats and I love them to pieces.
I love to travel.
Interests:
I love video games, but I'm only allowed to play them on weekends (It's probably for the best). - TES, Fallout, LBP, Crash Team Racing, and Myst are a few favourites.
TV is also amazing. - Firefly and HIMYM are my top 2.
I just started getting into anime.
I'm a fairly crafty person, but not amazing at drawing or anything.
My favourite subjects are History and Science.

Which direction? I grew up near Toronto, so I'm familiar with the area. Welcome to the forums, BTW.Cassandra wrote:I live in Canada, about an hour away from Toronto.

Huh, I think that puts you very close to the hometown of Eltee (a former regular and mod here). My sisters play rep hockey and have the occasional game up in Orangeville.
Start the groove.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
So I don't think I've ever told of any of my high school shenanigans, maybe a spare few in chat >_> but never on record
Hehe.. I have strolled myself down my school's hall squatting in an empty rollable trashcan with a broom to push. Literally, can you imagine someone just peeking out with their arms hunged over, desperately trying to 'paddle home' XD this is what you do for Senior year yes? Try the year before that.
Shout out to my friends CJ and B, I never would of made it home(i.e the classroom) Not so surprisingly, I never got in trouble. I have no shame
Honestly the only other highlight that tops that is when me and my friend Jackson were partners in biology class and were dramatically narrating a frog dissection. Not only did we severely slow down everyone else's progress bc they were laughing so hard, nor did we never give up the act, but we competely excavated the frog and organized/identifyy all removed organs... but we also removed the heart i.e mortal kombat style (Finish him!!).
Which was always baffling to our teachers whenever we paired up, be it for study or a project. Literally 15% small chat 5% actual work 80% goofing off (J-Ooooh nooo! Me-I knooooow! repeat x10) and yet we excelled from such. Cant say the same to anybody around us.. even in stealth talk <_<(Me-Noooo Jackson J-Oh noooooo Me- Noooooooooooo J-Porque.....) Yeah.. we were fools when bored :v I miss those days

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Really? I joked around and revealed little about myself in the last post of mine? Man, that was predictable.
Anyway, time to learn more about one of the regulars and unlike what some claim, the only Dovah on the forums.
I am my own worst critic. I mean, I can really obessess over past mistakes and can criticise myself heavily. It never shows but I do go "Oh my god, how did that happen!?" in my mind and well, it can seldom turn into a right telling off.
I've never had any relationships in the dating/girlfriend department and never had a first kiss. Never went to prom. I'm a school drop out and spend 6 years rebuilding myself. I was a wreck after i left school after year after year of being bullied and they kinda made me switch focus from doing the best I can to trying to fit in. Worst years of my life there and most memories are buried. Probably resurface one day but that is what a hammer is for. I'm joking, of course. But my teen years are filled with more bad memories then good ones.
I am a bit of a loner as a result of the past and well, I kinda have a shell. Online,i'm very comfortable but real life? I'm socially awkward and can be a hard man to like due to my personality. Not being down or anything. Just a realistic view because well, i'm kinda a joker and not really socialable.
I am a huge gamer.
I endeavour to make cakes one day after employment and other things that take a while but I kinda am developing a small passion for cooking. No, you can't call me Chef Dovah. You can refer to me as Ser Sheodovah the Master of creation, slayer of eggs, cutter of veg, lord of all pastabakes and consumer of cheese! Joking aside, I am gearing my weekly diet to more stuff that I have to create from scratch or just prep and it seems to be more healthy. I've neglected my health for the past 6 years and am become a stupid fat dovah. Minus the fat part. I just turned into Gollum for a few seconds.
But yeah, cooking is nice and one day, I'll create my very own pizza. Efficent? No. Waste of cash? Yes. Worth it? Oh hellll yeah!
I recently got back into Wrestling. Watching it, i mean. Think it's been 2 years since i rediscovered it and am more open minded. I kinda dismissed TNA as pure crap but recently taken to watching it on TV. Tis free over here. It's kinda good and Broken Matt Hardy is amusing.
I have a bajillion ideas but never write them down for fanfiction. Don't know if it's just me struggling to get back into writing or just my brain going "No. Just no. Now, be a good dovah." I am a big roleplayer.
I've also just erm.... well, I've kinda been a major shell of my former self for the past 6 months. Kinda just slumped into a pit of anger, despair and frustration that resulted in Grumpy/Miserable Dovah that truely did not care what he said or posted. Fortunately, I kinda "Reset" myself a few weeks back and am quickly changing back into the happy, less silly but we all know him as the forums biggest silly member and somehow, we have tolerated him for a few years, regular.
I kinda like to joke about myself in a negative but light hearted manner. Am finding a balance of silliness to non-silliness ratio.
I can be rather impulsive and when I had my apprenticeship, I fell into the "OMG! I HAZ CASHZ!" trap that many first timers fall into. Been unemployed for 4 years prior to that and regretting that I did not manage my cash well. Annoyingly, part of that attitude is still with me but tis something to be worked on. Chasing the dream, well, i say dream, more like objective and realistic goal, of doing Admin for a living. Am a rather talented bloke and I.T savvy. Originally wanted to train up to be an I.T tech but basically, cash reasons forced me to abandoned that career path and well, I was struggling to get anything. The admin apprenticeship was just luck.
What else? Oh, I am back in the UESPF chat channel. Used to be a massive regular in it before i changed broadband providers and me, kinda didn't try the whole "Give it an evening and see if it eats up data" approach. I assumed it was a major data drainage. It is not. I'm back with a vegan! Wait, Vegance? I mean, Vegenance. Ah, fun times.
I have more books then ones i've read and a large dvd collection. My gaming collection is huge and whilst I do wish i had more room, i am a physical media and book guy. Love being able to just look at my collection. Will never get a kindle as I don't want to worry about battery power whilst reading a book and well, I can be a bit clumsly at times. A few books kinda have been stained by food. :-/ Now, I know I should move on with the times but books are cheap. No data to worry about and having a massive collection is nice. Kinda makes me feel like a scholar at times.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
A daedric prince of dragons recommended I post here, so that's what I'm doing. Right here, right now. Of course, it'll be later when you read this, but whatever.
My username is GamerAim but my real name is Vigil. I only made it GamerAim to be consistent with my other accounts. GamerAim is also a randomly generated name I've used for 3 years (and I can't believe it's been that long). My titles are Lord, High Avatar and Demigod of Dread. As you can tell, I joke sometimes, but also I get so wrapped up in my own mind that I believe a lot of what people say are jokes. I'm also bad at joking.
I'm what I call a "good person" and what others call a "social justice warrior" and what others call a "troll" because I am passionate about my beliefs and refuse to let some random hooligan on the interwebs get away with Heresy. But as stern as I am sometimes, I never hold anything against people who make honest mistakes and try to improve themselves. Still, people are jerks and for that reason, I am very unliked. Also, I have no "social skills" IRL or online so sometimes I say weird things and people think I'm weird or annoying or a troll :(
I have no friends at all, IRL or online, and for the past five years, my mental health has declined to the point where I formed a paramilitary pseudo-religious faction called "The Order of the Mortal Gods Jesmate and the Patron Saints of Virtue" where I serve as the High Avatar and only active member, and proceeded to officially declare martial law and now I get upset when people refuse to follow my entirely just laws that I am unable to enforce upon the populous of Earth. Despite being mostly "sane" I am still at times prone to wild and at times emotionally violent mood swings but it's cool because I'm the High Avatar and I know best :) I also have pretty severe depression and anxiety to the point where I can't get much of anything done with my life.
I like games. I like basically any type of game if it's multiplayer (even...exercise  ), but especially like RPGs (video game and tabletop/online tabletop) and third-person shooters. I played Army of TWO: The Fortieth Day like six times in two days and ever since then, I'm not allowed to obsessively collect achievements. I also watch tons of TV when I can find a good show to watch because it requires no effort and sometimes I need that. I am, however, prone to getting too attached to fictional characters and most of them are villains (Lex Luthor, Handsome Jack <3). Video games and TV make me cry a lot and sometimes I get the voices stuck in my head. I collect tabletop RPGs and have a copy of the Supernatural RPG bc I'm CW trash and oh my god it was like $20 and I had to have it. Also I am proud of my willpower when it comes to money bc I am impulsive as hell. Also proud of my games collection (ask if you want pics). Mainly, I love Morrowind, KOTOR 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Chris Avellone, and tons of other games. I hate Fallout 4 and will debate Skyrim's merit to the death.
Anyway, I'm 18 and I hate it bc I never asked for this. My gender is [*sets self on fire*] and girls are cute but sex is gross. You dirty, sex-loving rapscallions, you. I sometimes think about writing things and stuff but have 0 motivation anymore. I've made a couple of small mods for Morrowind and Fallout but basically I'm a hack. I once started making a game with someone but I thought he canceled it so I disappeared for like 8 months and he thought I was dead :P I have multiple unfinished RPGs that will probably remain unfinished unless someone wants to help with them. They are: Advanced Graveyards & Gargoyles (AG&G), The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TuESTRPG), Fallout d20 (yes, another one, because the others were half-assed attempts and I hold much disdain for them). Also I use "bc" and ">_>" too much probably but whatever.
I'm sure I missed something, since I'm like an onion: I have many layers and make myself cry a lot lol, but over all I'm a cool person who loves to party (play games & chat), make jokes and make cool things. If this sounds like the kind of person you'd like to know, then stew in your envy (or just PM me, whatever). Mmm, I do love me a good envy stew...

I can help you with that. Have you read On Writing - A Memoir of the Craft? Because that's that's almost the exact advice the author gives.Crawldragon wrote:I can help you with that. I think my mom read that to me as a kid, but the advice itself I actually got from Jason Steele of Film Cow fame. (Charlie the Unicorn? No? Okay, I'm getting old.)MetaCthulhu wrote:Have you read On Writing - A Memoir of the Craft? Because that's that's almost the exact advice the author gives.Crawldragon wrote:I can help you with that. IDK what I meant about "write" except like RPGs. I've attempted fanfic and short stories and the like, but I don't think it interests me, probably because the format itself isn't very engaging for me. Anyway, my lack of motivation is caused by my chronic loneliness for the most part. Thanks anyway, though. The advice is still applicable and I will be sure to use it in the futureCrawldragon wrote:I can help you with that. You like social justice, RPGs and our lord and savior Chris Avellone? Cool, it's rare I meet other people who love Chris Avellone, he's underappreciated. If you ever get around to Planescape: Torment (which you should, it's great, a tenner on GOG, it should be able to run on any PC which has come out in the last 15 years) then hit me up there are mods I want to recommend you install. No story mods or anything, just gameplay, combat isn't Torment's strenght. I've played it with and without the mods and the mods I used made it a much more enjoyable experience. Likewise if you play Mask of the Betrayer (the expansion for Neverwinter Night 2, I think you can and should just skip the base game) there are other mods you should install. Mask of the Betrayer has 4 companions (well 5 but 2 are mutually exclusive) and by default you can only have 3 at a time but there's a mod to bump that up to 4 so you can have everyone. There are also mods to make the curse your character has easier to manage but doesn't remove it.GamerAim wrote:A daedric prince of dragons recommended I post here, so that's what I'm doing.
Also, I have no "social skills" IRL or online so sometimes I say weird things and people think I'm weird or annoying or a troll
Despite being mostly "sane" I am still at times prone to wild and at times emotionally violent mood swings but it's cool because I'm the High Avatar and I know bestI also have pretty severe depression and anxiety to the point where I can't get much of anything done with my life.
I like games. I like basically any type of game if it's multiplayer (even...exercise), but especially like RPGs (video game and tabletop/online tabletop) and third-person shooters.
I once started making a game with someone but I thought he canceled it so I disappeared for like 8 months and he thought I was deadI have multiple unfinished RPGs that will probably remain unfinished unless someone wants to help with them. They are: Advanced Graveyards & Gargoyles (AG&G), The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TuESTRPG), Fallout d20 (yes, another one, because the others were half-assed attempts and I hold much disdain for them). If you want a cool RPG you should check out Eclipse Phase. You can get most of the books as PDFs for free on the creator's website [Link here] because it's under creative commons licence. Basically as long you don't sell it and credit the creators, you can share it with whoever you want and change stuff with it, once again as long as you aren't doing it for money. I've been wanting to run it for years its one of my favorite Science Fiction settings.
I'm assuming the being 18 and hating it part. Naturally I can't speak for other people's mental health, things are hard but they can get better. I'm up and down myself but I really like not being in Secondary School anymore. There were people I like from there, stuff I enjoyed doing, friends I still have, but there was also a bunch of toxic [&@%!]. And if it was meant to be the sexuality/gender part let me tell you, it's been 3 years since I was 18 and I'm still a Bi Genderfluid mess. Even if that stuff does change in the future, don't worry about it, it's fine if people end up identifying differently in the future than they do now. Identity is complicated and it's not like any of us are born with manuals.GamerAim wrote:About which part?I used to be like that. I wish people were born with manual overrides hahaha! 18 is lame bc I'm expected to be an adult with responsibilities, but I never got a carefree childhood and my teenage years were wasted so yeah. Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Mostly the being 18 and hating it. You get over that pretty quickly as you get older and find out you can do things you never could before. The frustration over your gender identity is something that I went through, but it got easier when I got older and gained more real-world experience. I also didn't like the topic of sex very much as a teenager, I was very prudish and kind of an [&@%!] about it, but I got over it. Still technically a virgin, but I got over it. I think sexuality and gender just gets screwy when you're that age. I've known people who switched orientations entirely between the ages of eighteen and twenty (as I did)GamerAim wrote:About which part?Crawldragon wrote:I used to be like that. Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
I aim to move out within the next year or so and I will have a jerb by then. I am about to start volunteering soon, getting professional help to see why I cannea get an interview and once I have a full time jerb, I will be looking for a place to rent. I would aim for £300-400 a month. Can live on £400. I'm quite used to living on low amounts of cash. E.g. £200 covers living expenses and bills. £100 for travel etc.. I'm content to have the lowest wage in a full time jerb as well, that is far better then nothing.
I recently became a fully blown foodie and having a place of my own would enable me to go overboard with experiments. That and having a proper oven would be nice.
I've never played the original TES games until recently. Don't like the controls but may just put Arena and Daggerfall on the play when I get a gaming PC list as it's awkard attacking due to the lack of space between keyboard and mouse.
I write fanfiction, well, I used to. A lot 2-3 years ago and recently returned. See below in my sig for shameless advertising.
I could see myself visiting Ireland as my first outside of UK holiday in the next few years. Got relatives over there. I don't count Scotland or Wales as overseas as they are connected to England. I may attempt to visit the USA depending on life and cash in a few years time.
I seem to be getting that "Oh my gosh, it's that old? Man, I feel old." feeling towards gaming. Heck, I seem to be turning into one of those "Oh, back in my days, we didn't have Microstransactions." people. Stop making me sound like an old man, publishers! Stop making me wish for the times without stuff like that!
I like soundtracks and if I can sort out me Ipod. I'll probably get a few on there for work purposes. E.g. Skyrim's soundtrack, Dark Souls. Would mean getting Itunes as Amazon is rather poor when it comes to that.
I may or may not have a mild ambition to collect certain figures of TES and there is a real risk I'll be surronded by Alduin, Paarthnaux, guards, Serana and a lot of TES jewelery. I want to get certain necklaces and pins from certain franchises. The Kings Hand pin, i would be tempted to use as a decoration for my work blazer. I have two. Work blazer is more akin to a sports jacket?(Think it's called that) then a proper one. The interview one is more interview-y. I kinda want to get massive video game posters. Lack the space but when I get a place of me own. I would probably decorate a wall with it.

So I just wanna have a mini-rant/exposition, okay? Not cause, I'm like.. Tired as [&@%!](what is sleep?) but cause I just, idk, feel like sharing [&@%!] about this k? K?! Okay 'Takes a sip of cider' (This probably isn't helping either
)
But anyways, I've mentioned in the past what my general interests and aspirations in a partner are. But you know what probably would just be icing on the cake? If she knew how to cook
Now let me explain. Bare minimum doesn't count, while it would be fun to help teach someone to cook.. I want them to at least be confident enough with assisting me or even offering a different set of skills to the mix. On the other end of the spectrum, I also dont want someone who utterly outclasses me in the kitchen, I at least want to be relevant
The most preferable situation would be if she and I were on par, or our prefered styles or platters differed enough
2nd up? I'm sorry, but some days in the month I just wanna be lazy, truly lazy, like I dont need to give a [&@%!] about the day. Day off from work, lounge in bed all day in pajamas, hardly lift a finger for anything.. Ya, that's a luxury ^_^ but what would make it better? Somebody to join me. I genuinely want someone who can be a lethargic sloth at times, indulge in the introvert lifestyle a bit. I dont just want a partner, I want a lazy day buddy :<
I wanna have a mutual day where we could turn on Netflix or Hulu in our pajamas. Not worry about [&@%!], nap when we want, and maybe one of cooks something small for the two of us so we don't starve.. And if we both feel equally lazy, order take-out or something. Because ultimately.. Most things that are great are better when you have someone to share it with..
'Takes another sip of cider' A fellow can dream, cant he? A fellow can dream.. (Now can I [&@%!] sleep now pls?)

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Been a bit, I'm here again, so here's the update.
I'm still me. Have my degree in English Literature from a university I hated. Work as a substitute teacher and in the past month got a job at Huntington Learning Center as a tutor. I'm also the manager of a driving range, mini golf course, and batting cage center, but that's a job I hope to phase out of sooner rather than later, though it's been a good 7 years.
Obviously into gaming, because obviously. Recently, I've been introduced to the wonderful world of D&D and have fallen madly in love with it. Enough so that in 6 months of playing, I play 2 weekly games and have even started DMing my own campaign, which is set in Morrowind. It's a fantastic gem of a game, and I hate myself for not discovering it earlier in my life.
I tend to be quite verbose, except for when talking about myself. So yeah.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Considering that it's been awhile since I've hung around, I figured that I might as well reintroduce myself.
I'm SM, female, 29, and I currently reside in WA, though I've moved twice in the past two years (first CA, then OR). I left an abusive marriage two and a half years ago, and was recently diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and PCOS. For the past year and a half I've been in a poly triad with my boyfriend and girlfriend; I'm bisexual and polyamorous. I'm going to be going back to school in the fall.
I'm pretty much a geek-of-all-trades. I dabble a little bit in a lot of things. I like Pathfinder and a number of tabletop games, video games, comic book movies/shows, anime/manga, sci-fi/fantasy… and a bunch of things I'm probably forgetting. I love to write and draw, and anything related to the humanities or anthropology intrigue me. Mostly, though anything involving a story; stories fascinate me.
Lately I've been taking to visiting local anime-cons, SCA events, ren faires, and civil war reenactments. I like dressing up in costumes a lot. I also tend to be big on LGBT rights, body positivity, and mental health issues. I enjoy cooking, long drives, hikes, and generally just hanging with my partners gaming or watching TV.
And… let's see… I'm a Gemini, an Earth Dragon, an introvert and specifically an INFJ, and… I think that's it.

Re: Tell Us About Yourself and Your Interests!
Maybe an update is in order.
1st. I don't do Facebook. I am too old to be here too, but thought if Beth. Ever gets a new game...I want to have my friends back. I am retired but not.
I have a growing collection of skulls and don't care if it's creepy. I spend most free time with my art, garden or games.
So maybe being on here for me is to help using my life experience?
Sometimes..I give unsolicited advice. Glad you allow everyone to join and with minimum judgement.
Thanks for reading.
