Arellius Afer III - Azeet's Leafhouse
The Imperial nodded at Niralie's explanation, understanding enough from her answer that Grelok had headed off to do something mission-related. That bare flicker of responsive was all that was returned in response to her remarks, Arellius taking a half-step back when it came to her own question.
"There."
His thumb jerked back in the general direction of his rooms. A half-turn of his body indicated that if she wanted to be brought to one he'd prefer it to exchanging meaningless pleasantries and trying his best to lie about how great the lack of alcohol made things.

Niralie - Leafhouse
Niralie assumed by Arellius' body language that he was going to lead her to the rooms, so she gave a small nod of acknowledgement and moved to follow. "Are your injuries hurting you again?" she asked as they began to make their way there; she'd noticed the agitated look on his face. "I can apply another healing spell if you need it."
Khazi-daro - Near Dawnstar
Khazi suppressed a growl when the old one put away the gold. She'd thought for a moment that he was offering it to her. Her gaze flicked toward the nervous lizard as he came to. She hadn't thought to see him get up after all that.

Arellius Afer III - Azeet's Leafhouse
"I'm fine." His tone was stiff. He never once made eye contact as he lied to her. "Took potion this'mornin' n'm jus'waih'nn on ih t'kick'n." The grin he passed next was filled to the brim with faux-confidence. "I'm fine." His tone was lower that time. It seemed more repeated to himself that time - he wouldn't give in.

"Cert'n". This time there was a greater amount of force in his voice - his tone more energetic, that characteristic gruffness making a return. However, Niralie had not the time to press him on the issue for they had already arrived at the rooms Arellius had booked. Ushering her in with an almost gentlemanly wave of his hand, she might perhaps have been disappointed to note that she'd been brought to a room which contained none of the Imperial's stuff, suggesting that Arellius had chosen to bunk elsewhere.
For a moment he was silent and then he finally remarked: "No idea wha' tha'rrangements're. Guess you'll be'in wi'Eolwyn 'r'Nora":
Bad feelin' I'll'nd up wi'tha cat."

The Jarl's Quarters
Teldril laughed inwardly watching the Jarl was like watching a young boy poking a dead creature with a stick. Adorable, really. He watched with mild curiosity, observing the pair in there observations. He could not help but think of the ring he carried in his pocket. If it was one of the artifacts the orc mentioned, he might be better off passing it to more capable hands... Although... He had gotten this much out of the ruffian, perhaps there was still yet more to be gained. Show him around the museum, give him a little show... Yes.. Teldril thought mischievously, now oblivious to the outside world.

Niralie - Leaf-house
Niralie was not in fact disappointed that the room was not Arellius'. She decided, after he changed the topic, not to pursue the matter of him being healed; he didn't seem bad enough for her to insist upon it, and if he was foolishly refusing out of some sense of pride, it was his own fault, and perhaps he'd learn a lesson from the pain.
She shrugged. "I imagine I will. I'm sure we'll figure that all out tonight." She sat on one of the beds and glanced toward the door as if Ra'zhar was standing there listening. "I can't say I like that Khajiit much either so far," she admitted.

Sees-In-Shade - Pale Wilderness
The Argonian's vibrant green scales reflected the snow as he made his way out of the patch. Or they would have, except virtually every one of them not covered by his tattered brown leather armor were scratched or covered in dirt and snowberry stains. He felt the sutures across his yellow-scaled belly, the flesh around them not so angry red as it had been, but still sensitive to the touch.
"You tell me," Sees-In-Shade muttered at Nammy as he shuffled towards the group. "Should I expect my veinsss to burn asss the sssun risssesss? Or perhapsss my ssscalesss should turn to fur at the will of the moonsss? I do not know."
As Sees-In-Shade tried to take stock of what was still in his possession, he added broodingly, "But it should be no sssurprissse that I feel my belly isss an emptinessss which Sssithisss holdsss together with the tipsss of hisss clawsss."

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
Understone Keep
Grelok almost saw a grown man jump and squeal for joy on the day he performed a wrist-swivel for the jarl, but Fenrald was an old man able to control such an urge; albeit only barely.
After almost a full minute of investigating the piece, he stopped suddenly, and then looked up at Grelok. "Truly, where did you find such a relic? We have records of dwemer prosthetics, certainly, but none know how to mount such a piece onto a person other than to give them an ornate bashing implement on one arm. Yours can be controlled like a true appendage... what sorcery is at work here, my good orc?"
The jarl asked this with a noticeable suspicion and wariness to his voice, tones that Grelok knew well from just about anyone, while Teldril would note the growing misgivings the Jarl seemed to have about the matter..
Azeet's
Azeet smiled and gave a polite wave as the two departed to the chosen room, and then looked to the others still present expectantly.
Ra'zhar was the first to speak, however. "Ra'zhar hopes you understand that he bodes none of you ill will. Far from it, in fact, for we have waited for the lot of you for some time now. It is just that such events carry great magnitude, and this one would like to see them to their conclusion sooner rather than later." he said to those still gathered near the front of the inn, speaking vaguely to avoid any sensitive subjects around the two 'civilians' present.
Talk about the unraveling of reality itself had a tendency to upset common folk, after all.
Niralie and Arellius would be able to hear the sound of Ra'zhar speaking from their location, but could not discern the actual words he spoke.

Eolwyn -Tea House
"No harm done." She replied to Ra'zhar. "I'm sure we all share in your haste."
Well, most of us.
"Thank you for the tea and rooms." The Bosmer said to the proprietor.
She made her way over to the room that Niralie and Arellius were in.

Understone - Grelok
"--Grelok the Collector, Jarl Fenrald." The Orc introduced himself. "I'm afraid my tale, though entertaining, may shed precious little light on the matter. The ruins of...Mmmmizzul...Muzzle-left... ...The Dwemer ruins between Riften and Windhelm. I'd heard of an artifact--one of many I seek--and so I braved the ruins to find it, in the company of some fellow adventurers."
He smiled as he recounted his phony story, though his smile faded as the drama crept in. "As is the case with such places, there were active defenses. We skirmished with the metal monsters, and found ourselves doing quite well, until I was struck in the head by a brutish one. The last thing I recall before losing consciousness was falling into one of those...holes. Doors. Through which the Dwemer spiders and spheres are known to travel. I later awoke elsewhere in the ruin, surrounded by my comrades, and with this where my own hand had once been."
"I can only guess as to how it came to be. Perhaps the machinery saw me as something that needed to be repaired? I know only that I would not recommend attempting to do such--seeing my new accessory, one fellow...an Imperial, I believe...tried to explore those pipes and holes himself. He did not return."
He then addressed the Jarl's suspicion, before pressing his own needs. "I expect that it will not be long before word of my travels reaches your ears. In Windhelm, they already call me 'Grelok Gilded-Hand, Champion of Windhelm'. An unnecessary accolade, to be certain, but...fitting, I suppose."
"Should you have further questions, my Jarl, I would be more than happy to oblige. Though, in truth, I did come to fair Markarth with purpose..." Grelok looked at Teldril expectantly.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
The argonian's inquiring of his own condition brought a small tilt of his head, as if something most foolish had been said "No.. This one asks.. because such an unrelenting force of Aether.. Can leave more than just battered senses". He said, holding up a frail arm as his sleeve drooped back. Magical burns dotted his skin, but it seemed so less severe than when he first awoke
Returning his hand to his lap and turning his sight between the two, he calmly remarked "And no... Saxlheel.. You are still but mortal.. Bound to mortal whims and coils..". It was difficult for the priest to tell if he was joking or not, such language was beyond understanding
Gently laying down his smoking pipe for a moment, he shuffled around as he removed his supply box from his shoulders and placing it just in front of himself, clearly having mind to find something, and unfortunately, not food or coin. However, he did offer words for now "Dawnstar.. Is but a short travel away.." Pointing with his claw off in the direction, not even looking away from his box "And both of you... Must be more than famished and cold..."

Nora tool a respectful half bow to Azeet's offer, but clearly jn mind to follow Eolwyn

Markarth - Understone Keep
Teldril thought for a moment, snapping out of his reverie to regard Grelok intently. The wizard's ruby eyes shone with an almost unnatural hunger for but an instant. Realizing the intensity of his gaze Teldril softened.
"Ah yes, my Jarl Fenrald, Grelok and his band came in search of a mystical artifact that I believe dwells within the museum. I am unsure about the precise nature of it, but I was hoping to show our good explorer here around to see if there were any leads for him.." Teldril said looking at Fenrald with a soft smile.
This one will be hard to trick... The elf thought to himself.

Arellius Afer III - Azeet's Leafhouse
The Imperial offered a nod toward Niralie's agreement. Pausing for a moment as if unsure about the direction to take their rare bout of agreement - his silence ended with the eventual flourishing of a toothy grin.
"On tha'brigh'side its nice t'have small problems t'be 'nnoyed 'bout again. Better the 'stinkin' cat' than another cave troll eh?" He emitted a short chuckle after that - though immediately regretted it, the pain in his ribs flaring up.

Niralie also reflected on how strange it was to be having a normal conversation with the Imperial. She chuckled too at his joke, and though she noticed the pained look on his face she refrained from offering again, sticking to her decision to leave him to his stubbornness for now. "Gods yes, that was an experience I wouldn't care to repeat," she replied. She sipped her tea. "That beast hit me so hard I can't even remember most of what happened after that - aside from the necromancer showing up," she commented, thinking back to that day and shuddering. "Gods, I still wonder how we survived that."

Nammu - Pale Wilderness
The old priest didn't seem to pay much mind to the argonian, not even bothering to put up any effort to make it seem he was listening. He merely dabbled with his box, loosening the locks on a few of the compartments as if searching for something and testing his own memory
The box itself looked worse for wear, taking it's toll over the ages and scrapped back together time and time again. Even to Khazi's eyes, it seemed as though the cracks themselves grew deeper and longer. It seemed so simple, yet it seemed all that he really carried, always beside him, never endangered
In his flourish of thought, he pulled out a small paper fold, likely holding some sort of medicine inside "Take.. It will be ill to your luck if the youngling started to cough blood.." He said with such cold resolve towards Khazi, placing the small piece atop his box while he returned his tired focus elsewhere. There was no barter to be had, it was free to take
After much delay "Ah..." His hand paused before one of the lower drawers, before cracking it briefly, the wood aching under it's unfamiliar use, as he slipped something out from it's partial opening.
"This will do.. For now..." It looked to be some ornate cloth, faded deep with age, wrapped around what looked like four very small vials just as he unveiled them. They looked to be empty, or so pure even water could not dare mimic it's transparency. If only the priest could be ever so alike
Rebundling all but one and slipping them back to where they came, he held but the last and looked to Sees-In-Shade with it in palm, not yet offering what must be a precious thing indeed

The jarl scratched his chin softly. "Ah, yes, yes... A foreign object, defective machinery after centuries of neglect... even when driven by a soul gem such things can certainly happen. Such work is so very complex, but such is the nature of the dwemer. You have my sympathies and my jealousy both."
Fenrald nodded to Teldril. "The museum is closed today, but I believe that in this case such an exception is warranted. Help our friend find what he is looking for, old boy." he agreed. Teldril had a key to the museum already and didn't need to be supplied one. "Please, only the one guest though. The museum is hardly ready to be opened in light of the current construction, after all, and we can't have a small band tromping about; I hope you understand, Mr. 'Gilded-Hand'. Do visit again; I would love to investigate your prosthetic further, but for now I have much to write and theorize upon."
Azeet's
Eolwyn arrived at the room just after Niralie finished her last sentence. She had heard the word necromancer somewhere in there.

Understone Keep - Grelok
"I thank you kindly for your hospitality, Jarl Fenrald." Grelok said with a more formal bow, forgoing his earlier flair. "I would be glad to meet with you again."
He looked to the court wizard with an expectant smile on his face.

Arellius Afer III - Azeet's Leafhouse
Arellius offered a solemn nod. He remembered all too clearly their tangle with the Troll - and then the necromancer. "Yeah." It was more like a grunt. A moment passed before he added. "You'ere lucky - were in'a righ'bad state when I'd gone back t'find ya, no surprise y'can't remember a'thing."
Hearing someone begin to approach the door, he stood away from it.

Understone keep, Jarls Quarters
"Of course, we will tread carefully have no fear, my Jarl. We'd best be underway, no sense dallying now." Teldril said looking at Grelok with a distant, almost bored look.
Should I just be rid of the thing? Something g so powerful is bound to bring me trouble... Although it could also bring great power.. The thoughts echoed in the elf's mind as he turned back to the door after a quick nod. "This way please." He said to Grelok.

Eolwyn - Azeet's
Eolwyn's ears pricked as she neared the bedroom door.
Are they talking about Nandrnil in there?
She knocked three times on the wooden door.
There was a second of pause before she said, "Are you decent?", a cheeky smile upon her face.

Niralie - Azeet's Leafhouse
Niralie's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise at his words; she wouldn't have expected him to have cared at all about what state she was in or helped her at all. As she considered this, she opened her mouth to reply - though not sure what she would have said - and then came the knock at the door.
Her cheeks colored faintly for just a moment as Eolwyn's words reminded her of the state she had found herself and Arellius in the morning after Sanguine's influence. "Come in," she said, and took another sip of her tea.

Nora
Right behind Eolwyn, she didn't pass a thought over her courtesy to knock, after all, there was no need to be rude here. And she was more than content to stand idle, but her cheeky little mention certainly made her wonder. Crossing her arms behind her back, her eyes darted up to the upper corner while she pretended that level of cheek needed not an award of some sort
