I don't think it's a problem. Chris & Luke in Fallout are both doctors who come from Vaults, they have similar backgrounds, skillsets and are both good nice people, but they're different enough that I never felt having both of them in the party was a problem. If you want to make a pirate go ahead.

Persona: Fun fact about the song choice here; "Kuldahar" was written for the 2001-ish Bioware PC game Icewind Dale, a game in the spirit of Baldur's Gate and other such isometric RPG masterpieces.

The composer for this game (and thus the song "Kuldahar") was by none other than our beloved Jeremy Soule, also known as the composer for such games as Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, and of course, the Elder Scrolls series.

TA2: TBH not really sure what the end game for Teldril is at this point, its pretty obvious what the thread is but I cannot find the character motivation to be.. helpful.

Greybox: Is that really a humanist though? Humanism historically means focusing on human agency and material concerns, reasoning and critical thinking rather than the supernatural/divine things. Not human supremacy.

@TSD: If you're interested in joining there's no rush, there's plenty of time to read over all this stuff. If you want you can PM me and I'll help you come up with character ideas/build the character. Ex-Black Sun Security Operative from Venus, Triad Member from Olympus, Indentured Servant gone AWOL from Elysium, somebody who was born in the 20th Century. There's plenty of fun concepts.

Also first person to make a "Blinded me with Science" joke in-character after the RP starts should get some kind of reward.

GB: I was thinking more of a triad researcher that is sent to gather info for illegal purposes but i'll PM you in more detail. Anyone nicks this idea and i'll silently judge you whilst drinking tea.

GB:@Kerr: Yes and no. In seizing the phrase Yirgalum would more be following a long tradition of individuals seizing on historical artefacts as a means to legitimise their own agenda - antithetical as that might be. But at the same time I think his anthronationalism is more than compatible with humanism - which is built on the idea of a radical distinction between human and non-human nature being possible and required.

Worth noting that he's also not a supremacist in his own estimation of himself. That implies that men and machines are commensurable - which is liberal nonsense of the highest order of course.

Seriously though if I ever get over my distaste for the cornerstone of the setting my character will be foul to Yeezy himself. Maybe I'll be a robo-Snoop. Or Jay-Z for that lovely pinch of drama.
