Eolwyn

Eolwyn stifled a giggle at Nora's response. She looked so taken aback, like a child caught stealing a sweetroll, as if she had no idea what the Bosmer was talking about.
Does she think she has been hiding it all this time? Maybe she is ashamed of feeling as such.

"My dear, it's not been hard to spot. The feast? The lake? Numerous other little signs?"
She smiled again.
"And I don't blame you; he does have a certain cheeky charm...for a stubborn thief."

The Bosmer gave a nod.
"Still, we can change the subject if it embarrasses you."

Nora the Fox

She had an exasperated look on her face, as if she had trekked from Hammerfell and back. She tried a few times to respond, to each her hands raised to express her needs, but she could never get out the fist syllable before falling back to silence

After some tribulation, she spoke between friends "I am no't embarrassed over this.. Proposal." Seemed now she had a bit more control over herself, or at least had come to realize what Eolwyn was truly getting at "Nor will I say da't thief.. Doesn't has his yearnings... But I' have noth'ing to hide nor bend to"

'Is this how Eolwyn thought of me? Do I really think he as a companion?' She touched the heart of her chest before turning to look forward "What of ye? Grelok seems to.. Have a fondness for ya.. Do ye' plan to mate with him?" If Eolwyn's questioning was but a bit forward, then Nora's surely sounded like a calvary charge

Eolwyn

"Ha!" Eolwyn let out a surprised laugh.
"The coy fox has got a bit more bold, I see!"

She answered Nora's question honestly, still amused.
"I don't have any plan in place for that, no. It's not the sort of thing I tend to plan out; I just see where things go and then make my mind up when the time is right."

The Bosmer slid her satchel further forward, the walking having made it move out of position.
"And I'm sure Grelok has a fondness for a lot of ladies. He's young, only a boy really. At your age, feelings are a lot more complicated than they are when you get older."

Nora the Fox

She gave a look of a drained surprise and somewhat dulled expression, over both her tease and later comment "Ye soundin' alot like meh old man at the tavern there." Certainly beats any comparison to her mother thoughj

Nora the Fox

Quickly she tried to shake off her expression, even if it was an involuntary response "No no, tis just.. He always use to speak to me like that.. Don't get meh wrong he're, it be.. Endearing.. He kept me off the streets and raised tis on his own.. Grelok can understand that sentiment..." There was a genuine love to her voice, marked by the undertones that she too was raised by an adoptive father

Eolwyn

"Oh, well I'd be glad to sound like him then. He sounds like a good man."
Eolwyn replied warmly.
She was unsure as to whether or not Nora was speaking of a biological father, or a father figure, but she was not going to pry further to find out.

"Almost there now. I wonder if Azeet's still the proprietor there. It might be called something else now."

Niralie - Markarth

Niralie remained quiet during the exchange, having nothing to add to the conversation. She stared in wonder at the architecture around them as they traveled through the city.

Khazi-daro - Near Dawnstar

Khazi crossed her arms. "And what makes you think that this one will die?"

Markarth - Azeet's Leaf-House

Those that wished to go to the tea-house did so. Upon their arrival, they could smell the heavy waft of dozens of tea flavors from outside the stone alcove that was the establishment.

Upon passing through the brass door, the adventurers saw that the building was only occupied by two figures; an elderly argonian woman that Eolwyn recognized as Azeet, and a portly nord man sipping on a cup of freshly brewed tea.

Azeet turned about from organizing her different strains of tea leaves when the group encountered. "My, my, what a group. What brings you to the Leaf-House on this day, valued customers?" she asked. Since it had been quite some time, she didn't recognize Eolwyn.

Understone Keep

Grelok and Teldril arrived at the palace, where they were allowed entry due to Teldril's position of court wizard. They approached the door to the Jarl's study; if either wanted to say anything before entering, now was the time.

Understone Keep - Jarl's Quarters

"Alright, no sudden movements. I don't expect any trouble but I would be a [&@%!] poor court wizard if the Jarl got hurt whilst I was on hand." Teldril said looking at Grelok sternly but fairly, he cared little posturing but it was necessary.

Nammu - Pale

He held a finger to the end of his pipe, releasing a short flash of sparks before returning the now lit smoking apparatus to his lips. The priest took one hearty breath before exhaling a plume of noxious smoke "Child, you have lost much.. In that ruin."

He made small gestures with his clawed hand as he talked, even if his voice lacked in all the enthusiasm"Coin, food, promise of treasure, promise of.. Sanctuary.. All but your freedom.". He took another puff of his pipe "It will be harsh.. Much more than for this one..."

The priest produced a small coin purse from his robe, dangling it from the touch of his claws. Given his peddling nature, the priest was more than likely to find any travels well nurtured, much more than some lonesome thief

Eolwyn - Azeet's Tea House

"Good afternoon." Eolwyn smiled and greeted Azeet, as she approached the Argonian.
"We're interested in staying at your welcoming inn. I remembered how quaint an establishment it was, and how hospitable you were last time I stayed here."

Azeet's Leaf-House

The elderly argonian gave a raspy chuckle. "Quaint, is it now?" she mused, smiling at Eolwyn. "You will forgive me, my dear, if I do not recall your last visit... Memory is oft fleeting when you reach my age. Certainly, there are rooms for the lot of you, and tea to warm the soul. Five septims a head for the beds, and... a first round of tea on the house, should you want it."

The compliments clearly touched the elderly woman's heart. The portly nord at the bar looked a tad miffed, but shrugged it off when Azeet shook her head at him.

Sees-In-Shade - The Pale

A dense patch of thorny snowberry bushes near the adventurers began thrashing wildly. The magical plant quickly sprouted a vibrant green tail with smatterings of crushed snowberry pulp, and even developed a voice.

"Waxuthil … kaoc!"

Sees-In-Shade horned, snowberry-stained head finally emerged from the patch. He had to turn around to find the source of the familiar voices which had drawn him out of his slumber. His bewildered eyes settled on Khazi and Nammu. He narrowed his eyes at the latter, demanding a clear explanation which he knew the priest would never, ever give him.

Understone Keep - Markarth

With a nod of consent Teldril opened the large brass doors to the Karl's chambers with a load and audible groan. "My Jarl, the adventurer you requested." Teldril called into the chamber to give Fenrald a moment to compose himself. He slowly opened the door and held it for Grelok to enter.

Understone Keep - Grelok

"Jarl Fenrald." Grelok said with respect as he entered the room. After adjusting his cloak, he performed a bow with a bit of a flourish, but nothing dainty. Deliberately, he extended his Dwemer hand to the side as he bowed, revealing it to those present.

Nammu -Pale Wilderness

Upon the disturbance of the brush, Nammu easily turned to look, sitting not too far from the argonian and much closer than Khazi. He returned the coin purse beneath his robes "Ahh.. So the last one stirs awake.. Good.. And here this one thought he'll have to call upon Alâk to carry you so..." The old priest commented, a plume of smoke escaping every breath

He paused for a moment, almost ready to continue his casual smoke, returning a passive look to the argonian's bewilderment "Ah.. Pardon.. But I take it that one feels better then? Your veins? Burn do they?". He turned back. Much to Sees-In-Shade's surprise, he could take more than just in riddles "Come now.. Leave those thorns, they are unbecoming of one such as you..." He could also speak in some sense of well being for others

Markarth - Understone Keep

Teldril let out a small whistle at the sight of the arm, an impressive piece of engineering. He did not however, say anything or make any movements until Fenrald got to look over it first. I wonder where he got it from, it looks older than he is. Did he make it? Which one of the Dwemer clans made the device. All these questions and more begged to be asked.

Azeet's Leaf-House

As she spoke to Eolwyn, Azeet suddenly perked up. "Ah, wait, you must be the party that the Imperial mentioned earlier. Forgive me, I should have made the connection. Your rooms have been taken care of by your friend; and the offer for tea still stands, of course." she said, speaking of Arellius.

Understone

Fenrald hardly had time to greet Grelok when his attention was immediately drawn to the dwemer prosthetic. He gave a polite nod and immediately went to the prosthetic to get a closer look, not touching without permission but clearly holding himself back from doing so like a child fearing reprisal from their parent in the middle of a candy store.

"Marvelous, marvelous, simply marvelous!" he spoke as he took a look at all the components. "Why, it's some of the most intricate work I've seen of dwemer make! It's as if the ancient architects fashioned it themselves for you this very year; and look at this! The wrist seems to be on a swivel... does it rotate about?" he asked.

Arellius Afer III - Azeet's Leafhouse

Hearing the sounds of his companion's voices, Arellius poked his head out from one of the rooms. "Good: Yer'ere." His teeth were bared, features clad in unhappiness. Whatever it was, he didn't mention it, however. Instead, he began moving forward towards them. "Where's th'Ork?" he asked next, with some creeping concern in his tone, thus interrupting any conversation Eolwyn might like to have with their host.

I am actually not sure about what rooms Arellius could have booked. If in the next post you could say exactly what the arrangements are - if people have to share, etc. - that would be fantastic, Union.

Sorry!
Counting for himself, Dorian, Dulani, Eolwyn, Grelok, Niralie, Nora, and Ra'zhar (who was now silently sipping at a complimentary tea at the bar), Arellius had rented four rooms with two beds each; the remaining capacity for the quaint inn.

Leaf-House

"We decided we wanted to get settled a bit before having a look around the city," Niralie replied, aware that there were other ears around. "He didn't want to wait, so he went off on his own."

She took a cup of one of the offered teas with a friendly smile and a "thank you" to the innkeeper.

"Which way are the rooms?" she asked (for either Arellius or the innkeeper to answer), eager to get scrying.

Understone Keep - Grelok
"An astute observation, sir!" Grelok replied with a polite smile. He swiveled his hand about 360 degrees to demonstrate. While he felt the urge to ask after the Threads, the Orc knew better than to interrupt this...Interrogation? Yeah, that sounds about right. I'm probably going to be here awhile. He sighed internally.
