I've started to delve more into Solstheim.
I've found an East Empire Pendant in an East Empire strong box in Damphall Mine. I was there looking for a book.
I didn't immediately understand what it was all about as I didn't get any sort of prompt. Having trapsed around Raven Rock talking to the various characters I now get it. It's another collecting mini marathon.
I didn't sell the first one I found, I put it somewhere safe in one of my houses along with all the rest of the crap.
I have now found another one in Raven Rock Mine so the hunt begins in earnest. Only problem is the first one isn't where I placed it.
If I can't find the first one, will this affect the outcome of the quest overall?

Re: East Empire Pendants
No, it won't. The only reward for handing over the pendants to Fethis, is that he will pay you 500 gold for each one.
There is no 'final reward' for finding all of them.
So the only negative of not finding them all will be that you'll miss out on a bit of cash from selling the missing ones.

Re: East Empire Pendants
I believe the quest will remain in your quest log even if you do find them all - it's an open-ended quest that never gets tagged as 'complete'.
Which possibly means that Solstheim has a mysterious NPC death heading its way... :/

^I thought that bug was fixed with a patch, but I was looking at the wrong bug.
Yeah, at least killing him will get rid of it. Then it's just a question of whether murdering an innocent is worth that nice tidy log...

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it as they say!
My quest inventory is already clogging up with minor quests that won't clear so I will probably make a decision to do some housekeeping later.
Apparently there are 33 to find. I'll keep tally and then hit him at the end when I'm done.

Re: East Empire Pendants
Out of interest, who do you trade stuff with in Solstheim? When I say trade what I really mean is sell. I can't say as I've really bought anything, not since starting the game when all I really needed were lockpicks.
I suppose if snuffed this guy, I am reducing my options a little. At the moment I'm still hopping back and forth to Skyrim to trade.
Can you buy a property in Solstheim to store pilferings? Who do you approach and at what point is this option available, if at all?

I don't think there's a purchasable property, but you can get a house (Severin Manor) via some quests.Frodo-Baginses wrote:Can you buy a property in Solstheim to store pilferings? Who do you approach and at what point is this option available, if at all?
The quests you need to do are:
The Final Descent
March of the Dead
and then:
Served Cold
Here is also a list of places on Solstheim that don't respawn and thus contain safe storage.

Yeah, Severin Manor is the only house available on Solstheim. You're meant to get a bed and chest in Tel Mithryn, but it's bugged.
