In case you missed my question.MidbossVyers wrote:http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Stormcloak_Officer_Boots Does the glitch with the Stormcloak Officer boots still occur in the PS4 version of Skyrim? When I equipped a full set, I still got the green aura of the Wind Walker perk. I don't know about the Matching Set perk because I don't have that perk yet.

Was it ever fixed in the PS3 version? In other words, when you equip the Stormcloak Officer armor full set with the Wind Walker perk, do you see a green aura?

Still can't help you. I'm really sorry, I've just never done the Civil War quests. I realize that my last post might have led you to believe otherwise. Sorry.
This right here is why I have so few posts. I legit know nothing about any of the games.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
I don't think the green aura has anything to do with it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the main issue with the boots is that they're classified as light armor but they're only affected by heavy armor perks. So the green aura only shows because the boots are considered light armor. But that doesn't necessarily mean the light armor perks apply to them. Does the perk normally show up in the Active Effects section? That might be your best bet. I don't know if I've ever encountered the bug because I only wore that armor for 'Battle for Solitude'.MidbossVyers wrote:Was it ever fixed in the PS3 version? Well yeah. I mean it's fairly obvious when the Legion / Stormcloak / Companions objectives vanish. But who knows how many of these 'Find Little Jimmy's Magic Banana in Zmnchft' quests have disappeared and I've just not noticed.Cassandra wrote:I play on PS3, and I don't recall that ever happening to me. Though maybe I just haven't been keeping a close enough eye on my misc quests. Things could keep on disappearing, and I'd have no idea.
*Facepalm* That disappeared too.Lord Timster wrote:I suppose I'd better take those supplies up to High Hrothgar before that quest times out or something...
So I went up to High Hrothgar and dropped off the supplies anyway. The game gave me a 'Completed' notification, a follow-on task and incremented the 'Misc Objectives' counter. So apparently the Objectives disappearing is just to do with the Quest Log itself - they are still there and running properly behind the scenes.

It sounds like a Flesh spell. That's the only green aura i can think of. Granted, it's been a while since I've skyrimmed but sounds like a magical effect.
The quest log is just awful for misc quests and i miss the personal approach that Oblivion did. It would have been nice if they kept that aspect.

After helping the child Sybil make it safely to the Dibella temple in Markarth, I was given the opportunity to drink from the font and finish the quest. I had a follower with me, so I decided to command my follower to use the font instead. I was expecting to hear "Nope. Can't do that..." but they actually went through the all motions. Now, I don't know if the follower was actually buffed with Dibella's blessing (inflict more damage to the opposite sex) but I see myself dragging a long train of followers to Markarth in the near future.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
I've had this bug effecting both of my last two characters.Lord Timster wrote:I have noticed that some entries on my 'Miscellaneous Quest' list have disappeared.
Join the Legion / Stormcloaks / Companions. Read Eltrys' Note. Speak to Degaine. All gone. And there were probably others. Speak to Degaine was glitched and Read Eltrys' Note I didn't want to do. So good riddance to those two.
Not sure if this is related to ignoring the quest for an extended amount of time or just continuing to do other quests instead. This also doesn't seem to affect the game itself: Eltrys' Note is still listed as a Quest item and I've since been up to Jorrvaskr and the Companions quest-line started as per usual.
It's made the Miscellaneous Quest List look a lot neater though.
They've both been some of my longest playthroughs (over 1300 hrs on the last one when I noticed it & over 900 hrs on my current one when I've noticed it happening again)
And its not just the Misc quests section. ATM I know its not listing saddias "in my time of need" quest. And two others. Its drooped some from my misc section as well that are precursors to bigger quests.like meeting sam for the drinking contest.
They are still working in the background because I tested sams and the one that leads to the forsworn conspiracy.
The problem with this happening is that if it happens and wr don't have a phenomenal memory of every quest we had in our journals, we may not even remember which were there.
So even if they are still running in the background, the only way we'll find em is if we stumble on them accidentally, or something jogs our memory about having had them on our journal.
This is not good. 8(

tbh there are quite a few of the Misc Quests that I just don't want to do, so having them drop off the Quest Log eventually I am okay with.
Will have to keep a close eye on those on my next playthrough.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
I'm gonna to make a return to Skyrim. I shall do something that I don't usually do in a TES game(as far as i can remember) and do a two handed heavy tank build. No magic(because well, i really want the PC magic mods and i need to stop letting that put me off Skyrim in general) and just pure melee with potions. Likely to be 9:1 for Health and Staminia. Heavy armour with heavy metal. Yeaaah, gonna to be Slaaayeeeeeeeer! or just a heavy tanking build. Usually, Skyrim is very stable for me. I shall install Dawnguard and Hearthfire at a certain point(Namely just for immersion purposes and to avoid annoying vamp attacks in settlements) and Dragonborn as a potential after main quest thing. Or just after the first Alduin encounter.
May roleplay but i've really noticed the differences between PS3rim and Modrim. Modrim is better. Usually, i roleplay a lot but well, i think i'll dial it down for this playthrough. Shall be interesting. Hopefully, being a might glacier will prevent the instant [&@%!] you, you're dead kill cams. Hate them. How am i dead when I have half my life left!? HOW!? *Shouts at TV* HOOOOOOOW! HOOOOOOW! AAAAAAAAAAARGH! Even Dark Souls's [&@%!] you type enemies weren't that cruel.
EDIT: Decided to take part in Enchantment! Mainly because it will give me custom gear and because it will aid with the melee tanking.

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
The build is quite tanky but i'm starting to reach a point(level 35atm) where i'm downing health potions like mead and made a decision. I am now adding Alteration, Restoration and Conjuration to the build. Restoration for healing purposes. Alteration for that small boost until I can get Dragon armour and Conjuration because sometimes, I just need that small distraction. That and the game is throwing Deathlords at me.
Turns out that Drain Vitality is buggy in Forsaken Cave. I somehow have two copies. One is the broken cloned Marked for Death version(silent version that doesn't even have the typical "Your thu'um etc.." and just more of a spell description and the proper one. So i've unfavourited the broken one and got the correct one. Seems to be caused by having a known word of Marked for Death.
I am really wishing that Bethesda allowed us to customise shields. I've got too much gems and can't sell them in bulk. :-/ Would it have been so hard to include the options of adding gems, horns etc.. onto armur and shields or a jewel in the pummel of a sword?
I think I shall start Dawnguard after finding the location of the scroll at the same time as doing the COW questline. This is the part where I hate that it results in archmage status as Kalgar is a warrior with just a few schools of magic. Though, I will have to headcannon that due to his status as Dovahkiin, he is given a bit of a free reign to come and go at his leisure instead of being restricted to the college grounds.
Also killed most of the named dragons. Seem to have just two left. One in Blackreach, one that is near kynesgrove(?). Also, screw the "Yeah, you no soul." bug. I killed that dragon darnit! Just because it respawned doesn't mean i shouldn't get it! Stop making me having to guess the total amount of dovah's i've killed. In fact, why is there no seperate stat for that? WHY!?

Re: Skyrim General Discussion
I only just discovered this issue the other day and now I'm beyond annoyed with it. If it respawned (30 in-game days, right?), that's a LOT of gameplay to not get another dragon soul. Grr. And yes, why isn't there a separate stat for it??The SheoDovah wrote:Also, screw the "Yeah, you no soul." bug. I killed that dragon darnit! Just because it respawned doesn't mean i shouldn't get it! I don't really see it. Like, just the head of a big cat, or the whole body? I can kind of see it if it's just the head.

Lake Honrich (top left) is an ear, Lake Illinalta is the eye, and then Karth River around the Markarth area, along with the Eastern (Western really) perimeter forms the nose area, and the cat's mouth is where the river forks.

Different game, but along the same lines, have you ever noticed that the province of Cyrodiil looks sort of like an acrobat bending over backwards? The feet and hands are down by Leyawiin, the knees are sticking out between Black Marsh and Morrowind, the head is over by Anvil (Kvatch is the ear), and the bulge near Cheydinhal is a waist pack (fanny pack worn in front).Aarah wrote:I put up the skyrim map on my wall recently, and you know what I noticed?

I am really hating the "Yeah, [&@%!] you, [&@%!]!" nature of the killcams. Espcially the one where weapons are dropped and the Dovahkiin is caught by surprise. I mean, ffs. Half health being a high chance of instant death. No way to disable it aside from going back down to apprentice. [&@%!] this killcam risk! I accept being killed via dragon after being eaten. I accept being stabbed. I accept actual deaths that make sense. Not [&@%!] suddenly without weapon cams.
Sorry, just had to get that minor gripe out of my system and well, i will go into more detail in the dislike thread.

Has anyone heard about the Bruma mod extension for Skyrim? It looks dope. Apparently it's a bit larger than Solstheim.
