The last episode of Twin Peaks I watched had two guys in a horse costume sneak up behind a man and shoot him with a tranquilizer gun. Which was less strange than the episodes which involved characters putting on a play where the CSA won the Civil War.

Anyway, I am liking the show. I don't love it as much as some people do, but I'm glad I got round to watching it. I do find the latter half of Season 2 is weaker than what happened before that. Only a few episodes left and then the film. Until May that is, when Season 3 starts.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

The current series of Supernatural (11?).
I got to say, I'm not particularly enjoying this series. It's just very lacklustre. The main story arc is not strong at all, and the episodes are all over the place with content.
I think it's on about episode 7 or something, so I'm hoping it picks up.
Also not liking the depiction of the British branch of the Men of Letters. The characters seem very cliché and stereotypical with their manners and classic London/posh accents.

The Last Kingdom Season 2. It's erm... it's not as strong as Season one in some parts and better in other parts. Pacing, it seems to be in a rush to get the plot down per episode. The past 3 episodes, you could easily have it as a season finale and show more. The latest episode, I feel like i've missed quite a lot despite it being literally the next episode due to the massive timeskip. It skips over Uthred's remaining desire. Erm.... did BBC refuse to give them more episodes or did they run out of cash? Or erm....

What happened? No, seriously, the remaining plot point is skipped over.

Still, a darn good show and seems to now be going into fantasy? Huh? Waah? I.... wha?

I swear, those first 10 minutes of UP are the saddest minutes in any children's movie ever. It gets me every time.

Anyway, I started Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency on Netflix, and it's really good. I'm progressing slowly, which isn't the best for keeping track of what happened in the last episode, but it's okay. I'm enjoying it.

My sister introduced me to Mystery Science Theater 3000, too. Just how good it is depends on the movie, and who's the host (I like Joel best of all), but when it's good, it really is quite funny.

^I was confused for a bit there, because I have seen Dirk Gently, and all the episodes are independent of each other. But I then was suspicious because what I have seen is just called 'Dirk Gently' and not 'DGHDA', so I Googled and discovered a whole different series!

This is good because the one I've seen only had four episodes, which was a big shame because I really liked the series. It also had Stephen Mangan in it, whom I like.
This may be a good reason to start Netflixing again.

No, not yet. I'm watching it with multiple other people, which makes it a little difficult to arrange viewing sessions. I am making my way through, slowly but surely.

Watched the finale of The Last Kingdom Season 2 yesterday and overall, the season isn't as strong as the first one but I don't know if that's because I had standards for it or if it's just the pacing that threw me off a bit. It's still a darn good show but after doing what they did, it didn't give much time left for the third(?) plot for the last few episodes. It's good but can't help but feel that a few more episodes would have fleshed it out.

Oh and watched IMPACT wrestling. Er.... it's decent but I am rather lost with it. There's Decay and erm..... ECIII,Lashley but the haitus from Challenge and coming back to Spike is too long a gap(it wasn't intentional as their previous management suuuuucked) and well, a lot of the big names left. LAX, i have no clue what they are meant to be apart from a NWO clone.

New series of Taskmaster.
I think it's really funny and also a really interesting peek into how different people's brains work when faced with the same daft task.
This series has Mel Giedroyc in it, whom I like, and we will now be denied her and Sue's humourous banter on Bake Off.

*Watching the newest Jimquisition*

Mmm, always a good episode, as always

*Near the end*

Is it just me... Or.. Or is Jim slowly starting to lose it? His mind, I mean? Is he slowly going mad? (Answer: Obviously yes)

YES! Another lover of the number one Boglin Boy's show, Jimquisition! :D I watch it every monday. What? He is the number one Boglin boy on the internet and is probably plotting something Boglin related as we speak.

The er..... new post show bit is pretty much a massive [&@%!] you to elitists and yeah, he is going mad. That or the Hormoculus Cornflake has drugged him. Or both. Or it's Chip's fault that Jim is going mad. Shut up, Chip! :P

So a good friend of mine on FB(Laura, lovely gal, met on Xbox years ago, lots of lols) shared with me a clip of a political drama that was on HBO years ago.. And normally, I would of shied away from it, political drama and all, hell, an American political drama.. But.. by jones.. I already need to buy the season DVDs

For [&@%!] sakes.. I cannot get enough of this. Even the opening scene(same as was shared to me) is just, brilliant. NA, American, Canadian, hell even EU or UK.. The Newsroom, bloody good, even if some of the references will fly over my head.. It's just.. Yes. Just yes

I've gotten to season 3 of Bojack Horseman, and gosh, is it depressing. You laugh, but are left with an emptiness in your soul.

I wanna be... An architect.

BoJack Horseman is one of the best shows I've seen in my whole life. Seriously, one night I decided to watch an episode or two of season 3 and ended up marathoning the whole thing. I've seen few shows that handle the topic of depression and self-destruction so well. Few shows have made me feel so hard as BoJack has.

It's making me really wish I had something of that magnitude to watch right now, and I usually hate watching series because I can't stay still if my entertainment isn't interactive.

That being said, I'm watching Red Vs. Blue. Just finished season 7.

I hate you. I hate you I hate you I hate you.

But there is most definitely something about Bojack. I mean, it was not a show I planned to watch at all (totally didn't seem like my kind of thing). I just happened to be doing homework in the living room when my sister was watching some. And there was something about the characters that just made them connect, and after half-watching two episodes, I already really wanted to see how things worked out for everyone.

@TheSheoDovah ooh is The Last Kingdom any good? I only watched the first episode but it's been a while. I love Vikings so I like the sound of it. As for Impact Wrestling, I haven't watched ever since the Hardy Boyz left.

The Last Kingdom is a superb show though there are some scenes that could put you off it. Tis worth watching and would recommend watching a few trailers. It has been described as BBC's Game of Thrones but it's not. It's it's own thing and works. The action is stunning and the soundtrack is lovely. All the actors do a wonderful job.

Regarding Impact wrestling. It is now OBSELETE and the seven deities have decided that I am not to watch such an obselete mule of a show for it needs to be deleted. That and kinda meeeh. It just don't interest me. Decay and the Broken Brothers were the best aspects. EC3, Lashley, meh. The rest? Meh. Shame as I would watch it otherwise but it just doesn't interest me.

Still, better then 5star wrestling that did that one show and erm.... yeah, it was quite forgetful. Unlike the World of Sport reboot.

Watched Dr Who on Saturday(as always) and i've gotta get this off my chest.
Spoiler:
NO. Just no. Moffat. Take the power of love and cram it. You could have had the guts to kill off Bill and give us 4 episodes of 12 dealing with it(potentially giving in to the darker aspects) and the Monks were interesting but to say "Love works." that is just BS. I mean, seriously? The power of love? That is the most lazy plot device and it seems to be the result of being backed into a corner. Worse, Bill survives despite the Doctor saying that it would kill her. She is only human. If it can knock out the Doctor, i'm certain that the Monk Computer would destroy her. They could have really done it. Kill off a companion for good but nope. It's normal close call bs. It's rather disappointing this episode but it has some great moments. The Doctor being at his most trollish and giving a nightmare fuel laugh. Though, kudos to Bill for shooting him. Think that is the first time i've seen a companion actively attempt to kill him. But yeah, the entire resolution of the 3 parter is meeh and stupid. Also, Missy was wasted. Just wasted. Why was she in the episode? The next episode would have been most use of her time. Granted, that would be a bit of an issue but it is rather wasteful of Missy to well, not be used. Heck, they should have had her directly intervene/interfer/save the doctor from the monks.

Spoiler:
I'd prefer if they didn't kill the black lesbian after like 6 episodes. Although I'm still [&@%!] about Hell Bent bringing back Clara and really just everything about that episode. Because her dying in Face The Raven was really good, like oh yeah, The Doctor does get people to behave really recklessly. Heaven Sent was fantastic and then it ends with oh, the Timelords are back, what will happen next? But no, we're not really dealing with the Timelords, it's 15 minutes of them and then The Doctor breaking time to save Clara. And just Clara. Like your granddaughter Susan, your entire family, none of those are people you ever considered saving. I hate Hell Bent so much.

Personally I got that it was less the power of love and more Bill tapping into a powerful memory which hasn't been altered by the Monks, so her mother. Her mother was dead before the Monks showed up and by spreading the memory of her she's spreading proof that the history the monks are showing off is a lie. Cause they couldn't have been around for as long as humans. He has pulled power of love [&@%!] before, but I didn't feel it was the case here. But that's just me. Although Bill never had to make that deal in the first place, there was a way for The Doctor to restore his sight, regenerate. I mean it's not ideal, obviously, but he had like 2 minutes before the place would explode. Stabbing himself with a piece of glass and then hoping he can regenerate and escape in time is better than being blown up.

As for Missy being in the episode, same reason the Vault has been every episode this season. It's The Doctor not trying to make her good exactly, but trying to make her not evil. Like what Ten was going to do with John Simm before he got shot by his wife. So we get to see more of that dynamic between the two and have Bill finally meet her. Then again The Master is one of my favorite characters so I'm always glad to see more of them, getting Michelle Gomez was one of the best thing Moffat did as showrunner.

I've been really happy with this season so far, it's been really good, I thought Extremis was fantastic (the translation circuits not working is weird, but that might just be cause of the simulation.) But I'm also really happy to see Moffat go. Like he's never been a particularly good showrunner, and this is coming from someone who's favorite Doctor is 11. I think he was better at individual episodes as a non-showrunner cause there was someone to slap his hands away from the keyboard and shout "No!" And Season 4 of Sherlock is so awful it makes you retroactively realize how many huge problems the show had all along. So much of his tenure is people telling us how cool the characters are and that we should be impressed with them, [&@%!] that never goes anywhere, obvious senseless retcons (why did the 11th Doctor think he could regenerate if he can't?) and questions which are never resolved and just lead to more questions like a matryoshka doll. Bring on Chris Chibnall I say (and force Charlie Brooker to take time from Black Mirror and write an episode.)

Spoiler:
Heaven Sent was a brilliant unexpected shock with the death of Clara. Naturally, they had to undo it because erm...... er..... timey... no, erm... plotty wotty reasons? Or erm.... er.... gah, that was a stupid thing to occur. Doing the one thing no-one thought they did worked. Bringing her back to turn into an even bigger mary sue was awful. They had the timelords and i agree, it was a colossal waste of a good plot. The only good thing that occured was the episode afterwards, that could have easily been rubbish but they didn't try to retcon the confession dial and gave us an insight into 12 or 12 when he has suffered an emotional defeat. Heaven Bent was a decent episode but insulting and er...... why the heck did Clara and the character called Me end up with a tardis? The Doctor turned out to be a massive hypocrite as he always refused to bend time and space to undo something(granted that is a bit of a gray area) but the Doctor going out of his way to effectively stage a coup, shooting the lead Timelord just so he can undo Clara's death was just awful. They could have still shown him going off on the deep end and the confession dial would have been enough for him to really lose it and see the darkest moment of the current run's doctor(9,10,11,12).

I would prefer for them to not kill Bill after 7 or 8 episodes as she is a darn good character but they should have left out the "It's gonna to kill ya!" aspect or have the doctor do plot device-y stuff. It is stated, i think, in the episode but still was a weak way to resolve the 3 parter and erm.... yeah, what was the point of the monks again? The Doctor did order Bill not to take the deal to be fair and i think, there was a very low chance of him being able to survive long enough to regenerate because he is a lot more durable. Though, falling from a space ship to earth was just stupid. But i won't go into that or this will be an entire page about 11's run.

I agree, Moffat, when he is not trying to do season long plots or connected episodes is great. When he does try to do season long plots and connected episodes, we get things like the exploding universe and erm....... rebooting the universe to stop it.. huh? Wha... how did..... how does that work!? You can't reboot the universe. Not even via timey wimey things and the tardis exploding..... god, that was...... and River Song being shown as an invincible Mary Sue who can beat up a dalek because erm..... she is a T-800 in diguise? 11 was a superb doctor. Moffat damaged Smith's run because of poor plots, an abundance of dues ex machinas. Ok, more then usual and his obession with River Song being better then everyone to the point where she knows how to control the tardis then retcon it so that she was born on it then ends up on earth and huh? She.... huh? Wha?....

This season has been excellent and quite varied. The Doctor actually getting injured as a result of him sacrificing something for a companion works really well. Shame they didn't make the blindness longer but twas interesting. Nardole is surprisingly likable despite him being played by Matt Lucas(who, i admit, associate with LittleBritian a lot). It's been on point.

Missy gave me the impression she would do something in this episode. But Gozemissy is excellent. Same with the Simmaster. Though, how they intend to explain how the Master survived going out of existence and coming back as Missy, i suspect Moffat will make it rather disappointing.

I think, the whole 11 trying to regenerate when he can't was him acting out of desperation and hoping he was wrong. But I'll admit, i kinda can't remember a lot of 11's stuff because of the poor quality(apart from what made it a lot of poor quality).

12 has only had one god awful episode and i think that was written by Moffat. "Let's kill the moon." How the heck is a moon an egg? How does that even work!? How does that affect the planet? Clara convincing the entire world to vote by turning off their lights/on their lights? Huh? What.... how!? HOW!? HOW DOES THAT WORK!? EXPLAIN! EXPLAIN! EXPLAAAAAAAAAAIN! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! Or I really hate this episode because it is stupid, dumb and makes no sense. Even by Doctor Who standards, that is too far fetched. Seriously, how is the moon an egg? Why did a new egg form immediately afterwards? What creature is it? Why did 12 decide to be an utter dick about it by abandoning everyone? Why? Just why everything about the episode. Now, a better example of Doctor Troll is well, this last episode. Though, they need to never do a close up of Calpadi laughing again.

Oh god, Kill The Moon is dreadful. And you didn't even mention how it has giant single celled organisms or the abortion allegory.

That Zygon two parter was terrible too and had possibly the worst moral I've seen in Doctor Who. "If there's something about you that makes you different and a lot of people in society would reject or harm you over it, you should keep it secret forever. That's right, wanting to be open about who you are is an unreasonable request and if people respond negatively to it it's your own fault." I mean I know why that episode played out how it did, having a bunch of Zygons running around would make Earth less like our Earth and the showrunners don't want that. But the doctor has sided with Aliens over humans before (The 9th Doctor's third episode with the ghosts possessing dead bodies) and the Zygons are clearly in the right and humans clearly in the wrong when it comes to the whole "you have to keep it secret and pretend to be human forever" thing.

Doctor Who is one of my favorite shows but when it's bad, it's bad.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

And Clara decides to go "[&@%!] it. I'm in charge." with the votes. I.... don't.... WHY!? What was the purpose of the somehow getting everyone to vote( via lights if she decides to ignore the [&@%!] result!? WHY!? Why was that the major choice? I..... ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!

Doctor Who can be very bad when it decides to either stop trying or has the worst plot material. It's... how? How does the egg being the moon work? Single Cell? How does that work if it's a spider that is the size of a dog? How does that affect the tides? How does everyone suddenly trust Clara because erm....... how? Just how, why and facepalms can sum up this episode. I forgot about the single cell and abortion allegory. That makes it even worse.

This was erm.... nope. Worst episode of the entire revival run and that is quite the achievement. Seriously, how does a moon be an egg that gives birth to a creature that gives birth to an egg that happens to be the new moon and the same size without any effects on earth!? HOW!? Dr Who. EX-PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNNNNN! *Combusts* Great, now i've gone and spontatuesly combusted.

So, this week's Dr Who Episode was interesting and probably is the best episode in series so far. Shame that they spoilt the bloody twist reveal in the trailers though.

Watched Avatar for the first time.
It was good, and the graphics were excellent.
I never fancied watching it previously. And there has been so much hype about it that I didn't want to watch it with the expectation that it would be absolutely amazing, as that often warps how you judge it.
I didn't fall in love with it, but it was definitely a good film. I'm sure it would have been visually fantastic in 3D, and at the cinema and not on an average sized tv.
