Ancestral Worship - I may have jumped the gun!

Post by Frodo-Baginses »

I think I may have been a bit hasty with this quest.

I have been ticking off the quests in the game guide and I have come to Hillgrund's Tomb. The guy who is supposed to talk to me at the entrance, (Gollidir), is lying dead on the ground nearly naked having been "pantsed". I strongly suspect I am responsible and unknowingly attacked him early on in the game when exploring and discovering places.

Having killed Golldir, does this mean that the quest will no longer trigger? Or can I carry on and complete the quest regardless?

if you are not on PC then you miss 500-1500 (depending on your level) gold and possible follower ,
if on PC then maybe console commands can help to finish quest like: { setstage dunHillgrundsTombQST 100 } but you won't get gold reward
tho console can help with this : { player.additem f 1500 }

I'm on PS4.

I proceeded with the exploration of the Nordic Ruin regardless and the quest actually completes. As you state the optionals can't be achieved because I unwittingly exluded Golldir from the quest by seeing him off when discovering the tomb location.

But I've ticked another one off in this vast game.
