I have done the easy installation and installed all of the unofficial fixes and eye of Argonia. Everything works OK but when I start the game, the intro for Bethesda lags a bunch and if I wait for it to finish it won't do anything. I have tried to install just the game with no fixes or anything but no matter what is doesn't seem to work.

PLEASE help I'm dying to play this game.

When I had this issue I did a web search. If memory serves the answer was turning computer cycles in dosbox to 10000. This will hopefully help you.

10k cycles is a bit low to play properly. Gman, you should post your DOSBox configuration file, but recently I discovered a configuration that worked fine for me (DOSBox v0.74 but never versions and SVN builds seem to work well with that one too). In dosbox.conf, set:

cycles=auto limit 26800

According to the DOSBox wiki, this setting closely emulates a 486 processor.

You can keep everything else in dosbox.conf at default.

BTW, I have always played Daggerfall in DOSBox using the original launcher programme (DAGGER.EXE) and not FALL.EXE Z.CFG, and have never had any particular issues with that. Just emulate the CD as per the instruction with the freeware version.
