I didn't get this.
I got the starter "Innocence Lost", which I completed and then rented a bed for the night. Of course I got the visit in my sleep from Astrid and somehow got teleported from the pub I was kipping in to an old "Abandoned Shack".
Of course from that point on I am now on the Dark Brotherhood Quest line.
Am I correct in assuming that the "Delayed Burial" quest is no longer available?
I'm an OCD 100% completionist and I think I may have cocked up on this one.

Re: Delayed Burial - Dark Brotherhood Quests
According to the wiki, as long as you don't sleep or go to the Sanctuary after meeting Astrid you should still be okay to do Delayed Burial.
Go straight there and complete it as soon as you get out of the shack.

Re: Delayed Burial - Dark Brotherhood Quests
I missed out on completing another quest - ho hum!
Fight or Flight.
I found Liefnarr's corpse in Helm Hollow before I met his missus (Grosta) at Heartwood Mill.
The quest failed because of a bug and I can't do much anout it because I playing on PS4.
The quest remain like a sore in my inventory, so in the end I went and shot her dead in her sleep - that did the trick!
I thought her young son was going to be a problem too so I tried to shoot him too, but the little chap is immune to death, so I left him there. I suppose he'll get taken in by Social Services in Riften at some point and end up in the Orphanage.
It's crazy how easy you can cock this game up.

Re: Delayed Burial - Dark Brotherhood Quests
Obviously the solution to these missed quests is to play the game through a second time with a different character.
It's the only way... You are practically being forced to play the game again...
... or at least that can be your excuse...
