Pfft, typical.(I may be able to 'find' them again, but I may require a small finders fee.)
I use Head and Shoulders, does that mean I'm not worth it?

Great Scott, oh what I would do to have more of that witty humor over here. Preferably on demand at the hospital.. And mandatory that all patients must watch it while in my general vicinity. I use Head and Shoulders too. It makes my hair produce enough static electricity to power a small village, but it's the only greasy hair shampoo that seems to work.Kerr wrote:Pfft, typical.(I may be able to 'find' them again, but I may require a small finders fee.)

You don't use L'oreal, but sure, you're worth it too. To prove it, here's you Purple coins back.
(I actually only didn't put them back cos I thought we'd forgotten to change them after a month. January is going slowly.

Did you have a particularly active mind before sleeping, or doing something mentally stimulating?

Re: General Discussion
I usually always cannot go into deep sleep. Instead I'm just in rest mode while my mind cannot shut up (like usual). Partly blame it on me being on my electronics very soon before I go to sleep.
Also, I cannot drink anything close to my bed time otherwise I will be "up" for bit taking [&@%!]. Even if it's a drop of water.

Re: General Discussion
Insomnia is bad, obviously. But even if you can't sleep, just lying in bed with your eyes closed for half an hour makes you better rested. So at the very least, it is better than nothing.

Re: General Discussion
I have that problem a lot lately. I've been working on a programming project that's been consuming much of my mental CPU of late. I'll start programming at about 10 in the morning and look at the clock to realize 16 hours have passed. Then when I go to bed I can't sleep because my subconscious is still trying to solve some problem that I left unfinished. It's annoying, but I also haven't really been this focused on task for a long time, so I'm just letting it roll.KingFeraligatr wrote:I usually always cannot go into deep sleep. Re: General Discussion
Nope. There is a possible cause for it and really bloody annoying if it is the case, I suspect the Tetley superfruits reducing fatigue and tiredness is causing it.
Ruddy miffed if that is the case. I do read for a bit before sleeping but that has never caused me issues.
Or there's a massive conspiracy within my body to make my plans to go back to a normal routine(i.e. waking up at 9am every weekday apart from fridays) impossible. If so, I may have to beat up my own body.

Are you drinking the tea soon before going to bed?
If you had it more than three hours prior than I'd imagine you'd be ok.

No way. Herbal tea is where it's at, though I'd put black above green regardless.

I can only agree with you half way Mars. Can you guess which half? *spoiler alert* It's not the half that's obviously wrong

Re: General Discussion
Black tea is obviously the best.
Though I guess it kind of depends. If you're having tea with lunch/dinner, then green tea is the way to go. If you're having tea on its own, or with breakfast/snack/afternoon tea, black tea is best.

What herbal teas do you enjoy, Mars?
Also, I have a sugar question for you, Mars.
Apart from the coconut sugar you mentioned, what are some other 'good for you' natural sweeteners?

Re: General Discussion
Concentrated agave syrup is a pretty good sweetener, but it doesn't come in crystalline form. I don't use it myself, but friends swear on it.
I like all sorts of herbal teas, but I'm particularly partial to Cretan herb blends. It's like drinking a hot cup of home.
