I've been projectile vomiting for going on 3 days. The night before last, I was bawling on the floor for an hour with tremendous stomach cramps the likes of which I've never experienced. It was so horrible I seriously thought I was dying. Luckily my husband saved the day with a powerful medicine that did the trick--poor guy, he was freaking out. But we made it. Day 3 has had me on the couch with serious nausea and well, yuckiness.

This shizz happens to me every Christmas, it seems like. It may be why I hate the holiday so much. Every year it's something: car accidents, pneumonia, stomach bugs...ugh grr...

So today I opened my gifts(ya I know, lil late to the party. Sue me why don't ya) but like damn, some good [&@%!] right there :dur:

For starters, got some clothes for work like some long sleeve under armor. So nothing too special. Also of note, a large bag of super sour candy(it's spread half gone & my tongue is numb)

Got some mint related products like chocolates or mouth spray. Also got a bottle of wintergreen oil. Mmmmm. Mmmmmm mmmm mmmm.. 'Lips begin to quiver' Oh ya... Some good [&@%!]

Also got a bottle of Cognac and two shot glasses, so that would be good when I feel like cracking that open.

But by far my favorite gift has to be from my brother's gf Sam and her 2y daughter. It's a homemade coffee cup painted in theme with Portal.. It even has the cake and quote and everything :3 (She had absolutely no idea just how big of a fan I am) If I could figure out how to share photos to the forum directly from my phone, I totally would show yall :3 It's.. It's.. [&@%!] adorable

A jar? Not that exciting Kerr. Unless it's a jar of farts or bee jar. Though that does beg the question where are the bees? :P

Tis a nice map though. It does kinda have that cheap look to it but admittly, i'm just used to standard maps in games such as Skyrim resembling that.

Dovah update time!

What has Dovah been up to of late?

Job hunting. That is all.

So far, 2017 is proving to be a far better run then 2016. Applied for 3 jobs so far and signed up with an agency that I will contact again on wednesday(due to me needing to clean the Dovah cave tomorrow ) and my position is strong. There is a 50-60% chance I will see employment before I reach my 24th year. If not, that's life, baby. It's an XCOM reference.

Just a matter of time before Dovah gets a job then he can focus on many other things. Mainly stuff that I really need. E.g. a new mattress and bed, an electric shaver, a quite of lot of clothes. Literally still have clothes from when I was a mid-teen that still fit me and most are starting to show wear and tear. Mostly just a few trousers that are from that age range. A few shirts from when I was 16-18. What? limited cash, not really being that smart with food results in Dovah believing he grows quite slowly as a result of a mostly crap diet for his adult life.

But 2017 is where I suplex unemployment and become employed! If not, I blame this on Brexit/Trump/Rice/Otherpopularthingtoblamestuffon. :P But yeah, If i'm still jobless this time next year, I will be very frustrated and will seriously have to consider what the [&@%!] happened.

I was bothered by the horrible thoughts I have (which I have deal with about near daily) to insanity inducing levels. Nowadays though, I have no one I can or will talk about them to. It has to be strictly confidential third parties I don't see often or very specific places on the Internet. To me, they're just that bad and nightmarish.

So last night had a dream where I was in Europe with you folks. It took place in segments as dreams often do. The first segment (or whatever) everyone was meeting in a huge cafeteria. It was friggin packed, there's not even that many people in this forum. Anyway I was just figuring who I was gonna sit with. Took my seat then a friend I haven't seen in a while came in and sat next to me.

The next part of the dream I was at my hotel with Mars (who had short hair and didn't look at all like Mars, but in the dream it made sense), a former member of this forum (nyk) and a few other people. There was some weird lamp that nyk broke and as I was helping him fix it I ripped on him and Mars laughed then helped us fix this lamp (the base of it was full of water, freud would have a field day with me I'm sure).

I think the final part of the dream took place at my house. Apparently I was having a house party and same people were there. Aarah was there too even though I have no idea what she looks like. Anyway she was in my tool shed with others playing ping pong or something, don't really remember. That being said, no I don't have a ping pong table.

I got my driver's incense earlier today. Truth be told, I don't feel like I accomplished much and feel like I might have harmed myself in the short term (way more expenses, people using me more, and all that). Getting it also caused me to have an anxiety attack when I got home, which wasn't fun. It's also very weird and a bit scary to be driving the car without anyone else in it. I'm so used to having someone in the passenger seat nagging at me and helping me. It's times like this I wish I had something like a full on AI friend I could have. Would make times like that less weird and the like.

Yeah my first time driving by myself was a strange feeling too. You get used to it after a while, though. Once you're comfortable enough, putting on something to listen to (like the radio, an audiobook, or a podcast) helps. And I definitely know what you mean about the negatives of it, haha. Getting pressured into driving my sisters to hockey games and the like is not fun (but I'd never resent it, since my parents bust their asses driving them around when I'm not there), and insurance costs for teen guys is the highest out of anybody!

But if you get a job or something, it's invaluable to be able to get there on your own time. I just wish electric cars were cheap so that there wouldn't be the downside of harming the environment. :(

I think the ability to be independent on your means of transportation and having the freedom to go wherever, whenever you so choose is largely unappreciated at first.. Along with gas prices >_> I mean hell, I use to lament driving on my own. Now? [&@%!], if I want to leave the house for whatever excuse or pop down to any restaurant as I so choose, I can just do it, no [&@%!] given. If I'm having a bad day or whatever? [&@%!] it! Lo mein from my favorite Cantonese place
:
Also not trying to be a buzz kill Dirty Spaceman.. But electric cars aren't exactly as eco-friendly as your suggesting >_> biofuel? Maybe. Hydro combustion? Probably. Solar? Well that's just obvious. Point being, even if the source of energy or how it's originally generated is beneficial, at which point does one factor in the manufacturing of the actual consumer product and the displacement of previous models?

Food for thought, and buzz killing.. Lots, and lots, of unfortunate buzz killing

@Beta: Sure, but (a) it's better than what we have now at any rate as long as the energy source is clean and (b) it's more feasible in the near future than making people get rid of cars entirely.

All I was trying to say was, I'll feel better driving around in something that was charged with cleanly-generated electricity than something that's burning fossil fuels every second it's in use.

Today I think that I failed a test for the first time. And it was an exam, of all things. Though to be honest, no-one in the class did well. We went in with the motto “If we all fail together, that would be a boat load of friendship.” Good times.

The one good thing that comes out of this is that I made a bet with a friend that I would get less than 70%. So at least I get some money from my failure.

Edit: Got my mark back and somehow managed to pass with a 74%. I legitimately don't know how.

Just tried to play Morrowind on my laptop and got motion sickness from the attempt. The textures and rendering from a 2003-era game blasted at your eyes from a 3840x2160 UHD screen? It's sort of like trying to play the game through a microscope.

I was making eggs benedict this week and bought some Canadian bacon for the job. It was most disappointing.

I got my hair dyed for the first time ever today. It took 5 hours because they had to bleach it twice before putting the purple in, but I think that it was worth it. My hair looks a whole lot cooler now, damaged though it may be.
