If your well known, and ppl like you, they wont mess with you.... that is unless females are involved. Then all bets are off.

I wish I could speak a language besides English and Latin...
Have you ever found a simple toy, and just played with it for hours? My manager at McDonalds gave me all the Batman/Wizard of Oz toys, and I played with those batman toys for 3 hours... Yes, I know it's sad...Mrs T wrote:I can sometimes find myself incredibly fascianted by simple things. For example I've caught myself staring at candles a few times. The moon always gets my attention as well, speaking of which, has anyone noticed what a beautiful full moon there is tonight?
I have found that I always wake up at least 15 minutes before the time my alarm is set to go off...Mrs T wrote:I use no alarm clock but naturally wake up around 6am every day, which can be quite a pain in the weekends....

Anyhoo, more about me:
I have a nephew that looks like Craig Ferguson.
Sometimes I find myself speaking in an Australian accent.
Similar to the last thing: I sometimes find myself walking with a cane.
I once accidently dropped a dart in my foot, and it poked out the other end...
I can only sleep in complete darkness
I once put a tarantula and a hornet in a clear box and watched them fight, while I had a selection of Slipknot playing in the background.
I made my wallet out of camo duct tape
I have only ever really painted one thing.

Generally I do the beating, but that is because by family tradition the father trains the son in his profession...and my particular 'branch' of the family has been soldiers for almost 200 years, so naturally, I am trained a bit like a soldier.WolfGang IceEye wrote:

Also the sword is the last heirloom we have from our first real 'Patriarch', its a sword he used, that has been restored more several times over it's 800 years, and I turned of age for inheritance (yeah we are big on tradition and ancestry, like I know me and my father still sometimes use some norwegian phrases. Even though the family left there long ago.) We have a lot of heirlooms and such, I like it a lot.

I havent been in a fight in years. Ol leroy is a lover, not a fighter.
Generally speaking the people that go around starting fights do that because they are self-conscious and they need to puff their chests out. And typically, they have no idea how to fight. Their fighting strategy consists of haymakers and GAP. Of course that isnt everybody, but im talking about the guy that goes to bars/house parties just to start trouble.

I'm too lazy, sick, and excited about going to San Diego tomorrow to post any quotes so I'll just assume that you have read all of this:
Mrs T: My first instinct I got when I Googled Slash Fiction was to laugh. I am still laughing a little.
I have also had girls flirt with me, but they don't know about my interests. It's just as embarrassing on the other end.
Babies are sometimes scary, yes. But sometimes they are cute. Like kittens... That George Bush is eating....
Vargon: You seem like the most cynical person I've ever met. I'd like to get to know you more. We are of like minds, my friend; I just don't show it here.
You are a grammar stickler and you put two semicolons in a sentence? BLASPHEME!
I am part of an online movement called the Grammar Gestapo whose name is taken from our very own late Grammar Gestapo. Also, I'm the only one officially in the movement, but anyone that says anything close to being a stickler on grammar is considered, by me, to be in the movement, as well. Vargon doesn't count since he committed a very grave error.
uh... My name is Nick (that's all you get to know... unless you read my previous posts....)
My nicknames (mostly online) are: Nick (Nicholas is my full name), Shadowcat (VERY OLD), Spectre, Wraith, Fantom (yes, it is spelled with an F on purpose), Lynx, and Wolf.
um... I don't drink or smoke... I've been in love (true love; trust me, when you're in true love you KNOW it)... I'm still in love... And I have to go make more preparations for San Diego, bye!

Here's something: I have a new avatar. That's right, Cactus for the first time since pretty much ever, has a new avatar (altered versions of the same avatar don't count).
Oh, and I so much desperately want to learn Latin. I've got to get one of those expensive computer programs that teach me. A single book and self-teaching failed miserably.
Edit: New signature as well

new avvie here as well, oh, it matches Sub's
Seven random facts:
My favourite candy is salty liqurice, especially Turkish Pepper.
Every now and then I randomly get goose bumps.
I don't eat crisps.
Me and three other girls are know as The Freak Patrol in our class.
I collect avatars.
At the moment I'm listening to Joseph and the Amazing Technocolour Dreamcoat.
I'm not religious but am still concidering reading the bible.

But, seriously, the one I'm linking to in my sig is just amazing. Great plot, good action and the writers are staying true to the characters while at the same time developing them.
24 parts so far and I'm dying for the next.

..It's quite an undertaking. Frankly, parts of it read like a phone book. Some parts are.... interesting [In Genesis, two girls get their father drunk so they can.... get pregnant....]Mrs T wrote:I'm not religious but am still concidering reading the bible
*note to mods: I'm not trying to start a religious discussion, more like I'm commenting on a book... which is actually exactly what I'm doing*

....who would be the "priest"? If you're doing the whole Norse rigmarole, then who would read from book thing?LarsBM wrote:I enjoy a good leg of meat and usually bring some at parties. I also drink my mead from a horn which I have in my belt and have a shrine to Odin in my house.
Also, my fiance wants to get married asap, so maybe this summer

My fiancée and I have considered getting handfasted. We know several people who can do it, but it'd sort of make 90% of our families not show up, so probably not. Actually, to be totally honest, I care not at all whether mine shows up, but she does, so..

What? Im a male marrying a female... lol. Alright, I didnt know that. Fiancee then.Cactus wrote:You are a female marrying a male, or the other way around? If it's the other way around, the term is fiancée. Fiancé refers to a male.
As for the priest there are several alternatives here who provides a possible wedding ceremony in the old way, however that way wasnt as "dress up and be nice" kind of thing. We're planning to have roasted sheep and mead served at longtables outdoors, as well as a big fire. Also at least me and my girl will wear viking-style clothing.
Mrs T: Mein Kampf is very interesting indeed, I've read it several times.
If the vikings didnt do it, it aint worth doing!

No horned helmets I hopeLarsBM wrote:Also at least me and my girl will wear viking-style clothing.
I believe I've read somewhere that the horned helmets are historically inaccurate....
but I could be wrong

You are very correct. Horned helmets are a product of "romanticism" in modern times as well as christian drawings showning them with horns becaus they wanted them to look like devils. Considering they wrecked their churches and so on.Sublymonal wrote:No horned helmets I hope

Few vikings actually had helmets at all, because they werent cheap to make. Chainmails were more common actually.
Edit: I dont know why my signature has horns, but I think its awesome enough to pass, even with them. Would be way better without though.
If the vikings didnt do it, it aint worth doing!
