Improving armor to superior quality before it's even fine

Post by Brynjolfr »

I improved my ancient Falmer cuirass, crown and boots to fine quality a long time ago and figured I'd do the same with the gauntlets. However, instead of the option to improve to fine I instead got the option to improve them straight to superior. Do they not need to be fine quality first?

Upgrades aren't incremental. If you have the skill to upgrade to a quality higher than fine, it'll go straight to it.
