I love playing Arena, sure, but is there really a good reason why you're not allowed to save your game while you're inside an inn? The stores make sense, to prevent people from save scumming to steal stuff. But an inn is supposed to be your safe haven from all the monsters and criminals wandering the streets. So having to leave a perfectly comfortable inn just to save your game isn't very immersive at all. In fact, it just takes you out of the game. No wonder why they dropped that idea from Daggerfall onwards.
It doesn't help either, that the game forces you into a room when you decide to rest, and then you have to navigate your way back outside just to save. Is there a patch to either stop the game from warping you into a bedroom against your will, or axe the "can't save in inns" rule altogether? Or at least possible to make such a patch?

Re: Can't save in Inns?
Arena is the least modded main game in the series. The overlap between fans of the old style games and those with the ability to mod is quite tiny, and almost entirely dedicated to Daggerfall. This is one of many examples as to why. There is basically nothing Arena did that Daggerfall didn't do better.
