I feel physically sick. I actually can't believe the election is going the way it is.
I legitimately fear for my own future.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say the DNC royally screwed up this election. To echo what Beta said, if they had gone with Bernie Sanders they would have a candidate with basically the same voting record as Clinton and is immensely more popular.

To flip that around though, it looks like Kasich or Rubio would be winning 40+ states if they had won the RNC nomination.

This country is filled with too many racist, closed-minded, prejudiced [&@%!] considering how close this race is right now. One of the candidates is a cancer, but they're a cancer that only could have gotten this far with the support of millions of more cancerous supporters.

Fine, I edited it so that people don't get bent out of shape over the truth.

I agree! Honestly, i'm not even really that mad. I'm more disappointed in my fellow Americans than anything. I just hope I'm wrong about Trump and he turns out to be pretty good.

Honestly, the USA has always been [&@%!] up country, but dammit, does it seem that the bad times aren't even getting started (as I predict). Maybe I'm just overreacting, due to the uproar people are in here, but you can see the symptoms of how [&@%!] up this country is when your "primary" and most popular candidates (which we had no say in the matter if we wanted them or not.....) are basically evil incarnates in their own ways. And that's just the main candidates, I have no idea how bad the other candidates are. I did a write-in partly as joke because voting in this country is a sham and a joke, but also to protest this BS of [&@%!] candidates.

Gosh help this country (and the world for that matter). If only if I could check out other countries.....

Please tell if I broke the rules somehow.....
Spoiler:
Everything I post has tendency to be ignored. People really must hate me or something. -_-

Don't bet on it. The stock market will be deader than disco by tomorrow, and the dollar will be worth nothing over there.
I'm afraid unless we jump ship tonight, we're all stuck here.

Fun Fact: Donald Trump has an IQ of 158. Funnier, that's 20 points fewer that mine.

Yeah, but we're all gonna be so blazed 24/7 that we won't even be able to manage a functioning state anymore.

I hear all of this pretty much every four years. As far as I'm concerned all of this drama is pretty much status quo. :|

Thanks for calling me a racist by the way, guys. I do love hearing about how much you guys hate my country.

Sorry about that.

Listen, I live in rural Minnesota; I probably couldn't name a single person I know who didn't vote for Trump, so I know that at the very least some of the people voting for Trump aren't racists, bigots, xenophobes, fascists, or any other number of bad names that are thrown around. I know that they're probably just discouraged: discouraged that America seems to be falling behind, discouraged because they're not being heard, and discouraged by the fact that they know good people who the government isn't helping. I know that not all Trump supporters are "a basket of deplorables", and that they probably feel that they're out of options, but it's hard for me say that I'm okay with a president who was endorsed by the KKK. I don't hate the people who voted for Trump, I don't even hate Trump himself, but his actions and the actions of some of the people who support him scare me. Fear and anger cause people to lash out, and I'm sorry you had to bear it.

(And, for the record, I didn't vote for either Trump nor Hillary)

[Edit] I'm going to bed now (it's 2 AM), and I'm guessing there may be some "mod green" by the time I get up tomorrow, so I'm just going to say: It's the head of one of three branches of government. There is still the House, there is still the Senate, there is still the Supreme Court, and there is still the Constitution.

The sun comes up and the world still spins :)

Yeah, I live in Connecticut, which generally leans left; in a rural area, which generally leans right. It's lead to some interesting tensions where I live.

Personally I'm less concerned with the Presidency than I am with Congress and the Supreme Court, so I don't put as much stock in presidential elections as others. I didn't end up voting, mostly because I didn't get my paperwork filed in time; basically, real life got in the way. Either way my plan is just to proceed as normal until I'm on stable enough ground to start worrying about the country at large.
