PAX West!

Hey! It is that time of year again! I'll be going to PAX West, and hopefully score some time to ask a few questions of developers and other people. I know I'm cutting it a little close (PAX starts tomorrow), but I'll be going Saturday and Monday as well. I was hoping to crowdsource some questions to ask them, along with questions of my own. Does anyone have any questions they would like answered, specifically about the Elder Scrolls Series in general?

Just some guidelines, these should be questions about the overall series. Also, in the past questions involving unannounced games won't get answered aside from general timelines. This means no questions about when we'll see info on Elder Scrolls 6 or where the game might be set.

There are also going to be posts for ESO and Elder Scrolls Legends, so please post questions on those topics there. Thanks in advance!

Will Creation and by extension, Gamebyro be retired and a completely new engine will be used for future projects?

Was Lord Naarifin being a cultist of Boethiath a test or is it a hint that the Aldmeri Dominion is more then what they seem?

Due to Legends being recieved well, what are the chances of TES getting spin offs again?

Are parts of ESO going to be used as a template for provinces in other TES Games? E.g. Valenwood in ESO being molded on TESVI(As an example)'s Engine to use as a template for it.

Will we see more of Sheogorath in all his mad glory along with Haskill?

If they had unlimited funds and time along with resources, what game would they love to remake and why? Excluding Skyrim due to obvious reasons.

What game would be used as a template for an Elder Scrolls movie directed by Peter Jackson? And why?

Would the other forms of Khajiit ever be seen or would technical reasons prevent the subspecies from appearing?

What are Argonians, exactly? If they lay eggs, why do they have navels? Why do they have breasts? Why does the most famous erotica in The Elder Scrolls involve Argonians and why is it possible to marry one in Skyrim if they are physically incompatible with man and mer?

All-in-all, will a true, official Argonian physiology ever be decided?

Did Sheogorath get mantled by the COC and was the only mortal to do so? If so, was Haskill's interview as part of ESO's revealed lore thrown in to confuse us or does Sheogorath and Jyggalag follow a pattern of Jygglag gets cursed, turns into Sheogorath, turns back to destroy the Shivering Isles then gets manatled by a mortal?

So I just spent some time at lunch talking to a HR person who works with zenimax (completely randomly I might add). Looks like aside from the legends and Eso panels, there isn't really a good panel to ask questions about the series in general, or lore based questions. Those are always the hardest to get answered because no one wants to say anything without approval. I'm gonna ask Gina or Jessica next time I run into them if I can set up an interview or something to ask about the direction of the series, those type of questions. I'm thinking the lore questions that aren't about ESO or legends just won't get an answer.

ZOS were the ones who wrote that Q&A, so this question is essentially asking "did you really mean it tho?" Unlikely to get much of a response.

I did get some answers on what game Peter Jackson should do. But they are personal opinions of the Devs I talked to. I'll post more about that later

That's a massive shame. Would have thought Bethesda would send a lore panel due to TES having excellent lore and people being interested in it.

I want to justify my flat out refusal to accept the Sheogorath is mantled every era via offical confirmation that Zenimax did it just to confuse people and that Sheogorath being mantled was the first time he was mantled. I know's petty but i feel that going back on it via a Q&A instead of alluding to it in the game beyond the potential line of "It's a title handed down to me from my every now and then) aludding to it is not the way to change certain confirmed things.

Oh man, I just realised all of my questions ae unsuitable due to the lack of a Lore panel.

Then i was ninjaed thus invalidating my realisation.

I think the person asking it may be looking for a TES version of Fallout shelter or something that is loosely tied into the next TES game.

I suspect the audience for a lore-only panel is a bit more niche than you're assuming. If they expanded that to "story-telling and quest design" it might be appropriate for a big convention.
