League of Extraordinary [Actor Name Here]

Post by Kerr »

There is a new movie being made. In order to rob a world class casino a ramshackle team of agents must be assembled from across the multiverse. The catch? They need to be different incarnations of the same person, in other words, they all need to be played by the same actor with the different characters being the various roles they've played. So if this was a film being made, age difference between when they played the roles, if it's live action or not or even if the actor is still alive doesn't matter, which actor would you pick to be the lead characters?

I'd go for Nicolas Cage. Firstly because Nicolas Cage but also because of the wide variety of roles he's played. You'd get his Declaration of Independence stealing adventurer from National Treasure, Ghost Rider, prisoner from ConAir, murder batman from Kickass, terrorist from Face Off, bear loving, bee hating, wondering how things got burneding cop from Wicker Man, arms dealer from Lord of War and caveman from The Croods. And probably even more fun roles I'm not thinking of.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Voice actors!

Charles Martinet? You have Mario, Luigi, etc., some random Star Wars characters, and Paarthurnax. Phil LaMarr. Samurai Jack, Static Shock, Kit Fisto, Hermes Conrad, many cool roles.

Okay, screen actors.

Hugo Weaving. Agent Smith, Lord Elrond of Rivendell, V, Megatron, Red Skull. Nathan Fillion in any one of his many roles as Nathan Fillion.

Kurt Russell.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

No, voice actors are fine. If anything they tend to be more prolific than people who are mainly screen actors. Take Laura Bailey and you'll have characters from every game and anime of the last decade she's in that much.

Voice Actors
I feel like this is cheating, but I'm picking "The Man of 1000 Voices" himself Mel Blanc. He was the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Pepé Le Pew, Tweety Bird, Barney Rubble and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Live Action
I'll go with Christopher Lee. He played Count Dooku, Saruman, Count Dracula and many others.

Voice Actors: Tara Strong because I want to see Bubbles and Chloe Price fight. Troy Baker so that he eventually kills his future self (I'm still bitter about him being cast as James in the terrible Silent Hill 2 remake).

Live Action: Gary Oldman. I want to see Norman Stansfield, Jim Gordon, Sirius Black, and Dracula work together.

Christopher Walken, just because of the range of personalities he could pull off. One would be the super serious dad from Catch Me If You Can, one would be the rambling psycho cop from The Ripper, and one would be loopy dancing dude from Weapon of Choice. It would be awesome! The movie would get confusing very quickly, however.

John DiMaggio would be incredible, for the sole fact that we'd get to experience Jake the Dog and Bender pulling off a caper together.

He’s also played a King, a prisoner, and whatever Jack was on Titanic.
Reality is but an illusion, an artificial construct created by those who take the world much too seriously.
