Long ago when I played Escape Velocity: Override on a Mac in a college apartment, I took on the Voinian Dreadnought while flying a UE Fighter. The Dreadnought knocked out my Crescent Ship mercenaries and the mission-specific UE Destroyer squadron joining me, so it was left to little ol' me with some rinky-dinky Phase guns and a cloaking device. I ran past the Dreadnought incessantly, whittling away at its armor a few nibbles at a time while dodging the Voinian's hard-hitting but slow-moving neutron blasters. Eventually I disabled the massive ship and attempted to board. Chance of Capture: 1%. Still, I had to try.

The boarding attempt failed and the Deadnought began its self-destruct. Even a fast little fighter like my ship couldn't outrun the blast radius, but the damage was inconsequential.

In other games I may have finished the story. But EV:O is where I proved I could beat anything thrown my way.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

A good site this thread could use is The Backloggery. You can keep track of all your unplayed, unfinished, beaten, and completed games, along with achievements, regional versions, and many other variables.

In typing out my list for this, it made me release that I've never finished (beaten) any of the games that I have for the xbox 360. Dunno why that is.

There's a lot of retro games that can be played on emulators or for free in your browser nowadays. I expect my list to grow substantially the coming weeks.

Who can see into the hazy past of early console generations, 90s shovelware titles, etc. Not to mention the scores of games 80%'d or 90%'d and then left... Some highlights of games beaten (or almost beaten) then.

First game: Super Mario Bros. (91ish?)
Latest game: Civ V (spaceship victory, my first win) or if that doesn't count, Dead Island
Best game 100% cheevoed: Deus Ex: HR
TES: III, IV, V
Fallout: 1, 2, 3, NV, 4 (Tactics 75%)
Recent Biowares: ME 1, 2, 3 -- DA Origins, 2, Inquisition
Silliest game: Cool Spot
Spookiest game: Silent Hill
Spunkiest RPG: Earthbound
Played six times and still haven't beaten: Icewind Dale II
Afraid to complete: Planescape: Torment

I find that in general games fall off toward the latter third or quarter. Could have to do with developers running up against deadlines or budget constraints, frontloading content to influence flighty reviewers, loss of focus as the story drags on, power creep/ability bloat etc.
It seemed the world was divided into good and bad people. The good ones slept better... while the bad ones seemed to enjoy the waking hours much more. -Woody Allen

That's actually the one DLC from Dishonored I haven't bought! They do look really fun, though. If it counts, I did all the 'difficult' achievement stuff for the base game and Daud DLC on the hardest difficulty.

edit: after 87 hours of play, I finally won a game of FTL.
