Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint
Rin & Mausier
Rin approached Bors without fear, keeping her wits and innocence about her. In a harmless gesture, a small hand reached out and lightly tugged at the fabric at his leg. She still held on to the glass, but waited for the insured attention
Mausier however stood by idle, listening in on what the bartender had to say. He watched as Cornelia walked off for a different route, but it did not follow. He wanted to make sure whatever Rin had planned, it was seen to first. So he stayed behind for a bit longer, but a arms reach from Alistair

Knowing the sewers to be dangerous, Cornelia unsheathed her cane sword, and kept a tight grip on it. She took the path to the right, while being wary of any potential hazards.

Monad walked back over to Holman. "He's trying to get in now." said Monad in reference to Wolf.

Victoria Vario
"Could it have occured later down the line?" Victoria inquired. Nothing on the station side. Either it's magical, which would result in the Inquistion being involved or planted down the line. Would have required every second to be perfect. Assuming that they delayed the train, it would require someone on the inside. Going with that theory, they may be dead if they have served their purpose and if these are the type to close loose ends. Wonder how the others are doing?

Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint
Morgan nodded along, jotting down the information into parchment. "Does your husband hold any files upon the factory?" He asked. "And does he have any rivals?" He felt it was a good a reason as any. Any one on the train could've been targeted or it was a random act of terrorism, or he hoped she thought that. They did seem rather professional especially towards her hopefully.

Roger wondered why Morgan was asking about potential rivals; the man's note-taking making him look like a detective rather than an office clerk.
Still, Roger was intrigued to hear Peggy's response.
"And is there anything else that you think it would be helpful for us to know?" He added after Morgan's inquiries.

Alistair gave a solemn nod to Malcolm, genuinely appreciating the concern. "Cornelia, you know what to do. Try to be discrete."
He then looked to Adelia as he made his way to the door. "If you want to learn more and are serious about helping this city, come with me."

Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint
After informing Holman, Monad noticed Cornelia leaving the bar without telling Wolf anything he had told her. So Moand made his way back over to Wolf wanting to inform him about the Plan B before the Pyrate launched his persuasion attempt. He tapped Wolf on the shoulder to get his attention. "The boss is having a birthday party downstairs. His son Jack's one of the people there." said Monad. "But if you can't get past I have a plan which might get Holman and my sister in." He turned his gaze to look at Adelia who Wolf had just been talking to before he arrived. "Who's she?"

Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint
Adelia looked over to where Monad and Wolf were talking, then down at Rin.
Oh dear, I do wish that I could go with Wolf. It seems much more productive than standing around here. I did say that I'd help her, though, and it would be quite rude to walk away now. I just hope that she actually has a plan...
She stayed silent, not wanting to disrupt whatever it was that the girl was trying to accomplish.

The Taphouse
Bors looked down at Rin with an annoyed expression, asking in a rough voice, "What?"
The Sewers
Though the stonework was certainly slippery, Cornelia was able to navigate through the sewers unimpeded. However, as she drew around a bend, she heard voices and saw the outlines of two men, though they were too far away to see clearly. Their voices echoed in the empty sewers, however, making them relatively easy to hear.
The first, clearly, panicking, "No, please! I'll tell him! I'll tell him where I hid it! Have mercy, man!"
The second, chuckling, "Should've said that when ya had the chance. Nah, the boss don't care about the stuff no more. S'more about makin' a point innit, bruv?"
"We can work this out! I - ahh!" The first voice was only in the beginnings of protesting before he was shoved over the side by the other man, causing a loud splash. There was the sound of incoherent spluttering as he floundered in the filthy water.
The second man leaned over the side, "What's the matter? Your conscience weighin' ya down??" He laughed and walked away from the scene, leaving the other man floundering noisily and shouting for help. Over his noise, Cornelia thought she heard a different noise from the water, but she couldn't place its location or cause.
Whitevale
"My husband kept his important files with him in his briefcase. He didn't like to leave things strewn about, you know." Mrs. Lowe answered, "Rivals? Dearie me, no! Rupert is the kindest, most gentle man you'll ever meet. I cannot think of why someone would have cause to dislike him. He goes to the chapel every day, you know!"
She put a hand to her lips, "No, I don't know what else I could tell you. And gentleman, I do not mean to sounds ungrateful, but I would ask you to leave me, at least for now. I must... I must think of what to tell my son."
Lauxan Train Station
"I... I suppose. You can't really predict accidents, now can you?" the officer laughed, but he was clearly uncomfortable, "Now again, I must ask you to-"
He was interrupted by the appearance of Commissioner Frederick Clay, "Officer, who is this woman?"
"I don't know, sir. " he stuttered, "She was asking me questions about the wreck, sir."
Clay raised an eyebrow, "Ah, the topic on everyone's mind. Well, what did you tell her."
"Only what I could, sir."
"Very good," Clay nodded, turning to Victoria, "Now, miss. Allow me to - what the devil? STOP!"
One of the shabby men who Clay had been interviewing was walking discreetly towards one of the unguarded exits. At Clay's cry, he broke into a run, fleeing down the stairs. Clay and the young officer drew their weapons and began to give chase, though Victoria could see that at their pace, they would likely lose the man.

Roger
"Of course, of course. We have taken up enough of your time." Roger began to walk towards the front door, putting his hat back on as he neared the exit.
"And I apologise for bringing such unfortunate news to your door."
He grasped his cane and smiled at Morgan.
"Coming, Morgan?"

After strongly considering leaving the man to his fate, Cornelia sighed. She sheathed her cane sword, and approached the flailing buffoon. Holding onto her weapon by the handle with one hand, and onto the sheath with the other, she offered the end of the cane. "Stop that. Grab on, then grab a handhold to pull yourself up."

Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint
Morgan nodded. "Yes, apologises Ma'am." He stepped away, following after Roger, putting his notes away, chewing at his lip as he thought away. "What next?" He asked Roger as he stepped up beside him, quiet enough so the intended was the only one to hear it. Pushing his hair up and away he granted a bit of magic to his ears, sharpening them.. in case Mrs Lowe had something to say as they left.

"Shall we visit Lloyden Street, perhaps? Do a little..." Roger hushed his voice, "...snooping around?"
He raised his eyebrows and grinned at Morgan in an almost excited fashion.

Rin raised up the glass with both hands, a clear offering to the man, clearly not distraught by his large figure. "Mmmmf?" She was even trying to stand upon her toes, trying her best to reach his height, her face all the while betrayed not this innocence

"Excited? No, not at all!" Roger looked slightly bemused.
"But having a good nosey round someone's work place can surely reveal all sorts of secrets and tasty little titbits of information, no?"
A sly grin appeared on his face.
"And such pleasant company combines for not a bad afternoon, hmm?"
His right eyelid quivered, which could have been perceived as a twitch or a poor attempt at a wink.

Morgan nodded. "Yes I suppose so. A rather shame it was a terrible start to the day that brought this on." He stated, the corners of his mouth upturned in a slightly amused smile. "However can't help but wonder how the others are getting on with that vicious gang." A brief smirk and shrug. "But that's not our concern right now, let's go nose around."

Roger shrugged.
"Oh, I hardly care how those ruffians are getting on. Well, they aren't all ruffians..."
He opened the Lowe's front door and held it open for Morgan.
"After you." He smiled.

The Taphouse
Bors roughly snatched the glass from Rin's hands, drained it with a single gulp, handed it back to Rin with a grunt, and resumed ignoring her. He gave a slight cough, but the strong drink didn't seem to affect him as it would a lesser man.
The Sewers
The man made no effort to grab Cornelia's proffered cane, the reason for which she soon recognized. He was struggling in the water without his arms, which were presumably died behind his back, thrashing and bobbing just to stay afloat.
Some distance away, a thick shape briefly broke through the surface before quickly disappearing beneath the murky water.
Whitevale
Mrs. Lowe ushered Morgan and Roger out of the house with a grateful but grim expression. As the two men exited into the street, they noticed that it was now completely empty. The children and their father had gone back inside, and the ragged man had left his bench.
Before they had walked a small distance, they heard the sound of clothing sliding against brick. Immediately after, Morgan felt something hard pressed against the back of his head, and a rough but muffled voice asked harshly, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

With a cheeky smile, she grinned at the man who doth ignore her, to a fault "Hehe, an' they say courtesy be dead." She seemed ripe to earn his fancy, that much was certain given her courtesy "Tell me, my good sir, ye wouldn't by chance spare an' ear or two for a lil' lady for a tad'?"
She held the empty glass aside, but not quick to discard in case she needed more

Morgan gritted his teeth, stopping rather quickly. A breath out, using magic to cast his gaze behind him, to get at least a view of what he had against his head if not the would be attacker. "I'm visiting someone, is that not allowed?" He said curtly. A slight shake was administered to his left arm in an attempt to bring his derringer into his hand stealthily. "Or do [&@%!] like you require a tithe simply to step upon your street?"

The sound of a voice made Roger turn around to look at the mystery person.
Re: Cog & Gear: Flashpoint

Monad
"Oh, that's right. I must've forgotten the date." Alistair mused, "Jack Sullivan? Yeah, I know of him. His father entrusted him with much of the operation as they've both grown older. He's... twenty-one, twenty-three? Something like that."
"If you think you can trust your sister with this, then go right ahead." Alistair continued, "It'll look stupid if three separate, uninvited people all walk up within the space of an hour. I'll back off."
Rin
"No. I have no time for silly little girls." Bors answered flatly, "Shouldn't you be in the factories with the other orphans?"
Whitevale
"I merely wish to know what two missing men are doing at the house of a third." the voice growled, "All three of you were on the train which departed from Lauxan Station this morning. A great many Kimmetians died on that train, and not to any "accident" as the Watch would have me believe."
Roger saw that it was the man who had previously been occupying the park bench. From this close, however, Roger could perceive that he was wearing a false wig and beard. His eyes were an intense blue.

Rin
She placed her hand upon her hip, confident but clearly less than fond of the response "No, but I do have business n' a party to attend to." Her voice held not that of a child's, but a well mannered lady
"I had even went through te' trouble of walkin' straight down from Highcastle an' borrowing one of my father's maids" She mildly gestured towards Adelia, hoping she would play well for the posh part
"An' I even paid ye a compliment with a drink.." A small frown dressed her face "So is a lent ear too much te' ask?"
