Re: Update 10 Hype Train
I think putting the Dark Brotherhood DLC in the Gold Coast was a bad move. Bravil, home of the Night Mother's crypt, is already visible in the game, just not accessible, and setting the DB DLC in southern Cyrodiil would have been a great excuse to not only allow access to Bravil, but to Leyawiin, where there is no doubt Elsweyr (Dominion) and Black Marsh (Pact) tensions, which with the DB DLC, would allow for some awesome political assassinations and whatnot.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
Legoless, you missed the most important thing:
Character slots in the crown store!!!!!!11111
I've been waiting for this since about a week after release. I'm really hoping that a single char slot won't cost more than the entire game (5000 crowns+), but I'm bracing myself for a horrifically high cost.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
I think a lot of people were expecting Gold Coast for Thieves Guild and Blackwood for DB. No harm done though, Old Anvil will probably be just as ramshackle as Third Era Bravil.Rezalon wrote:I think putting the Dark Brotherhood DLC in the Gold Coast was a bad move. Re: Update 10 Hype Train
Yup... I'm okay with 1k-1.5k crowns each, but considering each of those assistants is 5k crowns (even though they do less than the free NPCs already available), I really wouldn't be surprised. Annoyed, but not surprised. Hopefully the price isn't ridiculous.Deandra wrote: I'm really hoping that a single char slot won't cost more than the entire game (5000 crowns+), but I'm bracing myself for a horrifically high cost.
Also, I'm concerned about the trait changes. Hopefully they just stick with the bad traits (like Well-fitted) and don't touch the ones that are actually decent. If they do, I hope they add a way to change the traits on our gear without having to craft an entirely new set, otherwise, it'll suck having to craft new gear for every character. Especially with those that will be max level after vet ranks are removed.
It's going to be hilarious/terrible if Well-Fitted actually becomes useful. Considering how much Almandine we all probably destroyed after April Fools was over...

Also, anyone entered ES Legends Beta?? I think there isn't a section in the forums for that game yet.
Edit: Oh yes, there is.

Actually having inventory space again will be a blessing. Maybe I'll even level my mule to celebrate.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
Poison making sounds pretty major. I wonder how many charges a single pot has.
Also, was that a hint at Akaviri enemies??

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
I just skimmed the launch details, and the DB Collector's Edition will come with a Wolf mount? We could make a zoo out of all the different mounts we have... Not that I'm complaining about it. Gotta see what that wolf looks like first.
"(You can even wear hats with costumes, now!)"
That sounds promising, though. Does that mean we will be able to combine, say, the pot from completing Gold, and some other costume? I could be an Elven/Nord hero with a pot on my head? Glorious.
But I want to see those patch notes... That's the important part.
Edit:
The patch notes are out.
There are some things I like, but then there are other things I'm not so fond of. But this is the first PTS patch, so things will change a bit.
Edit #2:
Like this...
"Conjured Ward: Reduced the duration of this ability and the Hardened Ward morph to 6 seconds from 20 seconds."
[&@%!] you.
Well, okay. One of the worst things that stands out at this moment is the changes they've made to enchanting.
For some peculiar reason that I can't understand, they've decided to remove all harvestable potency runes from the game. All of them. Instead of having the runes as they are now, there will just be orange ones (like the aspect runes) labeled as "Rune" that you can then harvest for both an essence rune and an aspect rune... But no potency rune. Potency runes will instead be sold by NPC vendors, and as overpriced as anything else they sell. As an example: the v16 potency runes will sell for around 2.5k each, meaning that it will cost 25k in potency runes alone to make a set of 10 v16/CP 160 gear.
Now, it's only the first day of PTS, so we don't really have an accurate picture of the drop rates yet, but people are also reporting that the green-gold aspect runes are more rare than they are currently. The same seems to be the case with essence runes so far, with people getting more Oko, Makko, and Deni than others.
I don't know about anybody else here, but I like to farm for the mats I use in crafting. I'll only buy if I'm in a hurry or as a last resort. So when I read that they're removing harvestable potency runes, I just can't comprehend why they'd make such a change. They are deliberately removing a part of the game and forcing us to buy the potency runes (unless we rely purely on hirelings, writs, or the glyphs we find in loot). I just... I don't get it.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
The hype is back, they re-added harvestable Potency Runes.
I've been poking around in the PTS, really liking it so far. The Blade of Woe should be called the Blade of Wow, tbh.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
They nerfed my tank again with the unnecessary change to Champion block cost reduction. -_- It might be time to become a cookie cutter DD.

Will I need to get the DB DLC to make poisons, or will that be a global change?

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
I think it's just what lego liked the most. Craft Bags are definetly only for ESO+ members, but the Gold Coast will be buyable as the Dark Brotherhood DLC, and IC District Caputre is on in the entire IC (if you have that DLC). I'm not sure about Sanctum Ophidia, but I assume it's accessible for everyone.dragonfett wrote:So is everything in bold only for ESO+ members?legoless wrote:I think I'm in love.

Re: Update 10 Hype Train
Correct, the bolding was just for emphasis. Scaled Sanctum Ophidia is for everyone since it's part of Craglorn, which is considered "vanilla".
