Help setting up Morrowind
I've been wanting to play morrowind again recently with mods but not rebirth because I am saving that for when I can finally get a better PC which I have no clue when that's gonna be.I am using the version from GOG.
But I ran into a problem whenever I start the game and click new game it immediately crashed back to the the desktop.
Here is what I did
I installed the game to C:Games\Morrowind
I then installed the cleaned versions of the official plugins
then I installed the MGSO
I then preceded to upgrade the version of MCP to 2.3
I also upgrade MPP to 1.6.6
in then reapplied the EXE optimizer and 4 GB Patch after updated MCP yet I still get the crash.
What do I have to do to fix this crashes so I can continue setting my game up getting it ready for play?

well i don't have MGSO nor MCP nor MPP nor 4GB patch ( i have 8 GB) and i got no crashes i a year. its maibe your "cleaned" official plugins or combination of MGSO with MCP (or instaled it after MGSO) and 4GB patch.

Re: Help setting up Morrowind
I haven't been able to get MGSO to work in almost 2 years.
CTD at launch.
I'm not sure why it suddenly stopped working but I suspect a driver (AMD) update.
So I had to get by without it.
Didn't turn out too bad.
I run the GOTY version from a boxed edition I bought years ago (includes the Construction Set disc.
)
I did a fresh install of the game and then Wrye Mash Stand Alone.
MGE XE next but if I leave the included MWSE on, it will CTD at launch and using it with a stand alone version of MWSE won't work either.
(I only used it, MWSE, for the Keyring mod and that's an easy mod to do without.)
Then it's mlox, followed by MCP and then the Morrowind Patch using the Morrowind Patch 1.6.5 (BTB Edit).esm.
After that it's a matter of what your tastes are.
My Load Order. And I make full use of the "Manage Texture Replacers" function in Wrye Mash.
A few images from my current playthrough.
Good luck!
CTD at launch.

Re: Help setting up Fallout 3
Disable MWSE stopped the crashing,I wondering why that happens and if there is a way to fix that because there are some mods I would like to use that require it, but if my game isn't gonna work with it enabled then its not that big of a loss.Heck I am not even sure if I could use with the FPS optimizer which I have use in order to set my FOV because MGE XE runs way to slow on my pc with shaders and even with them and all the other bells and wistles off except for the resolution changes and Fov when I go to start a new game you can hear the sounds but it takes like a minute for the video to show which is quite annoying. That is not a problem I have FPS Optimizer,I really hope that once day I can finally build a better PC but for now I have to make do.
Quick question I am stuck between using Mckom's heads or sticking with the ones supplied with MGSO,but could you recommend any good hair mods to go with Mckom's heads because the one mod I found had no good hairs for Breton Males, and Selus Gravius looked god awful with curly orange hair which doesn't fit him at all.I looking for something law friendly not like something out of salon magazine.

I've never used MacKoms heads so I don't have any advice for you about it.
I use Westly's Master Head Pack X and Westlys Pluginless Head and Hair Replacer Complete and I get a result I like.

Re: Help setting up Morrowind
I am almost done setting up Morrowind I just few things left to do and I'll be ready.
Here is my mod list not yet by load order
I decided against Mackom's heads.
The only thing I got to do is activate everything in Wrye Mash, sort with mlox and enjoy.I will have to keep any out to see if any mods to need to get reinstalled in case any thing got over written by a late mod.
I also fixed most of bugs found in the MGSO 3.0 by following the guide and using the patch by John Moonsugar.
One question can anyone give me link to mod High Rez Armors Native styles V2 because that link on dropbox for that and the fixes made by greatness7 seem to be broken.

Re: Help setting up Morrowind
I can get to the dropbox page and occasionally the main file will start downloading then it stall out during the download and stop making any progress what so ever and I even get the fixes to download at all.
Edit
I was able to get those two mods by saving the files to my dropbox account and then downloading the app.
I did everything else and did a test launch and everything seems to be in order, the only thing I have to fix is a couple of misaligned doors and hatches on ships caused by RR better ships. So I posted about it on the mod page on the nexus,so now I just gotta wait.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Help setting up Morrowind
I have one issue I need help with, when you enter Arrille's Tradehouse the door leading back outside has been flipped 90 degree's I found that the mod responsible is Broadsheets and Notice Boards. Is there a way to fix this because I really like the mod so far and I would really hate to axe it from my load order but I also can't have this door being flipped.

Load up all your plugs in CS and manually hotfix it.
I'm the feared Marisa Kirisame, known as Marisa Kurwa, bane of the hldm .cz, where my mere name is a curse, user of the exploits and a stalking crossbowwoman, hidden in the shadows, striking from the back.
