I know this has been asked a lot but very difficult to find something with the search engine so I'll ask again:
For a Warrior Build in Skyrim what is the recommended proportion between Health and Stamina (assuming Magika is ignored)? My type of guy is basically a heavy armor / two handed axe / archery fighter with good stats in Smithing / Enchanting / Sneaking / Lockpicking / Speech. Stamina is a little behind Health but not too far and I am at level 44.

I would be interested to know the right answer. I always level the stat that is my weak point in a hard fight at that stage of my characters levelling/ perks allocation.

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
I tend to stop adding Stamina at 250 or so. That seems to be nominal enough for most enemies without resorting to potions. After that I throw everything into Health until it gets ridiculous.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
Part of it is just preference and playstyle
I myself use an Argonion with a strong focus on survivability. Note I said survivability and not defense >_> I always wore light armor due to carry weight and being an Argonain also played a large part in the early game. If and when I was in danger, that Histskin racial power would really even out the playing field.
Granted my guy had a large spread of skills, but in terms of standard combat I tended to use a long sword paired with Restoration n Whirlwind Sprint for closing the distance, while for stealth I just used a bow which was overkill enough. The use of Restoration was very vital for my playstyle, so much so even my stats portrayed that. With a heavier focus on Magicka further supplemented with enchants, with a roughly even split for Health and Stamina. Stamina was also very important for me simply bc I could repeatedly dish out alot of damage before tiring out. And bc of Restoration, I could effectively restore my health and stamina and thus continue to place pressure on my enemies.
It was all a good synergy. The only real counter I had to deal with was when I had to fight mages using heavy frost damage(which stunted my stamina) or even heavy shock damage(which harmed my magicka, and by extention my health/stamina).
I should mention I made large use of enchantments with my set up, especially by the end game. Aside from a few special gear, of my own custom gear I favoured Magicka regen, followed by increase magicka, and lastly stamina regen/increase for my boots. You can kind of see a running theme around Magicka n Restoration, huh
Since I had a good synergy going for me, it was never really an issue on stat ratio. Still, in my personal opinion: If you already have a decent amount of health, defense, n survivability and are not putting any points to magicka, you might as well begin focusing on stamina then. Having a decent reserve for mobility and power attacks never hurts, and the chance for regen enchants is hard to pass up. No to mention health potions aren't hard to come by

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
I'm a pure tank, so I always go with health until I'm like level 30, and even then I only put points into stamina sparingly

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
As a canon of TES games, warrior class must have high HP and STR scores, as well as a good AC. Fatigue/Stamina, however, has played different roles in different games in the series. Nevertheless, I suggest to give Health at least 3:1 preference. The more, the better, as long as you have at least around 200 Stamina.
Spells suck in Skyrim, by the way. They have so little creativity in their use, reduced to mere direct/a bit less direct combat things, not the creative things we have in TES III and glitchy exploit stuff in TES II.

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
Ever since I started playing Skyrim in 2011, I never spent points in Magicka or Stamina at level up. I always increase Health. I found having a large health pool allows me to survive tough fights and with max armor class (567 with four armor pieces, if I remember well) and max magic resistance, it makes you close to invincible.
100 Stamina is enough to satisfy all my needs during a fight as it gives me about 4 power attacks. That's a lot when you're dual wielding. If you need stamina, vegetable soups will satisfy all your needs (except maybe if you need to sprint). But I don't use the soups, I find them a little overpowered.
As for Magicka, lots of gear can increase your Magicka and reduce spell cost, making you a viable mage whithout "wasting" level-up points in Magicka.
I guess the idea is that Health is the only resource you cannot afford to bring to 0. Of course, after a while it gets boring and I end up looking for challenging ways of playing the game, mostly unarmored playstyles, block users or weird damage sources.
Bottom line is you can't go wrong with choosing Health.

Re: Warrior Character Build: Health vs Stamina
Depends on what you want. Do you want a DPS focused build? or a pure tank that laughs off most hits? Health is vital for warriors and if you are going for a tank, i would do 90% health, 10% stamina with two handed. Sure, you'll run out of steam quickly but who needs steam when you can kill people quickly?
It comes down to what you want. For dual wielding, i would do staminia as the main stat and health every 9 levels with the idea being that my fights are quick, fast and are done before i can get hit. For a tank of pure melee destruction, health the main stat. Stamina every 9 or 8 levels. It just comes down to you.
Or enchant everything and become so overpowered that the game itself throws up.
