For me it's Serana, and I think the voice actress had a lot to do with it. She made the character feel like a real person, which gave every quest you did with her an extra layer of realism. The Dawnguard DLC just wouldn't be the same without her.

Nazeem, he is Skyrim's Jar Jar Binks.

I hate to say it, but I prefer Mr. Binks.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Vasha. That splendid defiler of daughters, and all-round Magnificent [&@%!]. I always spare him. It's not the first time he's been bagged and dragged, you know.
Not asked, but my least liked is easily and by wide margin Balgruuf.

You only dislike him cause you cant handle his swag. He be ballin'! Vasha is boss. I always spare him too. Wish there was a way to meet him after that quest.

My reasons for disliking Balgruuf will probably be it's own thread at some point, but Vasha unites where Balgruuf divides!daedricprincess wrote:You only dislike him cause you cant handle his swag. At the very least, reference to (if not actual appearance of) Vasha is on my list of wanted features in TES6, if there is going to be one.

Serana...you know why but it gave me a slight feeling that Skyrim became Twilight for a bit there lol

Urag gro-Shub is by far my favorite. I love how he watches over his library.
After him Serana, and Irileth probably.

I somewhat recently learned of Herebane Sorenshield.
He's the only Imperial soldier with a full helmet, unique gear (Herebane's Courage & Herebane's Fortress), and is the only one that uses Restoration magic. I find the mystery around him intriguing too.

Runil and Fasendil are great Elves.....Runil's journal and Fasendil's story are worth mentioning. I personally dont like the Nords that much....just a few exceptions. The khajiit caravans are great...sometimes I just follow them on the road, pretending to be a hired bodyguard...."ghosts in the storm" book..

Favorite character?
Well, he's handsome and charming. The ladies love him.
He's someone you love to have on your side in a fight and a man to be feared as an enemy. The biggest badass in Skyrim, whether casting magic, wielding a sword or launching deadly arrows with impeccable accuracy. Even dragons are afraid of him.
He gives alms to the poor, and never hurts the innocent. Always ready to lend a helping hand to others.
Who is this paragon of a character? Why, it's ME of course! There isn't a better character in all of Skyrim.

One of my favorite characters is Master Neloth (from Morrowind and Dragonborn DLC). I love when you return from reading the Black Book at Nchardak, inform him that Hermaeus Mora wants secrets from the Skaal, and he says, "What secrets could they have worth keeping from old Mora? Sounds like a bargain to me. Hermaeus Mora learns some fascinating new ways to skin a horker and you become the second most powerful Dragonborn that ever lived."

Re: Who's your favorite character in Skyrim?
A toss up between Serana and Mjoll the Lioness. I like to RP that the love of a good woman gets my dragonborn away from a darker path in life, that a lot of favors for Daedra puts them on, and Mjoll is that good woman. She's my favorite character to marry. And I tend to see Serana as the Dragonborn's best friend.
Both of them havr way more personality than other followers.

Does the Dovahkiin count? Because if so then that's my fave.
Also, Onmund. I once told my husband jokingly that if Skyrim were a real place, that I'd marry Onmund and birth him 10 mixed Redguard/Nord babies...

Re: Who's your favorite character in Skyrim?
I've always had a soft spot for M'Aiq the Liar. I love him from his sarcastic humor right down to his fourth-wall trolls. His smart remarks have actually helped me overcome my prejudices regarding video games in general, which believe it or not made me love Skyrim even more after chatting to him. I don't think any other video game character will capture me in quite the same way M'aiq has. I've joked about installing or building a mod that would allow me to marry him, but I might actually do it someday.

I agree, there is something about wandering around Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim or Online and stumbling upon M'aiq. A smile always breaks over my face.Crawldragon wrote:I've always had a soft spot for M'Aiq the Liar. I love him from his sarcastic humor right down to his fourth-wall trolls. If, for some reason, Bethy ever redoes Arena and Daggerfall, they should totally slide M'aiq into those games. He's practically the icon of the Elder Scrolls series.
Oh for the love of little green tomatoes...

Re: Who's your favorite character in Skyrim?
Oh god if they set M'aiq loose in Arena or Daggerfall, think of the field day he'd have.
"The art of swordplay is dying. Why swing it only one way? M'aiq prefers finesse over brute force."
"M'aiq knows spells. He knows many spells. Knows more spells than kids these days."
"Why should everyone know a healing spell? Is everyone rushing into danger? Why not learn to nurse your wounds the old-fashioned way?"
"M'aiq has a son. His son is named M'aiq. M'aiq is concerned because M'aiq has more fur than M'aiq. M'aiq is slightly confused now..."
"So large the Iliac Bay is. Why not walk to Hammerfell? Why only stay in one country when Tamriel is so beautiful?"
(These are of course jokes that only make sense if you've played Daggerfall)

Babette. Heck, given her voice, I would assume even Fura Bloodmouth was planned to be a loli vamp, but then they realized that she may be killed when playing on the Dawnguard side. Also... Wait, just Skyrim only, right? Not ES-verse, in general. Never mind, then.

Re: Who's your favorite character in Skyrim?
My favorite character is Vingalmo. He's a sneaky politician with initiative, always ready to advance his station by betraying and conniving. I also like how he knows that magic is more powerful than brute force alone, and he talks to the less-subtle Orthjolf.
