One chance
If you were given one chance to change the game of Skyrim what would that be?!
You can ask for only one thing but it will have no boundaries. Your main objective should be to change the game as you like.

Re: One chance
I don't really like how Skyrim simplified things compared to previous Elder Scrolls games. Like specific levelling, weapons/armour breaking down, spellmaking, more complex enchanting, specific pieces of armour etc.
If I could change one thing? Add everything good that was from previous Elder Scrolls games.

Well, it should be a pc game, not a console one.

Can you give an example of 'outside the box'? Like, what one thing would you like to change?

Re: One chance
For example, I would like if the game could be played inside a matrix-like place where we could jack ourselves into the game and play as our avatars. How cool does that sound?

Re: One chance
Too much boundaries. Bad idea - 2/10.
I would rather have a proper civil war, arena, etc. = every feature that didn't make it to the final game finished and enabled.

Re: One chance
While I do love the direction the DLC took, I was expecting it to go into a battle-against-the-Thalmor direction and was a little disappointed when that ended up not being the case. So a campaign involving a journey to the Imperial City or the heart of the Aldmeri Dominion would be neat. Something in the vein of the Journey to Elsewyr mod, which was a lovely small campaign.

In other words, try to avoid you wish being consumed by such an improvement that can be brought using a mod. I would certainly select something which could not be.

At the beginning in Helgen: if you go with Ralof you get out of Helgen as fast as you can (you skip the tutorial). Choose Hadvar, you hang around long enough to help get civilians out or whatnot (you play out a tutorial).
Most first-timers go with Hadvar to get their bearings. When you create new characters or restart, you'll choose Ralof to get straight into the world.

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: One chance
I would have just been happy with them not rushing the 11/11/11 release date and having time to put everything in they wanted to originally. All the faction quest lines had great potential but were sadly so stripped down.

Re: One chance
Norva is completely right, they could have released it on 12/12/12 and made a game without comparison.
And the LORD Todd Howard made the bones,
And then He took some of the best features
of other games and then He breath onto it,
the breath of A.I. was what made the game
as high as the Sky and the performance balance
of a Rim. And so He nameth the game. He said,
"Now that I created her with all My heart,
I shall name thee upon thy qualities.
Thou hast the qualities of the Sky and a Rim.
So I shall name thee Skyrim."

Did they not admit at some stage that the 11/11 release date was a push, though? It certainly seems to be entrenched in common opinion that the fixed date was a detriment to Skyrim's development.

Re: One chance
AKB has a point though, releasing early didn't really hurt sales, and it gave them millions of bug testers. If they'd delayed the release longer, it might of actually slowed development overall, and hurt the games visual appeal.

It was a detriment. I feel like, from now on, they shouldn't announce these games until they have enough content for a game footage trailer, like they did the with most recent Fallout. Zenimax is holding its own reins. Bethesda should never feel pressured to rush anything. It's not like they have some grinning, demonic baboon like EA on their back cracking a whip. They could take ten years per game for all I care. I've got time.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Re: One chance
Zenimax is surely one of the weirder video game publishers out there. It swallows up other studios, and then lets them continue operating. It buys up video game IP, for the sole reason that they really wanted to make a game in that series. It's one of the largest publishers out there, and yet its privately owned. No wonder Valve and Bethesda love each other so much, they're living the same dream.

Re: One chance
Wait leads to disappointment, disappointment leads to patience, patience leads to excitement, excitement leads to happiness, happiness leads to satisfaction. This is what will happen in case of a very good and long awaited game, or perhaps this:
“Wait leads to disappointment, disappointment leads to frustration, frustration leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering, suffering leads to the Dark Side of the Force.” —Jedi Master Shaak Ti.
Here is something to wait about, Star Wars VIII will be released in 2017.

Re: One chance
Wait only leads to disappointment if you're 14 and this is your first go-around. I've been following this series for 15+ years, and I was already a grown man when I got into it, so to me it's not the end of the world when there's a five year wait between games. In this series, it's normal and expected. Nothing remarkable about it. I'd be more disappointed if they started outsourcing the material to other studios and churning one a year out like the COD or Assassin's Creed games.

Re: One chance
I don't really care when the next game will come out Being impatient for creative works to be made is kind of insane to me. And I hate the notion of work being made on a factory belt, it's why I don't play games like COD, and I stopped playing AC for this reason. We already basically know the next ES game cannot come out any earlier than fourth quarter 2017 anyway. Any earlier than that and I'd be amazed. And after that, well, they aren't exactly hurting for cash, they have time to play around with their internal projects before releasing anything new.

I would say to remove all of the unnecessary mountains because the game has more frickin' mountains than actual settlements, or at least introduce a proper mountain climbing skill other than using them as path blockers.
