I started playing Skyrim again after a pause, and updated Nexus Mod Manager when it prompted me to. That was a mistake, since it updated to the infamous .60 version, which forced me to reinstall all my mods. The thing crashed when nearly done with the reinstall process, and I had to finish the process by hand. All seemed to be well when I started the game. But then, when playing I noticed that the Civil War Overhaul MCM menu didn't appear as it should have done.
So I deleted and reinstalled the mod, as I had done with Deadly Dragons, which had made that mod work again. No such luck with CWO, since the MCM menu still won't appear. Checking the CWO Nexus page I was mortified to see it was repeatedly said that the mod could only be installed to a new game. My question is now: Is there any hope the mod will work or some trick to get the MCM menu back? Or should I just go and start a new character if I want to experience the mod's content? I had really anticipated playing through the Civil War with this mod, since I'm playing a rerun of one of my favourite characters. It would suck tremendously if I had to restart her yet once again, since she's at level 31 already.
Is the Civil War Overhaul screwed in my game?

Im sorry to say this, but yeah your old save game is screwed. That mod one of the most buggy and glitched mods ive ever seen. You are going to have to start a new game if you really want to play it.
Watch. Wonder. Build. Tear down.
