Re: Tiber Septim's race.
And while both are titles Talos bore, what made him Talos was the Stormcrown, although the Greybeards implied that the Last Dragonborn would inherit it, at least for the duration of her campaign against Alduin. Whether the "Stormcrown" is a fancy way of marking the Dragonborn or has some deeper metaphysical implication isn't spelled out, but that's how myths of legendary heroes tend to go.MetaCthulhu wrote:SarthesArai wrote:Dragonborn and Ysmir are titles for more than one person. What I assume (I obviously don't know for sure) SarthesArai means is that Ysmir and Dragonborn are more of titles (like Count or Duke) or nicknames ( like Reggie or "boss") than names. For example, there are three different people with the "name" of Ysmir, and many, many people with the moniker Dragonborn including, but not limited to: The PC in Skyrim, Tiber Septim, Miraak, St. Alessia, Uriel Septim, Reman Cyrodiil, "Marty" (sue me), and maybe the Nerevarine (yeah, I went thereProphetDragon wrote:Debatable.)
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Re: Tiber Septim's race.
Clearly 'Stormcrown' stands for 'the One who has storm bearing clouds over his head'. Talos was said to have thunder clouds surrounding him. Either it was a result of the Storm Call Shout being seen or a way of marking his magnificence. Like we say Alexander the Great.

I don't really see how non-statements contribute to the discussion at hand.

Re: Tiber Septim's race.
How about we just call him 'general Talos' for the one under King Culecain and 'Emperor Tiber' as the emperor.
