While I cannot deny that there would be some awesome things to such a game, I think the idea should be killed before conception. Frankly, it would ruin most of what we have come to love in the TES games. I think that Bethesda could make an MMO based in the Elder Scrolls world, but it should not be labeled a TES game.

I think making an MMO might be a little too constraining, and for the people who like to roleplay...

If the vikings didnt do it, it aint worth doing!
Well, make a RP, RPPVP, PVP and Normal server like most games.Dogmantra wrote:I think making an MMO might be a little too constraining, and for the people who like to roleplay...

I'm not sure what the question is. Should the next E.S. game be an MMO? Or should Bethesda make a E.S. MMO along with a single player one? If it's the latter, then I don't see why not as long as they make the single player game as good as it should be and they don't split their attention or resources making two mediocre games.
So understand
Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years
Face up...make your stand
And realize you're living in the golden years

Maybe they could make a game that had qualities of an mmo, while retaining the qualities of a regular rpg.
For instance, maybe you could choose to play the game by yourself, or with others.
Or you could possibly be playing by yourself in the dungeons, and then in the cities, and in the wilderness you could be with others
Yet another option: you could do what is being done in Fable 2, and be able to invite friends in.
Well that's my two cents.
