Good evening from Detroit. My name is Zero. I have a small collection of RPGs that I have had for sometime, but have never beaten all the way through on a single character. I am terribly prone to restarting you see. However, I decided that I am going to define my style and complete these games. Thus I am treating them all as a first time play through. Oblivion is the first of these games. So, here we are at Square one. This thread will serve as my personal notes, and I hope you will join me along the way and have fun with it. I'll try to keep it interesting. Let's see what happens...

Kick it off with any beginner/pre-game advice you have for me.

Some questions first:

• 1. Will you be using any mods besides (beyond?) the 3 Unofficial Patches?
  2. Are you going to install all the DLCs?
  3. Have you settled on a race and class yet?
  4. Will you be using any of the game's exploits?

My advice, mod the game.
You've played it before, give it a fresh look.
At minimum I'd say put in a few that don't change the gameplay but do improves the game's look.

It's hard to give "beginner's advice" to somebody that's played the game before.
You have an established play style.
Play it for the fun and not to define yourself.
