I probably won't stream, just because I never have before. If I change my mind I'll let you know, though!

..also if I can stream via Xbox One, which I'm pretty sure I can...just need to figure out how.

if you don't have the map marker in the pip boy to fast travel to then you need to go through the metro to downtown d.c. just follow the direction of the Washington monument... The mall is next to it.

If you have a Twitch account, it's as simple as saying Xbox Broadcast.

It's 6 hours, 21 minutes until the bombs drop. (For me... in Pacific Time)

What kind of characters are you guys going to make? (They have the full character building programs already out there)

In general going to go with a high Perception and Agility character. Melee viability for stealth depends, but it looks like I won't be doing it at all.
Laser weapons are my favorite weapons, but I'm going to have to resort to guns if energy weapons can't be silenced without the Science! perk in upper-Intelligence. Then again, the bobble heads might make it possible to not miss out on stuff like melee damage and Energy mods.

Sorry, scrib, I've failed you. I don't have a Kinect. :(

But I did figure out how to stream! So I'll stream me playing, I guess. twitch.tv/stevechamblin

You guys want voice or no voice (me talking or not talking)?

Whichever's more fun for you! If you're like me and get really sucked-in, then you might want to go no voice (that way there isn't big gaps of no talking); on the same note, it's always fun to hear somebody's who's really excited and eager for the game. :D

Do you like doing voice?

This be my first time streaming, so I don't know! I'll try with voice and see how goes. I'll even take requests from viewers on how to proceed with some things.

Patch is patching, almost done. Super close. --Mildly inconvenienced when my local retailer kinda fumbled my preorder. I was supposed to get the edition with the strategy guide and map and such, but I was apparently only slated for the base game. We're going to work it out. But I have the game, anyway, so that's the important part.

Goodbye, world. Hello, not-quite Boston.

there was a midnight launch at my store but i didn't go, i'm more of a morning person. drinking my coffee now, then i'm gonna stroll down and pick it up, and stock up on food and drink for a solid week, at the end of which, as i'm planning on Survival difficulty with str1/end1/agi1, i might be able to kill something.

happy days y'all

Does anyone know where the ammo for the minigun is? I've searched all over that stupid museum and can't find it.

i don't remember having to pick up any. did you step through to the rooftop once you got the minigun? it might be there somewhere.
the first enemy is on a rooftop across the street, i just started blasting, then dropped down to street level, and had enough ammo to finish the mission.

No. :( I checked everywhere and did drop down from the rooftop. I think the cowboy dude killed the first enemy and I used a machete to finish the rest. That wasn't easy.

Anyone playing on console have any issues with bugs/fps? I saw a video discussing how the console versions have issues that aren't as prevalent on PC and since I'm looking to get the game in a few weeks, I want to get some feedback before I bye. My PC is probably not good enough to run it without some hiccups, but if the Xbox version is too buggy, I'd rather get it on PC and work towards an upgrade.

From what I've seen/heard, Xbox< PS4 = PC. Some PC players haven't been able to launch the game, but some PS4 players have experienced memory leaks or FPS problems when aiming.

My pc is handling it fine. Preston was carrying around an invisible gun for a while, but that's the only glitch I've seen so far.

Played for 2.5 hours tonight without a single bug. Xbox One.

Dohva, you know you can change weapons during that part, right? I had just enough ammo to kill everyone/thing and try and kill the cowboy guy when we got back inside.

I've heard that the X1 version is the worst version but i suspect by worst, people just mean it's a bit choppy at times. That or it's Fallout 3 on the PS3 levels of worst. If so, then what the hell, Bethesda!? (Basically, an unpatched Fallout 3 on the PS3 is almost unplayable). That said, from the reviews i've read, there seems to be no lag or crash issues and i suspect that both versions differ for people. I mean, my copy of New Vegas behaves for me whilst others may have a lagtastic time playing it. Oh and it takes an hour to install Fallout 4 on the PS4 according to some reports. If so, then wow, that is er.... that is just surprising.

I haven't experienced anything like this. It's been buttery smooth and the graphics are great. And that was while streaming on Twitch.

I see no reason why one platform should be a lagfest when both consoles are more or less the same apart from a few minor differences. That said, this is Bethesda, king of bugs, lord of lags so i wouldn't be surprised if it does have issues on all 3 platforms. :-/
