I had been running the following mod configuration, in the following order, with no problems:
Unofficial Skyrim Patch
Unofficial Dawnguard Patch
Unofficial Dragonborn Patch
Unofficial Hearthfire Patch
Hi Res Texture Pack 1-3
Unofficial Hi Res Texture Pack Patch
FloraRespawnFix
SkyUI
SkyCompleteLegendary
FNISspells
Combat Evolved
Duel - Combat Realism
Brevi_MoonlightTalesEssentials
Better Transmute
Then I decided to try Locational Damage. I installed it using Nexus Mod Manager, and ran LOOT to sort the mods. LOOT placed it right above Combat Evolved.
However, a few minutes into the game, some strange things started happening. First, the favorites menu grouping feature of SkyUI completely stopped working. The group boxes were blanked, even though I had already assigned 6 groups, and the menu shortcuts disappeared. ("F" to assign groups, for example.) The next thing that happened was that the Soul Trap enchantment on the weapon in my left hand stopped working. It clearly had charge left, I had plenty of empty soul gems, and I had already struck an enemy several times with it, but when they died, nothing happened.
I quicksaved and quickloaded the game, and now the favorites menu was working properly AND the Soul Trap from before suddenly kicked in. In other words, as soon as I loaded the game, it trapped the enemy's soul. However, I knew it was only a matter of time before it stopped working again.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? I will uninstall Locational Damage in the meantime.

One thing I never understood about Alchemy is how you're supposed to chew diamonds, unless you're Kanye West.

If it's working now, what makes you sure it'll break again? There are a lot of mod issues that get cleared up if you save and load.

Re: Locational Damage Incompatibility with SkyUI
Sorry, let me clarify. When I saved and reloaded, it seemed to work for a few minutes, and then it broke again. I tried this a few times and the same thing kept happening. The only way to address the problem for good was to uninstall Locational Damage. Otherwise I'd have to keep saving and reloading every 1-2 minutes.Deandra wrote:If it's working now, what makes you sure it'll break again? If anyone knows of a better way, I would greatly appreciate it.

Explain exactly the state of your save before loading the mod.
The mod sites don't seem to be of any immediate help.

Re: Locational Damage Incompatibility with SkyUI
At this point I can't remember because I've installed about 80 other mods since then. It doesn't matter though, because I'm not going to use Locational Damage right now. I looked over the mod thread on the Nexus forums and apparently there are known conflicts with SkyUI, but the mod has not been updated since 2012.Theificka wrote:Explain exactly the state of your save before loading the mod.
