As diplomatically as she could, Guo gave a lukewarm smile to Ellie as they got in. "I am glad Mr. Howard didn't shoot you. Or the rest of us. That is an...interesting ability you have. I don't suppose you could make me forget all of this ever happened?" She gave a light, nervous laugh.

"Not with my powers, no," Ellie said, smiling back at Guo. "But there are other, more natural ways we could do that."

Guo's smile waned a little, but she was curious as to what Ellie was getting at. "Oh? Do tell."

Nobody has said anything about going anywhere else so I've assumed you don't want to go buy cola or weapons or anything like that .
The mages left Wildflower Heights and traveled to the Royal Quarter. After around half an hour they ended up outside Doctor Joshua Weiss's home. There was a green car in the driveway of the rather nice two story townhouse Weiss called home.

Guo got out of the car, and stretched briefly before composing herself, and making sure she had everything.

"It's been so long since I've ridden in a car...much preferable to walking." She walked up to the green car and looked into it--mostly, just to make sure that Weiss and the cube weren't sitting right there.

"Hmm. In case things don't go well in there, I should give Dr. Weiss a quick fix. --Would you all kindly ensure to lock the car doors before we head inside? Safety first."

Popping and propping up the hood of what was presumably the doctor's car, Guo would work to disconnect or loosen whatever was required to disable the car--taking care not to damage the parts. If things went smoothly, or if this wasn't even the doctor's car, she didn't want to destroy it.

Tobias removed himself from the car he had been a passenger in and looked up at the fancy townhouse.
"Hmm. Looks like Weiss doesn't have empty pockets." He said with disgust.

He then tried the handles of the green car to see if any of the doors were unlocked.

After a bit of an angry journey due to other drivers deciding to cut her off, Elisa managed to get her passangers there in one piece. She climbed out of the car after eating some of the scraps she had taken from the kitchen and looked around. She was curious to see what her powers could do and believed that it would be rather useful in the next few minutes. "I'll knock on his door." She informed everyone and slowly made her way towards the front door. She would knock on it to see if the doc was willing to speak to them.

Randolph got out of the car and locked it, peering up at Weiss's home with a raised eyebrow. Not in surprise at the quality of the home, but in suspicion of what they might find inside. He hung back and waited in the driveway while Elisa approached the door, absentmindedly taking his lighter out of his pocket and giving it a few flicks.

Doctor Weiss opened his front door not too long after Elisa knocked on it. He looked at the woman, he was wearing a suit albeit not the same one he had been wearing that morning. "Yes, can I..." Weiss began but stopped as he saw Tobias and Guo crowding his car and Guo lifting up the bonnet to peak inside. He stepped outside and went over to confront them. "What do you think you're doing to my car!?" Weiss shouted. Due to his interruption, Guo didn't have time to starting sabotaging it.

There didn't appear to be anything of note inside the car and it was locked.

"Doc, you owe all of us a lotta answers and from our view, it doesn't look good for you." Elisa told the doc as she kept her eyes on him to make sure she was not about to be sucker punched by him. "Now, just tell us what the heck you got us into and everything you know."

Exactly what I thought would happen.
Though Tobias would be the only one to see it, Guo Jian's face went from one of focused interest, to one drained of all hope or patience for their group and their success. She seemed incredibly annoyed. However, as she closed the hood and began to turn around, her face shifted into the friendliest of smiles, as she began to approach the door.

"I am very sorry--I couldn't help but appreciate such a fine vehicle; I simply wanted to take a peek at her engine. If you like, perhaps I could see about ensuring its good, working condition." She wiped her hands off on her pants, and offered a handshake to Weiss. "Ms. Guo Jian, pleased to see you again, Doctor Weiss." Guo locked eyes with Weiss, looking for sign of recognition, fear, anxiety, or anything of note.

Dr. Moritz Koehler - Weiss' house.

Dr. Moritz Koehler sat still as those around him left the car. He watched the others get out of the car and then once the extra room was available rolled his dice. It landed on a five and then with no discernible reaction he retrieved it. Considering the option - he rolled again: 4. He still appeared dispassionate but inside excitement brewed. There was no greater excitement than that of facing the unknown: looking it right in the face and smiling. He didn't bothered to check that his gun was loaded: he wouldn't be needing it.

He ignored the emerging commotion and began to walk towards the townhouse with the intent of heading inside.

Tobias got no pleasure from seeing Weiss again. He ignored the man's question and merely gave him a dirty look.

He scowled as Guo spoke to the Doctor in such a polite, apologetic tone. What a fake little kiss ass.

"I'm surprised you're here." He said to Weiss. "Nice and snug and warm in your fancy townhouse. Bet you haven't even given a second thought to the group of poor lowlifes you left in the ruins, have you? Who's going to miss a bunch of homeless nobodies, hmm?" Tobias then muttered something rude in Baumbergish.

Weiss continued to look confused for a bit before a knowing look came over his face. "Oh, I see. You must be the day labourers Eolas hired. That makes sense..." said Weiss with a nod. He looked at the two cars the mages arrived in. "Then again, bitter day labourers wouldn't be able to afford cars like that. Who are you working for? Who sent you here?" Weiss asked in an anxious tone.

Moritz arrived at the open door to the house, he could head inside if he so desired.

Dr. Moritz Koehler - Weiss' house.

Moritz headed inside and tried to get a good idea of the layout. He made a particular effort to look for objects that might be considered peculiar.

Randolph walked up the driveway towards Weiss. "Before we tell you anything: first of all, we were hired as day labourers, but not by some 'Eolas'," he said sternly, and with a bit of irritation. "We were hired by you. And you led us into that ruin, and abandoned us there. Do you remember? Because if you don't, then there's a very good impersonator of you running around."

Moritz entered Weiss's home. He was standing in a hallway, to his right past an arch was a drawing room and to his left past an arch was a dinning room. There was an open book and mug on a coffee table in the drawing room suggesting that's where Weiss had been. There were also stairs to the second story and stairs to a basement in the hallway. The floors was wooden and the walls covered in green wallpaper. There were paintings on the wall, including one of Weiss himself. On a table in the hallway was a display case containing a ceremonial golden dagger. On the other side of the hallway, on another table was a display case containing a matchlock arquebus.
---
"Like I said, I didn't hire you, Eolas did." said Weiss. "Now, who are you working for?"

"We're asking the questions here, not you." Tobias walked up to Weiss.

"Do you thing we're stupid? I think we all remember what the man who hired us looked like, and like Randolph here said, unless he's your identical twin, or can change his body at will, then the man that hired us was you."
He stood very close to the doctor and looked him in the eye. "So, which is it? He a shapeshifter or are you a liar?"

Oh no. No, no, no. "Please, can we all just calm down?" Guo said, a bit of desperation seeping into her tone. "I think we have gotten off on the wrong foot. ...Doctor Weiss. Could we please speak in private? I will explain as much as I can, so we can all just...relax."
