I made a jack o'lantern out of an orange pepper once. It was just as effective, albeit smaller, not able to fit a candle inside and less room for decoration. But if you don't want to buy a pricey pumpkin, then peppers be good.

A ground beetle scuttled across the floor earlier. I guess I should try to find it and let it back outside, but I don't wanna deal with getting smelly beetlejuice on me.

Ground beetles - sounds like something you'd definitely get in an alternative medicine shop.

Thinking about it, there's that colouring in foods, cochineal, that's made from beetles, so I suppose you could call that 'beetlejuice.'

Great, now i have to go and watch the film if i can spare the cash to pick up a preowned copy! *Partially sulks*

Joking aside, i did hear rumours of a sequel and Keaton being up for it. But i do suspect Hollywood would destroy it with CGI, poor dialogue and why am i reminded of a number of sequels?

Is it me, or have sequels become increasingly more popular in the last five years? Especially sequels to old films from the 80s/90s, where the main character is, shall we say, now a bit chronologically challenged.

Not so much "more popular" but rather "desperate attempts to exploit an old brand because Hollywood's convinced that originality is too much a gamble, namely because some studios particularly suck at cultivating new talent".

if people keep paying for the sequels they will keep making it especially if it is cheaper to stick with recyling stuffs. i heard a rumour that a lot of people just buy the same stuff every year like iphones, batteries and toiletrees. if we boycott the sequels then they will stop making them

To be fair, batteries do have a limited life. That said, i once brought very cheap batteries and those lasted 3-4 years! And toileteries are useful for disposing of unwanted house guests. I mean, no-one expects a flaming toilet roll to be lobbed at them or a can of shaving foam to be rammed into their eyes or chest.
