Gaming PC Building Help

Post by Maxrebo »

There is a good chance I'll finally be able to build a Gaming PC in the near future. So I thought I would ask. What's good site for parts, even better if they will build your rig because I am very nervous about building it myself.Even better if the site offers financing.I will be sure to post the specs of my build before I order it so that the tech gods may judge and offer their sage advice.

here are two of my build ideas

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/maxrebo2/ ... iew=MPRxFT
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/maxrebo2/ ... iew=jYM7YJ

So how are those builds and what are your thoughts.
I can probably order this in around 3 months if nothing unexpected happens or sooner if my luck is with me.

I was considering building myself at one point but the just makes me real nervous and the fact that it would be best if I could finance it,I kinda decided on getting a made to order.I did some research and heard nothing but bad things about Cyber Power which was who I was considering at first because I now they did Sorcerer Dave's new PC.The two I have heard are New Egg and NCIX.So what site would you recommend?

Both builds look fine to me, tbh it's really your personal choice.
Just do me a favor and never buy into that liquid cooled [&@%!]. It's a waste of money and time, and is more risk than reward.

As far as sage advice, mine would be to build it yourself. I know, doing it the first time can be daunting, but trust me, you'll be alright. When I used to build to order for a living I would stick bare hands in with the computer on carpet, and never fried anything. As long as you always stay grounded to metal, you're fine. Even grabbing the chassis of the computer is fine.
Since it's your first time and you've got expensive parts here, though, I'd recommend you wear latex gloves, and build it on a metal or wooden table on a non-static floor (basically, no carpet). Always stay grounded to metal, and maybe even get an antistatic wrist cord to make it easier.
The reason why I push doing it yourself is cost, mainly, but knowing how your machine is configured is pretty useful. Can seriously prolong a machine's life when you know how to gut it and replace it. But, if you'd rather pay the extra cash to have it built, then go ahead. It's perfectly understandable, building is a daunting task :P
I don't have much experience with other builders, so I unfortunately can't recommend anyone.

Oh, also, I would highly recommend you swap those Gigabyte motherboards out with MSI motherboards. MSI is the best when it comes to mobos. You seem to be a Corsair fan, which is good, because they make some quality [&@%!]. Pretty good selection, should be a nice build :D
Oblivion is my playground Image Morrowind is my home
