There was a poetry competition at the farm the other day. Everyone thought that the chicken would win, but he was disqualified for fowl language.

That's not a pun or anything. I might just have discovered the replacement for the Dr. Fish pedicure fad: Dr. Chicken.

There's one difference:

Dr. Fish - fish delicately eat off your dead skin, leaving you with smooth feet
Dr. Chicken - chickens peck with sharp beaks, leaving you with cut bleeding feet

I think a chicken army would be more effective than a chicken pie army. Much more feasible too.

I don't like chicken in a pie - there's something about the taste of chicken that's too similar to the pastry. Beef or pork is much better.

Meat and pie shouldn't be in the same sentence. Unless it's mince meat, but there's no actual meat in that. Pie=fruit and sweet, not an actual meal with meat in it. :/

I quite like tarts but apart from that I always think of pastry as a meat companion.

I think they make a lamprey pie for Queen Elizabeth each Jubilee or something. At least it's pretty tame compared to some other medieval dishes.
