Well, to wait there for the next kalpa if you trust Paarthurnax. The Nords in Sovngarde are waiting to join Shor in battle after Alduin eats the world. Although if you believe the Redguards, the Far Shores is actually a way to escape the cycle of creation and remain there indefinitely like you say. I guess in that regard they might believe in reincarnation... but the Dreamsleeve is a Daedric thing as far as mainstream lore is concerned. Anyway, a little offtopic.MidbossVyers wrote:And stay there indefinitely with identity?

Re: Apotheosis
I think you misread what he said(or I am?). Dreamsleever reincarnation isnt canon, but the 'so-called' Dreamsleeve is, or at least is a supposed function of Aetherius >_> it just recycles the souls that dont receive an afterlife, but is not a form of reincarnation as we know it. Still, plenty of conflicting believes n lack of facts, this is TES after all
Possible Example:
A) A recycled bottle, used to make a new bottle
A direct link from old to new = reincarnation
B) A bunch of recycled bottles, the scraps used to make more bottles
Multiple sources for an individual = recycled
Edit: Ninja'd by Legoless
Anyways, Dagoth Ur I know is a mortal god much like the Tribunal, but what of his children?

Re: Apotheosis
Nope, that's what I'm saying. As far as I know the only mention of the word 'Dreamsleeve' is in Battlespire, where Daedra talk about it the same way they talk about the Void in later games. The concept of using the Dreamsleeve for soul recycling or sending messages is a Kirkbride-ism.BetaB17 wrote:I think you misread what he said(or I am?). Re: Apotheosis
That's quite a question. Say that someone dies and their spirit moves on to another plane of existence. Do they grow afterwards, diminish, or remain static for eternity? Do they learn and experience all the wonders and mysteries of existence once they move on, or do they forget their mortal memories/obligations/regrets that bind them to the previous world? Or do they remain an everlasting memory, neither forward nor backward— only what they have been is all they will ever be.MidbossVyers wrote:And stay there indefinitely with identity?
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

O yea I forgot to mention the tiger dragon emperor in akivari. He was a tiger man but he transform into a dragon and I think the Tigers see him as a god

Re: Apotheosis
Yeah. I think the idea behind it is that Akavir is meant to be the reverse image of Tamriel, so their Dragon God is backwards.

Re: Apotheosis
Have the Ideal Masters achieved apotheosis, or do they just happen to be the strongest undead in the Soul Cairn? According to Battlespire http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Ideal_Masters the Ideal Masters have coffins, which I assume hold their corpses.

Re: Apotheosis
The coffins hold little red gems in Battlespire, I think. I highly doubt the Ideal Masters were ever mortal.

They call themselves the Makers of the Soul Cairn, and were once mortals themselves

Re: Apotheosis
Derp, forgot that quote. You'd think I'd remember seeing as I wrote the article. That line is Battlespire-era info though; in Dawnguard, their true nature seems to be much less certain.
If they were mortal, I'd say that's definitely Daedric apotheosis. They are the Soul Cairn in its entirety to hear Serana tell it, which is identical to the power of any Daedric Prince.

Re: Apotheosis
My policy on older lore is that it still stands until contradicted directly. A surprising number of things from as far back as Daggerfall keep reappearing as recently as ESO.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.
