(People have gold and hope they win when they place their bets with him, but many of these same people will leave with no gold after betting on the wrong team a few times.)

To make matters worse, sleep cannot even bring me relief
For all I hear all night long

(He sleeps down in the Arena Bloodworks from 1am to 8am. He probably can't sleep very well though, as Agronak gro-Malog (The Gray Prince) spends all 24 hours of every day training by swinging his sword against the practice target.)

and when I am like a wheel that doesn't turn I am at my best. (A wheel that doesn't turn is broken, and when the amulet of kings is broken it releases an avatar of Akatosh which doesn't just hold the daedra at bay, but actually banishes them.)

(The first part references how, during the Main Quest, the PC has the amulet, loses the amulet, and then gets the amulet back. The second part references that even after the amulet is regained, the daedric barrier still gets broken.)
