Re: General Discussion
I only watched a few x files espisodes when i was a kid. Some of them wefe really scary and one even gave me a nightmare.
Ok these are the episodes i remember:
1. Scully is looking at a space ship flying up and its shooting a beam of light.
2. The fish man that lives in the sewers
3. The oil monster
4. The nazis (i might be wrong about the nazis) created a crab-like parasite and implant them inside peoples bellies. This is the one that scared me and haunted my sleep
5. And i might be mistaking this one for another show: a thing that turn into a woman, did it with a man, thrn turned into him and then killed him
6. Oh yeah and mulders computer password is trustno1, i think.
I want to watch all the episodes someday and the movie too.

Re: General Discussion
In one of those weird real life plot twists, my father has actually offered me his gaming rig. It's only a year younger than mine, but it's still miles better in every way... Including condition. Mine is the PC equivalent of a person with brain damage. His actually works, but he doesn't use it for gaming anymore. What's the point in having an expensive gaming PC if you're not going to use it for gaming? It's literally just an internet browsing machine. Even mine can do that (for now...).
I'm just going to have to ask him what its exact specs are. I know it has a 1000W power supply, 12GB of RAM, and a GTX 680 2GB in it. Don't know what CPU it has, though it runs games like Battlefield Hardline, so... Ugh. I'd rather build my own, but I can't really do that right now since I'm missing a credit card. I don't really make all that much, either, so I also don't want to spend money that I can't easily replace.
There's not much of a choice here. My PC is on the brink of giving up and I can't yet buy parts for another one. I think I'm going to have to talk to my father about the fun process of swapping PCs.

Re: General Discussion
I watched The X-Files for the first two years when it was a paranormal detective show. I cut loose after the second season when it started to become a UFO conspiracy theorist's soap opera.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

^^That's a good way of describing it lol. We have Mulder's poster in our computer room. I think UFOs are a bunch of crap but I still enjoyed all of the alien abduction episodes. Although the best ones were the detective ones, I agree with you.

Re: General Discussion
I'm not fond of the idea of rebooting the entire franchise as it is a bit lazy due to them going timey wimey happened again but considering Salvation was just boring and lacked the action of T3. It is something i will check out when it is released on dvd. That and it has Arnie fighting Arnie, admittly, in blatantly obvious CGI form but still, the trailers make it seem like a fun little film and this is said to be the begining of a new trilogy. I hope the sequel is a prequel set in the future wars as we must have one film that does it. That said, i would like to see a decent Terminator game that takes place both in the past and the future in the form of an open world FPS. It just feels wrong to place a terminator with the iconic DOS filter. That and no health regeneration in exchange for being a bullet sponge would be easy to explain.Knight Captain Kerr wrote:Ah, it's a strange (and admittedly upsetting) thing having people not believe you exist.
I saw the new Terminator film. It's not very good but it wasn't awful, like it was better than the 3rd & 4th ones and me and my friends did enjoy ourselves. Honestly I think my favorite film in the series is the first one. Also I like the idea of having an administrative response to the fact that a killer robot from the future is murdering people. Because, there would have to be. That whole thing is part of why I like The X-Files.

Re: General Discussion
I think it's a bit average if i remember correctly.
Also, Adam Sandler seems to be trying to make Wreck It Ralph but with a Sandler take on it via Pixels. I don't know why people say that as i've not seen Wreck it Ralph but as usual, i shall expect it to suck. That said, his films are average at best so yeah, it is barely on my radar.

Wreck It Ralph was the best movie of it's kind I've seen in many years.
I'll also put Rubber on the watch list. Never heard of it before.

I thought you were joking, Meta. I googled the film out of curiosity and, oh, yes, it is actually a film about a homicidal car tire.
Now I'm curious as to how it kills its victims.

You took that pun someplace others would dare not to tread.
