I picked up Fallout 3 at the sale. Playing it should prevent Hype Critical Mass.

No, mods are coming to PS4, eventually. As long as Sony okay it.
But even though I'm getting it on PS4, PC will without a doubt be the best way to play. It just will be.Burke from Aliens wrote:We will be. Well, we're going to make every effort to. If Sony says no, we won't, but I don't think they will.
"But, you know, it will come out on PC first. So early 2016, the creation mod for the PC, and then we're going to make that work on the Xbox One, and then we're going to do the PS4 version."
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

That's us in the UK [&@%!] then as the European branch of Sony love to take their time. That said, it's been years since i've paid attention to them so they may have improved. My experiences come from the PSN store and how crap it used to be.Knight Captain Kerr wrote:No, mods are coming to PS4, eventually. As long as Sony okay it.

Anyway, regarding modding on the PS4, yeah, it is unnatural to me. I rather get in on PC as to me, mods are the natural thing to have on PC games. That and more protection against viruses. I do wonder if i will need to either pay a [&@%!] ton of cash to get one built that can handle the likes of Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and basically be more powerful version of the PS4/X1 or if i can get away with a mid range PC for half a grand.

They haven't released specs for the game yet, right? I mean, I'm not too on the edge of my seat, since I'd have a hard time believing I wouldn't be able to run it at maximum settings at 60 FPS, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

They tend to not release specs until they're fairly close to release, if not at release. I imagine it's not going to be that taxing on any rig that has parts more recent than the latest console generation.

*looks at his crappy smartphone that runs on Android* Yeah, i don't think my phone is getting it. Not because they've yet to release it on Android but because my phone is just meh and is likely to cause a supernova if i play a game on it that's not a preinstalled demo. Or i just yet to top it up.

I wonder how viable a baseball themed, melee oriented character would be. The bat with sawblades from E3 had 30 damage, and materials seem to be cosmetic only.
Maybe they sell atomic supercharged mega bats at the Swatters store?

Re: Fallout 4
I think it may have been a nod to Dead Island's Batsaw weapon. Or just a coincidence. I do hope that weapons like chainsaws, rippers will have sound again as it bugged me that in New Vegas, there was no sound. Granted, it was most likely due to a bug but still. Oh and i hope that if we lose both arms for our power armour, we can headbutt people to death or have our actual arms exposed and be less effective at using it.

Re: Fallout 4
Honestly I hope if we still got durability on items (which currently is not clear as far as I know) Repair goes by raw materials now and not by having the same item type. Would make much more sense and with the whole being able to collect materials for building/crafting it should be easy to integrate.Thelastdovah wrote:Oh and i hope that if we lose both arms for our power armour, we can headbutt people to death or have our actual arms exposed and be less effective at using it.

Re: Fallout 4
It would be nice if we could instead of having to comb the wastelands for one pauldron because a deathclaw ate the last one. When i pick this up next year(lack a PC that can play it and lack a PS4), i will be very tempted to play Black Sabbath's Iron Man when flying the Power Armour. What?

that's a good idea because i think that they should allow us to kill deathclaws and make armour from their bones and skin. that will compliment the deathclaw gauntlet very well i thinkThelastdovah wrote:It would be nice if we could instead of having to comb the wastelands for one pauldron because a deathclaw ate the last one. Re: Fallout 4
I don't think that would be plausible as deathclaw skin is not really durable, i think. They just happen to be very tough [&@%!] and can take a lot of punishment. Their bones, i think the claws are their strongest asset.

Not after what most Fallout PCs are done with it.
Plus, bullet ridden hides are sooooo 2281. It's all about power armour nowadays.

Re: Fallout 4
Ok here is my short review for the Fallout Sheltrr app.
1. The game will make your phone hot and drains thr batteries fast
2. Maybe its my iphone 6 plus but sometimes when the vault is under attack by raiders i will click on a dweller to equip them. But when i want to switch to another dweller it won't let me, the controls just seem to freeze. One of my dwellers died because of this so i had to resurrect him.
3. This is my first phone game and i'm not impressed. You have to wait quite a few minutes or sometimes hours (depends on what) for the workers to yield resources/results.
They should put a system where we can convert the caps we make in the app into caps in FO4 when it launches.

Re: Fallout 4
Shelter needs some more work. I'm sure in a few months the updates will have rolled in and it'll be a much better game. As of right now the resource consumption is unreasonably difficult to balance.

I just saw on my news feed that Fallout 4 will have no level cap. Nice. Read it from three different sources

Re: Fallout 4
Except within the context of what little we know of Fallout 4's story, that doesn't make sense. Such has probably already been discussed, but whatever, I'll slap it in a spoiler tag just in case.all_freed wrote:They should put a system where we can convert the caps we make in the app into caps in FO4 when it launches.
Spoiler:
Plus, it'd be spending time to program it, unnecessarily, just for...what? 1000 starting caps or something? I'd rather they focus on making the actual game, and fixing whatever bugs they find before launch, than just handing over some in game currency. All in all, very much not worth it. Better to earn Fallout 4 caps by the sweat of your own brow, arranging brahmin caravans and the like, than grinding an iphone game for a bit. Cheapens the experience. ...Don't know why I felt the need for such an overlong rant. Probably just because I'm excited for Fallout 4. ...And Fallout Shelter for 'droid, to a degree. One more week!

@Baloth-Kul
Yea i did think of some of those too. I wont say a thing about development costs, time, and dividing up the employee energy. But heres what i had in mind wen i posted about the interconnecti ity feature.
Ok here it goes:
fallout shelter game is a propaganda game released by vault tec. It is used by them to idealise life in a vault to try and lure victims to the experiments. Just like the sunset sasparilla promo where they give rewars for buying drinks i think that vault tec could do a nuka cola partnership where every cap earned in the game can be saved and then redeemed for a nuka cola. The player character takes their super PES (pipboy entertainment aystem) down to the vault. When they resurface they have the virtual capa from the shelter game and they explore the wadteland and find te nuka cola hq. When they turn in their virtual caps a giant vending machine drops all the unclaimed nuka colas (bombs fell before anyone can redeem them). Then we can share our nuka cola with everyone (even our followers) and we get to keep the caps. what do you think?
Oh yeah and i remeber from somewhere that pre-war geniuses hypothesised that bottle caps would be the most likeliest currency in a post apocalypse. Ok i might just be making that part up cause of my bad memory.

Re: Fallout 4
I think Bethesda just can't be arsed to come up with a new currency and are relying on bottle caps to push their handwaving of why are these the currency. I would have either used an original currency or turn it into a trade based currency. Want a bottle of water? That's five pieces of scrap metal or a pistol. Want power armour? Get the [&@%!] out of my shop unless you have 20 metal suits, a gattling laser and a fatman.
And i really hope that the endings will resemble Fallout Endings instead of the crap ending slide shows in 3 that didn't go into depth about everything you did like every fallout game before it did. Apart from tatics. There was no other game after tatics prior to 3.

Oh, deletion. Cute.
I dunno, Vil, but I certainly hope so. It'd be difficult without a plug-in keyboard, but it'd still be nice.
The graphics look great, people are nuts.
